THE PRACTICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE “SAFETY OF LIFE ACTIVITIES IN SPORTS
EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS” MODULE IN THE DIRECTION OF IMPROVING THE
QUALIFICATIONS OF "SPORT EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS TEACHERS”

Abstract:
This article describes the practical importance of the module "Safety of Life
Activities in Sports Educational Institutions" in the direction of improving the qualifications
of "Teachers of Sports Educational Institutions".
Key words:
Sports educational institutions, educators, safety of life activities, safety measures
Relevance and necessity of the topic.
Each period has its own development factors,
needs and requirements. Therefore, it is important to create the necessary conditions for
attracting young people to sports, to ensure their safety and to effectively use all opportunities.
Great attention is being paid to the implementation of these works in the republic,
including the comprehensive program attached to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers
of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 208 dated July 19, 2011 “On preparing the population for
action in emergency situations (natural and man-made) caused by earthquakes” sets the task
of introducing the “Life Safety” (or rather “Life Activity Safety”, since activity concerns only
humans) training course at all levels of the national education system. [1,15].
It is important for the society to educate a highly moral and enlightened person who
accepts the safety of human life and his activity as a first-class task. The module "Safety of
life in sports educational institutions" in the direction of advanced training of "educators of
sports educational institutions" includes the conditions of a favorable environment for
educators of sports educational institutions in their professional activities, methods for
identifying dangerous and harmful environmental factors, methods for developing and
implementing technical and organizational measures to protect the physical culture of a
person. Also, the development of specific programs for advanced training in measures for the
safe operation of technical facilities and equipment and safety rules, including taking into
account the specifics of the professional activities of sports specialists, is an urgent problem.
Purpose of the work
– Identification of current problems in studying the practical
importance of the module "Safety of Life Activities in Sports Educational Institutions" in the
direction of improving the qualifications of "Teachers of Sports Educational Institutions".
Research methods
– analysis and generalization of existing scientific and methodical
literature, normative documents, pedagogical observation, conducting questionnaires and
interviews among leading experts in the field, studying and summarizing modern experience.
Results and discussion of the study
. As a result of the analysis of the results of the survey
and interview conducted among the leading specialists of the field in order to identify the
existing problems in the field of life activity safety, today, the following were determined
regarding the life activity safety measures in sports educational institutions:
- study of world experience and national values;

- organize regular safety trainings for educators and employees;
- identify and assess risks at sports facilities, playgrounds;
- constant presence of medical specialists to protect the lives, health and prevent injuries of
students;
- develop and implement evacuation plans to help eliminate external and internal threats in
emergency situations;
- teach the correct and safe use of sports equipment;
- constantly monitor sports fields and facilities.
The practical importance of the module "Safety of life activities in sports educational
institutions" in the direction of improving the qualifications of "Teachers of Sports
Educational Institutions" has been highlighted.
Interviews with trainees of the "Sports Education Institution Educators" training
program to study the problems of life safety in sports education institutions, as well as online
and offline questionnaires, were conducted with trainees who completed this course from
February 2024 to November 2024.
Research shows that in a survey of educators, when asked "What do you think should be
done to ensure the safety of life in a sports educational institution?", 48.8% of respondents
indicated that they would pay attention to providing regular safety talks and recommendations
for educators and staff, 15.8% to identifying hazards in sports facilities and playgrounds, and
35.4% to teaching the correct and safe use of sports equipment (Table 1).

When the respondents were asked the question "What information are you interested in
regarding the safety of life activities in sports?" 32.5% of the respondents said - protection from

injuries in their professional activities, 45.8% - methods of self-protection, and 21.7% - technical
safety (Fig. 2).

The development of the module “Life Safety in Sports Educational Institutions” includes
the following stages, namely
- hazards that may occur in our country;
- hazards, their classes, main sources;
- laws, regulatory and technical documents related to this area;
- existing and possible hazards in the means and equipment used in the dormitory;
- selection of organizational measures to eliminate or reduce the consequences of hazards;
- issues related to life safety and labor protection;
- ensuring the protection of the life and health of students;
- safety requirements and hygiene rules in the dormitories of sports educational institutions;
- knowledge of fire and technical safety rules;
- prevention of hazards that may occur in sports educational institutions;
- ensuring the safety of students in case of emergency situations;
- implementation of organizational measures aimed at eliminating risks or reducing their
consequences;
- safety requirements and hygiene rules in dormitories of sports educational institutions;
- compliance with technical and fire safety rules in dormitories and ensuring the protection
of the life and health of students;
- aimed at improving knowledge, skills and competencies in the use of knowledge, skills
and qualifications in professional activities by students during the development of advanced
training courses.

Based on the above objectives, it is considered appropriate that the content of the module
program “Life safety in sports educational institutions” cover the following topics:
- Regulatory and legal bases for ensuring life safety.
- Types of emergency situations and their classification
- Rules for using dormitories in sports educational institutions
As a conclusion, it can be noted that the module "Safety of life activities in sports
educational institutions" in the direction of training "Teachers of sports educational institutions"
is closely related to physical education and sports, and also determines the need to constantly
improve and update the content of the topics selected in the program.
