DEVELOPMENT OF INDEPENDENT AND CREATIVE ACTIVITIES AND SKILLS OF FUTURE
PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS BASED ON A COMPETENCY-BASED APPROACH

Abstract:
This article explores the development of
independent and creative activity of mastery of
future primary school teachers based on the
competency-based approach, it considers the
process of creative activity of mastery of future
primary school teachers. Key approaches such as
the competency-based approach are discussed.
The study results allow us to better understand the
development of independent and creative activity
of mastery of future primary school teachers based
on the competency-based approach.
INTRODUCTION
The development of independent and creative activity of subsequent primary school
teachers based on competency demand is an important factor in modern education. The competency-
based approach focuses on practical skills and abilities that allow future teachers to effectively adapt to
rapidly changing conditions of the educational environment.
An important aspect of teacher training is the creation of conditions for the development of their
creativity and independence. This is corrected through the introduction of effective teaching methods,
projects, and active forms of work that contribute to the formation of critical thinking and self-regulation
abilities.
In addition, it is important to integrate elements of interdisciplinarity and the use of information and
communication technologies into the educational process, which contributes to the expansion of
horizons of thinking and the active development of students in the educational process. Thus, the
development of independent and creative activity of future primary school teachers, based on the
competency-based approach, ensures the training of highly qualified specialists, and competitive
specialists who can effectively solve professional problems and introduce innovations in education.
One of the key areas of training future primary school teachers is developing their ability to reflect and
self-assess. This allows teachers to analyze their activities, identify strengths and weaknesses, and set

new goals. Reflective practice promotes personal and professional growth, which in turn improves the
quality of the educational process.
It is also worth noting the importance of cooperation and teamwork in the educational process. Creating
conditions for student interaction, exchange of ideas, and collective problem-solving allows the
development of not only professional but also social skills. Such an approach develops future teachers'
ability to work in a team, respect the opinions of others, and find compromises.
The introduction of project-based learning is another effective tool for developing the creativity and
independence of future teachers. Projects based on real needs and problems encourage students to
actively search for solutions and apply theoretical knowledge in practice, which contributes to the deep
assimilation of the material and the formation of professional competencies.
In addition, it is important to consider the role of technology in the educational process. Integrating
digital tools and resources into learning helps develop the competencies needed to work in a modern
educational environment. Future teachers should be prepared to use modern technologies to create
interactive and engaging lessons, making learning more effective and accessible to all students.
The practice of involving parents in the educational process is no less relevant. Establishing partnerships
between school and family helps to create a unified educational space where parents become active
participants in the upbringing and education of their children. This, in turn, increases the responsibility of
students and forms their understanding of the importance of interaction with the community.
Thus, an integrated approach to the training of future primary school teachers, including reflection,
cooperation, project-based learning, and the use of technology, contributes to the formation of
competent and responsible teachers who are able to adequately respond to the challenges of modern
education and effectively develop their professional skills.
An important aspect of training future teachers is the development of critical thinking and the ability to
self-analyze. These qualities allow teachers not only to adapt their methods to the needs of students but
also to constantly improve their professional skills. Creating conditions for reflection in the classroom
helps students develop the ability to critically evaluate their actions and find solutions in various
educational situations.
Cooperation between teachers also plays a key role in the educational process. Sharing experiences,
planning lessons together, and participating in learning projects stimulate creativity and innovative
thinking. Partnerships between educators allow them to learn from successful practices and create
richer, more diverse educational programs.
In addition, project-based learning becomes an important tool for develop
ing students’ teamwork and
time management skills. Project-based classes allow students not only to master theoretical knowledge
but also to apply it in practice, which contributes to a deeper understanding of the material being studied.
Thus, the development of critical thinking and self-analysis skills becomes not only the task of future
teachers but also a key component of their professional growth. Teachers who are aware of the
importance of reflection can effectively analyze their methods and approaches, which, in turn, has a
positive effect on the learning process and the results of their students.
Collaborative projects and interdisciplinary approaches are also becoming key elements in learning.
These methods contribute not only to deepening knowledge but also to strengthening the connections
between different subjects, which contributes to a holistic perception of information. Students learn to
work in a group, distribute responsibilities, and evaluate the contribution of each participant, which
develops their social skills and self-confidence.
In addition, the integration of technology into the educational process opens up new horizons for
learning. The use of digital tools and platforms creates an interactive environment where students can

independently explore topics, communicate, and share ideas, which further stimulates their motivation
to learn. Ultimately, such approaches create professionals who are more active and prepared for real-
