  • The effect of gastric hydrolysis of proteins on the formation of protein-polysaccharide complexes was studied. The study was conducted in vitro, gastric juice, starch, casein, albumin solutions, as well as casein and albumin hydrolysates were used in the work. It is concluded that the use of a mixture of starch and casein or albumin contributes to a significant decrease in light transmission, which is the inverse of the increase in turbidity of the solution. Simultaneously, an increase in turbidity may be a consequence of the formation of starch-casein or starch-albumin complexes. Simultaneously, the use of a mixture of starch and casein hydrolysate or albumin hydrolysate contributes to higher light transmission or lower turbidity of the solution, which may be a consequence of the low formation of starch complexes and protein hydrolysates. The obtained results also demonstrate that the hydrolysis of proteins by pepsin of the stomach contributes to a decrease in the number of protein-polysaccharide complexes.

  • The present pandemic and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV-2) have resulted in a significant number of deaths worldwide. Today the number of deaths exceeds 4.55 million people. To identify drugs for additional effective treatment of SARS-CoV-2 infection, a screen was created to measure the dimerization of angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), the main virus entry receptor into the cell. This screen identified fenofibric acid, the active metabolite of fenofibrate. Fenofibric acid also destabilized the receptor-binding domain (RBD) of the viral spike protein and inhibited the binding of RBD to ACE2 in an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Fenofibrate and fenofibric acid have been tested by two independent laboratories. In both cases, at concentrations of the drug in clinical doses, fenofibrate and fenofibric acid reduced viral infection by up to 70% (15. 23]. Together with an extensive history of clinical use and a relatively good safety profile, this study identifies fenofibrate as a potential therapeutic agent requiring clinical evaluation for the treatment of SARS-CoV-2 infection in comorbid patients with hypertension and high body mass index.

  • Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is the most common acute leukemia in adults. The pathophysiology of this disease is only beginning to be understood at the cellular and molecular level, and cytogenetic markers are currently the most important for risk stratification and treatment of AML patients. However, with the advent of new technologies, the discovery of other molecular markers, such as point mutations, indicates that the disease is approaching. Recent data show that the identification of new biomarkers for AML contributes to a better understanding of the molecular basis of the disease, is significantly useful in screening, diagnosis, prognosis and monitoring of AML. as well as the ability to predict the response of each person to treatment. This review summarizes the most important molecular (genetic, epigenetic, and proteinaceous) biomarkers associated with acute myeloid leukemia and discusses their clinical relevance in terms of risk prediction, diagnosis, and prognosis.

  • Currently, in the treatment of urolithiasis (UL) preference is given to herbal preparations. Despite the wide range of herbal medicines (HM) for the treatment of UL, none of those currently used are ideal for the treatment of patients with calcium urolithiasis and preurolithiasis. In this regard, the further research on the study of the properties of drugs from medicinal plants of the Hora of Uzbekistan is important. The goal is to examine the relationship between the anti-lithogenic efficacy and the diuretic power of plant diuretics. Material and methods. In 212 patients with the calcium type of urolithiasis, the diuretic and saluretic abilities of the infusions from seven medicinal plants of the flora of Uzbekistan were investigated. The selected HM are widely known among doctors and patients. Results. Their diuretic ability of HM is different. The strong diuretics: Alhagi pseudoalhagi (+ 65.2%) and Herba Aervea Lanata a (+ 50.19%). The moderate diuretics: Stigmata Maydis (+ 42.12%), Achillea fllipendulina (41.34%) and Hypericum perforatum (+ 29.06%). The weak diuretics: Folia Menthae piperitae (+ 23.53%) and Friictus Rosae (+ 12.59%). The calculation of the ion activity index revealed differences in the severity of the anti-litogenic effect. Infusions were distributed in the following sequence: Alhagi pseudoalhagi (-71.65%) - Achillea fllipendulina (-63.14%) -Herba Aervea Lanata (-49.86%) - Folia Menthae piperitae (-41.36%) - Stigmata Maydis (-33.08%) - Hypericum perforatum (-33.02%) - Fructus Rosae (-15.43%). Conclusion. The strength of the diuretic effect should not be considered the primary factor in the change in the activity of stone formation. Therefore, when prescribing HM, this factor (diuretic effect) is not the main criterion for prevention and metaphy lax is.

  • The issues of hormonal regulation of inflammatory reactions in periodontium and their development on the background of thyroid gland dysfunction remain insufficiently studied. The markers of inflammation and periodontal microbiocenosis in rats with periodontitis without concomitant pathology and on the background of hyper- and hypothyroidism have been studied. The results of our studies showed that the urease activity in the periodontal tissues homogenate of rats with periodontitis increased by 3.1 times, in rats with periodontitis and hyperthyroidism by 5.1 times, in rats with periodontitis and hypothyroidism by 3.8 times compared to the control group. At the same time, the changes in lysozyme activity in the homogenate of periodontal tissues were multidirectional. Thus, in rats with periodontitis on the background of hyperthyroidism this index significantly increased by 13.9%, in rats with periodontitis on the background of hypothyroidism - decreased by 1.9 times compared to the control group. The activity of elastase in the homogenate of periodontal tissues in rats with periodontitis increased by 50.8%, in rats with periodontitis and hyperthyroidism by 92.3%, in rats with perio-dontitis and hypothyroidism by 73.2% compared to the control group. It has been concluded that experimental periodontitis is accompanied with the increase in elastase and urease activities and the decrease in lysozyme activity in the homogenate of periodontal tissues. These data indicate on the development of local inflammatory reactions, a pronounced degree of dysbiosis, and the decrease in the level of nonspecific protection. Imbalance of thyroid hormones strongly affects the course of periodontitis, especially in hyperthyroidism

  • To characterize the morphological and functional changes in the myocardium arising from the develop-ment of chronic iron-deficiency anemia the terms of «anemic heart» or anemic cardiomiopathy are used. For the purpose of the main pathogenetic mechanisms, in particular lipid peroxidation, 140 patients suffering from chronic anemia of varying degrees of severity and cardiomyopathy and 30 generally healthy individuals were studied. During the research it was identified that the main mechanisms stimulating the cascade of metabolic and morphofunctional changes in the heart of patient suffering from IDA are the indication of hemical hypoxia and activation of the processes of lipid peroxidation which lead to the decrease in antioxidant protection. In turn, the reduction of antioxidant protection leads to the intensification of production of pro-inflammatory cy- tokines which are involved in fibrillar collagen degradation and intensification of cardiomyocyte apoptosis, that causes cardiomiopathy

  • We studied the role of casein and its hydrolysates in the inhibition of lipase and its binding ability with bile acids, by changing the activity of pancreatic lipase and digesting fats. It was concluded that preliminary hydrolysis of pepsin proteins in the stomach not only further improves their hydrolysis under the influence of proteolytic enzymes of pancreatic juice (tryptic attack of proteins), but also reduces their binding capacity with bile acids and improves hydrolysis of fats under the influence of pancreatic lipase. This fact is probably more important for the hydrolytic function of the stomach than the tryptic attack of proteins in the stomach and the main evolutionary factor in the preliminary digestion of proteins with gastric juice.

  • Analysis of the literature data shows the relevance and significance of prolonged neonatal hyperbilirubinemia in the present. Excessive accumulation of bilirubin in the serum of a newborn can become negative in the growth and development of the individual as a whole. The particularly toxic effect of bilirubin leads to such negative consequences as damage to the central nervous system, after which paresis, paralysis and even death in the neonatal period can occur. The primary condition for solving this problem is a differential diagnostic approach of the etiology and clinical symptoms of prolonged neonatal hyperbilirubinemia.

  • The inflammatory process in the periodontium is the most widespread among dental diseases, that is characterized by a recurrent course and significantly reduces the quality of life patients. Existing data about structural and pathomorphological changes in the tissues of the periodontal complex for the of inflammation development does not explain largely the patterns of the destructive phenomena development in this pathology. and therefore require additional research. The purpose of this study was to determine the peculiarities of struc- tural components of periodontal complex and their changes on the 7 th day of the experimental bacterial- immune periodontitis development. In the study of intact animals, it was found that connective tissue of its own plate is represented by collagen fibers, forms high connective tissue papillae and closely adheres to the epithe- lium. The histological study showed that on the 7th day of the experimental bacterial-immune periodontitis de- velopment of typical and spread inflammatory reaction onto all periodontium was observed. However, the se-verity of this reaction was different in the structural components of the periodontium. Fibroblasts were the most often found among cellular elements, less frequently – histiocytes, lymphocytes, single plasmacytes and mono-cytes. It was an increase of the fibroblasts number, that perform the resorptive functionof collagen fibers and reduce number of active osteoblasts. All these pathomorphological changes testified about of the inflammatory process development
