STUDY OF PSYCHOPATHOLOGICAL SYMPTOMS IN PATIENTS
WITH ROSACEA

Introduction.
Dermatological diseases, especially on the face, can seriously disrupt the daily
life of patients, causing psychological problems and a decrease in the quality of life. Rosacea is
one of these diseases, accompanied by severe clinical manifestations that can significantly affect
the emotional state of the patient.
Purpose of the study.
To assess psychopathological symptoms in patients suffering from
rosacea.
Materials and methods.
22 patients with rosacea and 30 people in the control group were
examined. We used the DIQJ questionnaire (andthe ndex of the qualityof life in dermatological
patients). The statistical significance of the obtained measurements when comparing the average
values was determined by the Student's criterion (t).
Results and discussions.
Patients with rosacea showed an increase in psychopathological
symptoms, such as somatization, obsessive-compulsive disorders, anxiety and depression,
compared with the control group. These results indicate a negative effect of rosacea on the mental
state of patients and their quality of life.
Conclusions.
Rosacea has a moderately negative impact on the quality of life of patients,
accompanied by various psychopathological manifestations. Psychological factors can complicate
the course of the disease and its treatment, emphasizing the medical and social significance of the
problem.
