INTRODUCTION
Strengthening students' speaking skills is a critical component of English language
instruction. To meet this need, educators continuously develop new methods to improve
communicative competence among English learners. Numerous international studies

Scholars such as Choirunnisa and Sari (2021), Hamza (2019), Izzah et al. (2020),

skills. Their findings suggest that TED Talks serve as an authentic resource in English
language education, particularly in teaching pronunciation and effective public speaking.
Traditional language teaching methods often prioritize memorization of grammar and
vocabulary, which can impede students' ability to communicate effectively in real-world
contexts. One of the challenges in teaching speaking skills is helping students overcome
language anxiety, which is crucial for fostering confident English communication.

for sharing ideas globally, have gained widespread recognition for their educational
content. Broadcast primarily on YouTube, TED Talks provide an engaging and practical
way for learners to observe and practice essential speaking techniques. In a typical TED
Talk, speakers establish an emotional connection with the audience (Aravind &
Rajasekaran, 2019), inspiring listeners while presenting ideas and activities worth
spreading.
For English as a foreign language (EFL) learners, platforms like TED Talks offer a
valuable opportunity to learn the structure of the language, refine their accents, and
