Abstract:

The teaching of the Russian language in

the no philological specialties requires a specific
approach, since there is no presence of the

professional interest of students. Ways of solving
this problem are presented in this article - namely,

how to involve students in research activities. The
experience of research work of students in the

study of the course "Russian language and culture
of speech" in a technical college. Examples of the

number of already tested and the result.

INTRODUCTION

Currently, conditions have developed where the demand for a specialist in the labor market largely
depends on the ability to communicate effectively. Effective communication, mastery of speech

influence techniques, the ability to persuade are an integral part of the general culture of any specialist:

engineer, economist, manager. Interest in the native language is becoming a necessity for everyone who

strives to achieve success. The study of this discipline is designed to ensure the formation of the
following universal (general cultural) competence: to correctly, reasonably and clearly construct oral

and written speech, the ability to freely speak literary and business written speech in Russian, public

and scientific speech skills; create and edit texts for professional purposes, analyze the logic of
reasoning and statements. The discipline "Russian Language and Culture of Speech" is studied in the

first semester of the first year and is included in cycle B1 ("Humanitarian, Social and Economic Cycle").

Teaching Russian in non-philological specialties requires a specific approach, since there is no

professional interest of students. But, "in addition to highly specialized knowledge and skills, the culture
of speech, oratory skills and the ability to correctly build relationships with other people are

professionally significant. The new educational paradigm sets an important task for the education

system: - to prepare an educated, intelligent, thinking, creative person who can adapt to a rapidly

changing socio-economic environment." The task of the teacher is to introduce this postulate into the

student environment. The ways of solving this problem are designed to ensure one of the aspects of the
section "Independent work of students", namely, the involvement of students in research activities. The

Department of Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communications of our university published a

methodological manual "Organization of independent activities of students", which significantly
facilitates the first experience of searching and processing scientific material. This manual is placed on

the e-learning educational platform, which ensures its constant availability, since "the new paradigm of

modern education "student - computer - teacher" (the traditional system "teacher - textbook - student")
puts the educational process on a qualitatively different, higher level. The leading activity in this process

becomes the student's activity - he becomes a learner; the teacher acts as an assistant in his independent

activity."

One of the types of independent work of students is, undoubtedly, scientific research activity. In
education, the goal of research activity is to acquire the skill of mastering reality by students. Thus,

under the student's research activity we will understand "implementation of a creative task with a

previously unknown solution and assuming the presence of the main stages of research in the scientific
field (problem formulation, study of theory, collection of material, its analysis and generalization,

selection of research methods, practical mastery of them, summing up".

Each topic assumed familiarization with general scientific and specifically scientific research methods,

which is important for further education at the university and work on term papers and final qualifying
papers. For example, how this applies to specific student research papers.

"Youth jargon in the speech culture of a modern student (using the example of compiling a short

dictionary of student jargon)". Mandatory points of the plan for this work: the concept of jargon in
scientific literature; the concept of youth (student) jargon; dictionary of jargon. Research methods -

theoretical (analysis of literature and the conceptual and terminological system); empirical

(observation); sociological (questionnaire).

RESEARCH METHODS

theoretical (analysis of the conceptual and terminological system and archival documents); general

theoretical (comparison and contrast); historical (study of the present, modern state of the subject of

scientific research; reconstruction of the past - consideration of the genesis, emergence of the latter and

the main stages of its historical movement; foreseeing the future, forecasting trends in the further

development of the subject). This topic was accepted for development by many students.

"Language portrait of a modern engineer". At first glance, this topic does not arouse much interest

among students. The fact is that before the development begins, they do not see the possibility of
scientific research in the study of the above-mentioned problem. However, in the process of forming a

language portrait of a modern engineer, a lot of questions arise that require close attention, and the

topic gains a kind of applied popularity. Research methods: theoretical (analysis of literature and
conceptual and terminological system), by means of which the concepts of "language portrait" and

"communicative competence" are also explained and differentiated; the method of empirical research

(visual observation) is an active cognitive process that is a deliberate and purposeful perception of
phenomena of the external world in order to study and find meaning in phenomena. As a result of

including this topic in the students' research activities within the framework of studying the discipline

"Russian Language and Speech Culture", we received professional dictionaries independently compiled

by students: "Dictionary of a Civil Engineer", "Dictionary of an Electrical Engineer", "Dictionary of a
Safety Engineer", which include from 75 to 160 lexical units. It should be noted that the work on

compiling dictionaries requires ease of manipulation of terms and a rich vocabulary of the future

engineer, which is lacking in practice among first-year students. But, undoubtedly, the first experience
of encountering professional terminology will bear fruit when studying the disciplines of the

professional block.

The logical conclusion of research work is the public defense of the obtained results. The defense of

students' research work takes place in the form of a conference, where each student is given the
opportunity to try himself in the role of an orator. Therefore, thinking over the structure of the main

part, the student must determine what method he will present the material. Here, lecture material,

which is included in the program of the taught discipline on the topic "Oratory", comes to the rescue.
We are talking about the classification of methods of presenting material in the text: inductive,

deductive, concentric, historical, stepwise and analogy method. Knowledge in this area, obtained in the

lecture, plus practical skill of application in preparing an oral presentation help students avoid

difficulties in completing the case assignment.
