TEACHING THE UZBEK LANGUAGE IN PRIMARY GRADES

Abstract
: This article discusses the methodology of teaching the mother tongue. The main
methods used in the teaching process, didactic methods and innovative technologies are discussed.
Methods aimed at developing students' speaking skills, explaining language rules and
communicating are considered in detail. The role of the teacher and the importance of practical
training in the process of teaching the mother tongue are emphasized. This article provides
practical recommendations aimed at using effective methods in teaching the mother tongue.

Based on the educational and educational tasks set before the school, the
methodology determines the tasks and content of teaching the mother tongue,
examines the process of education, determines the laws of this process and the
scientifically based system of teaching methods. The following main methods can be
used in the process of teaching the mother tongue:
Phonetics method: aimed at teaching students the pronunciation of the language,
explaining sounds and their combinations. Students practice the correct pronunciation
of sounds and their combinations through fun games and exercises.
Grammatical-methodical method: Using this method, students learn the
grammatical rules of the language. It serves to develop vocabulary, sentence structure
and analysis skills. Teachers explain grammar rules by engaging students with
examples from real life.
Communication methods: Encourages students to communicate with each other,
have conversations, express their thoughts freely. Through communication methods,
students develop speech in various situations through role-playing games.
Teaching and learning method: This method aims to teach students reading,
writing, listening and speaking activities. It combines all language activities. During
the learning process, students interact with each other through interactive activities
that enhance their skills.
In teaching the mother tongue, it is important to pay attention to the following
components:
Listening: Students develop the skills to correctly perceive sounds, sentences,
and speech.

Reading: Ensures that students quickly learn reading skills, text comprehension
and analysis skills.
Writing: Facilitates the development of written communication, learning to
express thoughts and form sentences in writing.
Speech: This part aims to teach students to develop oral speech, express their
thoughts and participate in conversations.
Didactic methods are also important in teaching the mother tongue. Didactic
methods ensure the active participation of students in the process of teaching their
native language and make their learning process interesting. Teachers can combine
these methods in their lessons and make the educational process more effective and
efficient. They are as follows:
Explanation: The role of the teacher is very important in explaining the new
topic to the students in detail. In this process, the teacher explains the topic logically
and gives examples to facilitate understanding. The use of diagrams, tables and other
visual materials in the explanation process improves the students' understanding and
makes the subject interesting.
Practical exercises: Providing students with various practical tasks will help
them apply their theoretical knowledge in practice. For example, practical exercises
in reading, writing, listening and speaking activities and hakazos. Simulating real-life
situations helps students develop their skills. For example, situations such as
shopping in a store, holding a meeting.
Teaching through games: The methodology of teaching through games engages
the students and increases their interest in the lessons. Games often foster competitive
spirit and develop teamwork skills. Through games, students develop their language
skills and are encouraged to communicate with each other and express their thoughts.
Nowadays, the use of innovative technologies in teaching the mother tongue is
important. This includes educational programs, multimedia resources, Internet
platforms and other technologies. The main goal in the method of teaching the
mother tongue is to encourage students to master the language and use it creatively.
The role of the teacher is very important in this process.
Conclusion: The method of teaching the mother tongue gives students the
opportunity not only to learn the language, but also to use it creatively. This is
important for the development of their communication skills.
