The aim of this article is to thoroughly investigate the theme "The category of person" and reveal its specific grammatical, pragmatic, stylistic, lexical and semantic peculiarities. Also I aimed at analysing the use of the category of person in the literary work "Love of life " by Jack London. This way we intend to survey the use of person in a literary work by a definite author and reveal his writing style.
