Eating a large amount of carbohydrate foods, feeding with sweet dairy and sour milk products contribute to the development of caries in children under one year old and subsequently lead to premature extraction of milk teeth. All of the above factors and the fact that the prevalence of caries and its complications, dentoalveolar anomalies in children is growing every year, and this confirms that this topic remains relevant. A total of 310 patients were examined, followed up for periods from 1 to 5 years. The duration and number of courses of iron therapy depends on the initial level of serum iron and its dynamics during treatment. The amount of iron in the blood serum of donors ranges from 74,8 to 119.0 mg in men 11 from 55,7 to 104,3 mg in women. When examining practically healthy people, we received the following results: for men 62±3,8 mcg, women 67±3,9 mg. In the patients with atrophic rhinitis observed by us, the level of non-hemoglobin iron in the blood was significantly lower than normal and averaged 43±2,5 mcg for men, and 38±2,8 mcg for women. Based on our results, we recommend conservative treatment, including iron supplements and antimicrobial agents, for minor and moderate atrophic rhinitis, as well as in all elderly people. The importance of this problem increases due to the increase in the number of patients who have undergone surgical interventions for the removal of neoplasms, industrial and domestic injuries. In addition, the number of victims of road accidents, man-made accidents and catastrophes, local armed conflicts does not decrease. The presence of defects in the jaw bones inevitably leads to the development of functional disorders, primarily to the dysfunction of chewing. With defects in the upper jaw, the formation of an oronasal message is possible, which causes a disorder of breathing, swallowing and sound formation. Defects in the jaw bones lead to the loss of teeth, cause facial asymmetry, i.e. are accompanied by the loss of the aesthetic appearance of a person. Dysfunctions of the maxillary system contribute to the occurrence of pathological changes on the part of the temporomandibular joints. Against the background of impaired chewing function, gastrointestinal tract diseases often form in patients with PD or their course becomes heavier. Pronounced structural and functional disorders of the maxillofacial region lead to a change in the psychosocial status of patients. Patients with PD form complex clinical conditions for conducting rational orthopedic treatment, while, according to WHO, 100% of patients with this pathology need prosthetic treatment. In the course of the study, the state of phosphorus-calcium metabolism in patients with secondary partial adentia was studied using dental implantation of the upper jaw. In the blood serum of 72 examined patients, the parameters of phosphorus-calcium metabolism were determined. In the group of patients with unsuccessful dental implant engraftment, higher levels of free ionized calcium were found at comparable levels of total calcium, inorganic phosphate. It is important to study and analyze in detail the causes of the COVID-19 outbreak, conditions that facilitate or prevent the spread of infection in the future as part of this outbreak. This study made it possible to determine the frequency of relapses, the degree of lesion of the foci, "risk factors" and "foci" among people who had contact with outbreaks of COVID-19. At an older age (13-15 years old), children become less contact, withdrawn and laugh little. All this ultimately leads to various nervous disorders. On the basis of experimental and clinical observations, it was established that disruption of the continuity of the dentition causes pathomorphological and functional changes near the defect and extends to the entire dentition, and then to the entire body as a whole. Psycho-emotional tension in children at the dentist takes a special place in modern scientific knowledge. A considerable amount of research is devoted to it, and not only in psychology, but in medicine, physiology, philosophy, sociology. In the last decade, the interest of dentists in the study of anxiety before a visit to the dentist has increased significantly due to the dramatic changes in society, generating uncertainty and unpredictability of the future and, as a result, experiences of emotional tension, anxiety and restlessness. The presented results can help to decide on more effective strategies for antimycotic therapy and to develop an appropriate prophylaxis program for these patients. Bacterial/Fungal Coinfection - currently considered a major oral complication of COVID-19. Excessive broad-spectrum antibiotics are thought to play a major role in these manifestations, especially in the case of a prolonged course of the disease. The development of oropharyngeal candida is fraught with life-threatening candidemia, which determines the need for the dentist to participate in primary care groups and his role in preventing these complications. The issue of immune response in candida associated with COVID-19 is extremely important. SARS-CoV2 infection initiates an immune response that triggers an inflammatory cascade of increased activity of innate immune cells. However, the current level of knowledge about the type of response of the immune system to SARS-CoV-2 does not give an idea of the immune-mediated pathogenesis of COVID-19-associated candida (CAC) Olga BEKJANOVA , Visola KAYUMOVA , Elyor Rizaev Copyright (c) 2022 Journal of oral medicine and craniofacial research https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://inlibrary.uz/index.php/oral_medicine/article/view/809 Sun, 13 Feb 2022 00:00:00 +0800 PURULENT COMPLICATIONS AND RISKS IN ORTHOGNATHIC SURGERY https://inlibrary.uz/index.php/oral_medicine/article/view/808 This article discusses the issue of orthognathic surgery, there are still potential risks in practice, being a planned surgical method for correcting facial deformities. So, according to scientific publications, post-surgical complications of a purulent-inflammatory nature are among the most frequent emergency situations that a dentist has to treat. For optimal treatment of septic oral problems, the practitioner must understand the underlying causes and etiology of odontogenic infections. Therefore, given the biology and resistance to a wide range of antibacterial agents of the major pathogens, their treatment should be a standard procedure for every dentist. Although the known treatment regimens (conservative and invasive) recommended in international medical practice are usually standard procedures, these processes can create complications ranging from mild local problems such as trismus, edema, pain, up to more spongy spread of cervical infections, embolism and septic states of patients. In all circumstances, therapy for odontogenic inflammation should not be delayed, and stepwise, evidence-based, evidence-based standard procedures should be followed to achieve a positive outcome. The healing process, being a dynamic process, should be controlled taking into account modern approaches to identifying the main etiological agents, as well as non-odontogenic ones for differential diagnosis. From periodontal pathologies to children with disabilities, the most common are inflammatory periodontal diseases - chronic catarrhal gingivitis. Chronic catarrhal gingivitis is a specific inflammatory process that is formed due to the concomitant effects of various EXO- and endogenous factors on the periodontal. The results of many researchers indicate that chronic infection in the soft tissues of the periodontal cavity and the health of the entire body is one of the extremely adverse consequences of inflammatory processes and increased risk factors leading to the transition of parallel catarrhal gingivitis into severe and intractable - ocular periodontitis. Purpose of the study: To study the taste sensitivity of the tongue using the density measurement method in patients with glossalgia who have undergone COVID -19. Materials and methods: 88 people took part in the study, they were divided into 2 groups: the main group - 51 people with glossalgia who underwent COVID-19 and the comparison group consisted of 37 people who have only glossalgia, who did not have COVID- 19. (Table 1). The study period was 3.6 months after treatment. In the main group of patients there were 15 men (29.41± 6.38%), in the comparison group - 8 men (21.62± 6.77%). The number of women in the main group was 36 (70.59 ± 6.38% ), in the comparison group - 29 (78.38 ± 6.77% ). (Chi-square = 8.647; p = 0.003; Chi-square = 11.919; p = 0.001) are reliably significant. The control group consisted of 20 healthy individuals, including 11 women and 9 men. Patients in the comparison group with glossalgia who did not have COVID -19 received traditional treatment with oral baths, antioxidants, and patients with glossalgia who underwent COVID -19 received complex pathogenetic treatment, compiled together with a neuropathologist using sedative, antioxidant drugs, and physiotherapy were re-determined indicators of taste sensitivity of the tongue. Research results and discussion : In the studied groups of patients with glossalgia, especially those who underwent COVID-19 (main group) compared with patients with glossalgia who did not have COVID-19 (comparison group), there was a change in the HJF threshold for all types of stimuli - sweet, salty, sour and bitter, which is explained by the combination of glossalgia - as a neuro- dental disease, as well as the influence of the psycho-emotional state of patients who have undergone COVID -19 in combination with neurological pathology (main group). Conclusions. 1. After carrying out a complex pathogenetic treatment, compiled together with a neuropathologist in patients with glossalgia who have undergone COVID-19, when determining the taste sensitivity of the tongue to sweet, salty, sour and bitter, there is a significant decrease in modality indicators, respectively, by 50.00%, 72.00% , 51.80% and 41.30% (P <0.001).
