Abstract

: the article discusses the main stages of the formation and

development of modern construction.

Keywords:

development of modern construction, architecture, buildings.

In the modern world, there are many disputes about the construction of a

building. There are many theories as to why such conflicts arise. Someone thinks that
the taste of a builder or architect is outdated or, on the contrary, too avant-garde and
unacceptable to bring it to life. Someone is fighting for a place where a new building
will be erected, not wanting to lose some historical architectural monument of their
hometown. And someone, on the contrary, longs for these changes, strives for
something new, modern and not boring. Naturally, the architectural aspect of this
issue is very important and is the initial one, because initially we see the project of
the building, its future appearance.

Architects of all times have tried to build something original, beautiful, but at

the same time convenient and concise. And the most important snag in the
implementation of their idea was the lack of necessary equipment and materials.
Fortunately, the technological progress of mankind does not stand still and
contributes quite strongly to the development of modern construction [1, 2]. Due to
this, in our time, it is absolutely realistic to create a project and bring to life the most
comfortable conditions for most people.

Compared to the buildings of the twentieth century, the buildings built in recent

years look different, and were erected using completely new technologies and
materials (for example, the "pendulum" technology, which was used in the
construction of a skyscraper located in Taipei– the capital of the Republic of China).
As for materials, glass, steel, aluminum, and concrete are now widely used.

Thanks to such new technologies, buildings look completely different, beautiful

and restrained. And in terms of convenience, they become much higher, they do not
have a huge number of load-bearing walls, which contributes to a much greater
quality of used space and the possibility of any free layout.

Also, the development of construction did not stop only at the stage of

construction of new buildings. At the same time, its stages are reconstructions,
repairs, and a kind of "rejuvenation" of historically important structures. After all, the
reconstruction or repair of a building is not just the process of repainting the walls in
a fresher color. This is a complete restoration of the idea and purpose of building a

particular building. And again, this stage, as well as the stage of construction, is
helped by technological progress. For example, if a broken stucco needs to be
restored on a building, it takes only a day, not weeks or even months, as was done in
previous centuries. At the same time, the stucco will become stronger, clearer and
will have a better elaboration of all the necessary details, it will become easier and
will not at all yield to the appearance of the previous one, but on the contrary, will
surpass it.

There is also such a stage of construction as the destruction of buildings. It also

entails a whole series of consistent, well-thought-out actions, as well as the
construction of a new building. Now it's not enough to just fence off a building and
break it down, because some of them even need an explosion. In this regard, the
destruction process is also keeping pace with technological progress.

Also, construction has reached a new level, actively using data on various

earthquakes or other natural influences. The foundation has become stronger and
more precise, which makes it possible to build it on various terrains of the earth. And
thanks to this, the shrinkage time of the building has been much reduced.

All stages of construction develop annually and do not stand still. Nowadays, it

has become possible to think through almost everything in buildings, down to the
smallest detail. It takes much less time to create projects and bring them to life, and
accordingly cities and countries are developing with great speed in their appearance.
The number of residential, working and entertainment areas is growing. The most
daring projects are being implemented. And the life of the city and the whole country
is moving to a new, modern level. Conflicts over the appearance of structures are
gradually disappearing, because they bring maximum comfort and convenience to all
mankind..
