Abstract: Connecting words and phrases play an important role in making the
process of communication more fluent and understandable in our language. They
ensure the integrity of the text by strengthening relationships and linking ideas
together. Therefore, connecting words and phrases are important not only in writing,
but also in speaking.
Key words: conjunction, words, phrases, thought, idea, language,
communication.
Connecting words and phrases create a logical structure of the text by linking
ideas together. For example, words such as "and", "but", "therefore", "but" take the
place of connecting between ideas. With the help of these words, we will be able to
express our thoughts more fluently. Also, linking words improve the flow of the text
and help keep the reader's attention. Connecting phrases enrich the content of the text.
For example, phrases such as "on the other hand", "however", "therefore" provide the
reader with additional information and expand the ideas further. These expressions,
in turn, increase the depth of the text and improve the reader's understanding.
Conjunctions also help to emphasize certain ideas, which increases the impact of the
text. Connecting words and phrases serve to strengthen relationships. With their help,
we are able to communicate and discuss our thoughts with others. For example, words
like "also", "but", "however" connect ideas and strengthen relationships. This, in turn,
makes the communication process more effective. Connecting words and phrases help
to organize thoughts. With their help, we will be able to express our thoughts clearly
and fluently. For example, words such as "firstly", "secondly", "finally" help organize
thoughts and help the reader understand the text better. This, in turn, improves the

"certainly", "definitely", "certainly" emphasize ideas and show their importance to the
reader. This, in turn, increases the effectiveness of the text and attracts the attention
of the reader. Connecting words and phrases enrich the structure of the text. With
