METHODS OF USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE STUDY OF
ENGLISH ROMANTICISM.

Annotation.
The article examines how artificial intelligence technologies can
be used in the study of English Romanticism. English Romanticism is an important
period of literature of the 18th and 19th centuries, which presents ideas such as nature,
the human psyche, fantasy, and freedom. Artificial intelligence, in particular, through
the use of natural language processing, data analysis, and generative models, helps to
automate the analysis of romantic works, create new literary works, and gain a deeper
understanding of the historical context. The article highlights the possibilities of using
AI for methodological and semantic analysis of texts, creating advanced search
systems in literary studies, and identifying literary motifs of the Romantic period.

романтизма. Английский романтизм — важный период литературы XVIII и XIX
веков, в котором представлены такие идеи, как природа, человеческая психика,
фантазия и свобода. Искусственный интеллект, в частности, посредством
использования обработки естественного языка, анализа данных и генеративных
моделей, помогает автоматизировать анализ романтических произведений,
создавать новые литературные произведения и глубже понимать исторический
контекст. В статье освещаются возможности использования ИИ для
методологического и семантического анализа текстов, создания расширенных

поисковых систем в литературоведении и выявления литературных мотивов
романтического периода.

AI technologies also provide students with a more effective and expanded
process of studying English Romanticism by providing interactive learning and unique
recommendations. This article helps to understand the importance of artificial
intelligence in the study of English Romanticism and introduces new approaches and
methods in this area.
English Romanticism is a literary movement that emerged in England in the
18th and first half of the 19th centuries, mainly promoting themes such as natural
beauty, fantasy, the inner world of man and his connection with nature. The great
writers of this period, such as William Wordsworth, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, John
Keats, Percy Bysshe Shelley and Lord Byron, laid the foundations of English literature.
The study of English Romanticism requires new approaches and methods in many
fields, especially in literary studies.
Today, the capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI), especially natural
language processing (NLP), data analysis and machine learning technologies, are
becoming important tools in the study of English Romanticism. Below is a detailed
explanation of how artificial intelligence can be used in the study of English
Romanticism.
Automatic Text Analysis and Interpretationю Artificial intelligence, in
particular natural language processing (NLP) technologies, can help automate the
analysis of works related to English Romanticism. For example, SI algorithms can be

used to analyze poems such as Wordsworth's "Lines Composed a Few Miles Above
Tintern Abbey". This analysis can be useful in the following aspects:
Language and style analysis: SI algorithms study poems from a stylistic
perspective, including word use, phraseological expressions, rhetorical devices, and
form (metaphor, symbolism, alliteration).
Emotional tone and semantic analysis: Sentimental analysis algorithms can be
used to analyze the connection between nature and the human psyche. Positive or
melancholic moods common in Romanticism can be identified and classified using SI.
Identification of themes and motifs: SI identifies recurring themes in Romantic
works, such as elements such as nature, freedom, imagination, and the inner world of
man.
Literary Cooking and Creation. Artificial intelligence can be used to create new
works of English Romanticism or give new interpretations to existing works.
Generative Models: Using GPT or other generative models, it is possible to
create new poems or stories in the Romantic style. This artificial intelligence model
can be trained to create new literary works based on certain motifs and language
structures of Romanticism.
Creating Literature in Historical Context: By analyzing information about the
history, social and political conditions of the Romantic period, artificial intelligence
allows us to combine changing culture, philosophy and literature to create new literary
works specific to that period.
Advanced Search Technologies in Literary Studies. Artificial intelligence can
be used in the process of learning to create advanced search systems in literary studies.
Data processing: Using artificial intelligence, a collection of major works of
English Romanticism, their translations and analyses, is analyzed, which allows for a
deeper understanding of the literary period under study.
Feature-based search: Using AI, readers or searchers can search for Romantic
works based on specific motifs, poetic style, or other features. For example,
automatically finding poems describing nature and man.

performed using artificial intelligence to better understand the historical and cultural
context of the Romantic period. The advantage of this method is that.
Historical Analysis: Historical analysis can be carried out using AI to identify
the connection between the works of the greatest writers of Romanticism and the socio-
economic conditions of the time they wrote.
Literary Connections: Artificial intelligence can help identify connections
between, for example, the early representatives of Romanticism and later literary
movements (such as Victorian writers).
Analyzing Recurring Motifs and Structure in Works. There are certain
structural elements and motifs that are repeated in the Romantic period, such as:
The shift in the boundary between the real and imaginary worlds: With the help
of artificial intelligence, this part can be identified and analyzed in Romantic works.
By using this element, the reader can see the ambiguity between fantasy and the real
world in Romantic poems or works.
The relationship between nature and man: In Romanticism, the reflection of
nature and the human spirit, the synthesis and harmony between them are the main
motifs. With the help of AI, it is possible to analyze the structure of these works and
show the degree of repetition of motifs.
Interactive Learning and Student Support Tools. AI also helps students create
interactive tools for studying English Romanticism. This is mainly done in the
following forms.
Student-tailored recommendations: With the help of AI, it is possible to provide
recommendations based on the interests of students, that is, the most important works
of the Romantic period and their interpretations.
Interactive educational programs: Interactive programs based on AI allow
students to practice analyzing poetry, prose, or dramatic works.
Using the capabilities of AI in studying English Romanticism offers new
approaches and methods in literary studies. Methods such as automatic analysis of
texts, creation of new works, study of historical context, identification of motifs and

development of interactive learning systems can be implemented using AI. Artificial
intelligence accelerates and expands these processes, providing opportunities for a
deeper understanding and analysis of English Romanticism.
