Abstract

In this article, effective methods of educating students in the spirit of patriotism are analyzed based on a systematic approach. It is known that patriotic education in educational institutions is aimed not only at the physical and moral formation of young people, but also at instilling in them a sense of responsibility towards the national idea, human rights and historical memory. The article examines the possibilities of forming a sense of nationalism and patriotism in young people through the formation of a vertical model and the introduction of a systematic approach in the educational process. Also, issues of improvement of the education system, implementation of modern methods and practical ways of education based on the Presidential decrees (PK-393 and PK-270) are covered.

PATRIOTISM: A SYSTEMATIC APPROACH AND THE FORMATION OF A

VERTICAL MODEL

Abstract:

In this article, effective methods of educating students in the spirit of patriotism are

analyzed based on a systematic approach. It is known that patriotic education in educational

institutions is aimed not only at the physical and moral formation of young people, but also at

instilling in them a sense of responsibility towards the national idea, human rights and

historical memory. The article examines the possibilities of forming a sense of nationalism

and patriotism in young people through the formation of a vertical model and the introduction

of a systematic approach in the educational process. Also, issues of improvement of the

education system, implementation of modern methods and practical ways of education based

on the Presidential decrees (PK-393 and PK-270) are covered.

The future of the nation depends, first of all, on its youth. One of the important tasks

for the sustainable development of society is to educate the younger generation in the spirit of

patriotism. The long historical path of the Uzbek people, its rich culture and national values,

demonstrate the need for each person to love their homeland and contribute to its

development. This, in turn, requires educating young people in the spirit of national ideas,

love and loyalty to the Motherland. Therefore, the formation and development of patriotic

education in the education system has been an important task at all times.

Today, reforms in the field of education and directions aimed at conveying the

national idea to young people are gaining greater importance. Based on the new resolutions

of the Uzbek President, practical measures are being implemented to improve education,

modernize the education system, and form the spiritual and moral values ​ ​ of students.

Among these measures, attention is paid to the formation of a vertical model and a systemic

approach. This article analyzes the theoretical and practical aspects of these areas.

In the process of effective methods of educating students in the spirit of patriotism,

improving the system of pre-conscription training is of great importance. Based on the

presidential resolution (PK-393), modern methodologies and new teaching aids have been

introduced into the process of initial pre-conscription training in educational institutions.

According to the resolution, the initial stage of military training does not consist only of

theoretical knowledge, but is aimed at instilling in our youth a sense of service to the

Motherland through practical exercises, various sports competitions and practical work in the

military field.

In addition, the large-scale work being carried out in this system to improve the

qualifications of teachers, retrain them based on new requirements and adapt them to the

needs of society, is currently serving to strengthen the spirit of patriotism among young

people.

According to the annexes to the resolution, the official approval of the activities of the

Military and Civil Service Commission and its introduction into educational programs are

aimed at forming the knowledge and skills necessary for our youth in theoretical and

practical terms. In this regard, the issues of holding military-historical, military-sports events

in educational institutions, increasing the social activity of young people, and forming respect

for the national idea and historical memory in them are important.

Perpetuation of the memory of victims of political repression and study of their lives

and activities among young people is one of the important tasks. Based on the Presidential

Decree (PK-270), work aimed at restoring historical justice, conveying national values

​ ​ to young people, and perpetuating the memory of victims of political repression has

been further expanded. These measures will allow our young people to study the lives and

activities of Uzbek youth who fought against fascism, showed fighting spirit and selflessness

for national freedom.

Special roundtables and events on national history, historical figures and their services

are being organized in educational institutions. This will strongly stimulate the desire of

young people for the national ideal and contribute to its development.

The formation of a vertical model ensures the stable and coherent functioning of the

education system. The coherence and formation of patriotic education at all stages of

education should be carried out at every level, from school to higher education. It is

necessary to develop the national idea and a sense of respect for the Motherland in

schoolchildren, and in higher educational institutions, this idea should be directed towards the

pursuit of all-round development through scientific research and modern technologies.

The vertical model also involves strengthening close cooperation between educational

institutions, families and public organizations, and implementing education and upbringing

not only within the school itself, but also through all layers of society.

Conclusion

Effective methods of educating students in the spirit of patriotism are an important

means of ensuring the spiritual and moral development of our youth in society. At each stage

of the education system, the development of patriotism, national ideas, respect for historical

memory, and the assimilation of national values ​ ​ serve as an important factor in the

spiritual renewal of youth. This article analyzes effective ways of educating students in the

spirit of patriotism in educational institutions based on a systematic approach and a vertical

model.

Presidential resolutions such as PK-393 and PK-270 are of great importance in

instilling a sense of patriotism in the younger generation in the country, directing them to

respect national values ​ ​ and historical memory. These resolutions set out practical

measures aimed at improving the education system and increasing the spiritual and moral

potential of students. Improving the system of primary training before conscription,

introducing patriotic education in educational institutions, and ensuring the physical and

spiritual preparation of young people serve to form civic responsibility, loyalty to the

homeland, and the idea of ​ ​ national youth.

Based on the presidential decree (PK-393), great attention is paid to strengthening

military and sports training based on national values ​ ​ in educational institutions, and to

the formation of physical health and spiritual feelings among young people. Thus, reforms

aimed at educating students in the spirit of patriotism are being systematically implemented.

The importance of the vertical model in the implementation of patriotic education is

that at all stages of education (from primary to higher education), the foundations of

patriotism are taught step by step, and efforts are made to strengthen the sense of citizenship

in our youth. Also, by strengthening cooperation between schools, higher education

institutions and society, and ensuring integration between all sectors of education, it is

possible to more effectively support the spiritual and moral development of youth. Today, the

policy implemented by the state and society in order to form a national idea, patriotism, and

respect for historical memory among young people, with its practical and theoretical

foundations, serves as an important factor in strengthening the desire of young people for

independence, national and universal values. In this process, in all forms and sectors of

education, every teacher and educational institution must make its contribution.
