Today, international communication in English is considered very
important for education and career, so many parents and teachers involve
children in learning English from a young age. Although teaching children to
speak English takes some time and patience, this process is more effective with
the help of interesting and thoughtful approaches. Several methods have been
introduced to make learning English more convenient and effective.
1. Playing and learning through games
One of the most effective methods for children is teaching through games.
The learning process through games is more interesting and arouses interest in
a new language in children
Interesting speech games
Games like 'Simon says' or 'Guess who ' expand children's vocabulary and
help them pronounce words.
Making short stories
Simple English stories in the form of a game and making up these stories
encourages children to communicate

Children learn the language faster by using newly learned words in
everyday life, so it is recommended to use simple words and phrases regularly at
home or in the learning environment
Simple greetings and phrases
It is recommended to use phrases and words such as ‘’Good morning’’,
Hello’’, Good afternoon’’, how are you’’, Fine’’, every day.
Changing the name of objects at home, for example, ‘table’ ‘chair’ door’ bed
cupboard window, can increase children’s vocabulary
3 Using visual materials
Visual aids are very effective in learning to speak English for children
Through pictures and cards;
Colorful pictures and flashcards with English words make it easier to
memorize words.
Cartoons and videos are effective ways for children to memorize new words
by ear and master their pronunciation.
Learning with songs and poems
Songs and poems are a convenient and easy way for children to learn and
remember
Memorizing songs;
Songs like ‘’ABC songs’’ Twinkle Twinkle little star’’ are easy to memorize
Memorizing poems are short and simple poems that make it easy to
remember words and improve pronunciation.
5. Motivation and encouragement
Children need encouragement and support when learning a new language.
This gives them extra motivation every time they succeed.
Small rewards, such as a small gift or congratulations when they use a new
word or phrase correctly, serve as a source of motivation for children.
Positive attitude and support;
Remember that every small mistake is part of language learning and it is
necessary to support the process of motivating children.
Methodology for kindergarten and school children:
Children learn grammar mechanically without initially understanding it, so
at the first stage it is necessary to use interesting visual materials and games.
6. Group practice:
Children develop their speaking skills by communicating with their peers
