ABSTRACT
This article is about the plot of a detective story. The events of the story are analyzed. During the analysis, conclusions
are drawn regarding the uniqueness of the plot of the detective story.

INTRODUCTION
The works written in the direction of the detective are
clearly distinguished from the works written in other
directions by their mystery, the complexity of the flow
of events, and having a unique solution. In the works
of this direction, depending on the seriousness or
lightness of the crime case, an event related to
criminals, by experts (law defenders, enthusiasts, etc.),
known persons involved (and not) in the incident.

Azamat Qorjovov is one of the young writers known
among Uzbek readers with his many detective works.
His story "Statue in the Old House" is also unique in
that it is based on life events and the development of
artistic fabric in the course of these life events. As in
other detective stories, this story has a murder plot.

one, and the crime knot is solved in the solution of the
work. Along the way of the plot to the solution, the
reader experiences interest, surprise, excitement, and
amazement one after the other.
Even in the detective stories, more or less the language
of the characters is the philosophy of life, wise
thoughts based on the character's life experience. For
example, "The husband is the sculptor of his wife." This
sentence sounds like a conclusion arising from the
general content of the story, but in most cases,
conclusions are made at the end of the events. The
above-mentioned statement was made at the
beginning of the story's flow of events. In the process
of reading the story, the reader wonders whether
these events happened in the recent past or in the
present day. And the development of events makes it
clear. In the short story, there are some chronological
and some retrospective plot elements.
In detective stories, the main factors that lead to the
knot are reasons such as love, wealth, enmity,
desperation, and the struggle for a position or career.
In the story we're talking about, "The Statue in the Old
House," a case committed years ago out of
desperation turns out to be intricately connected to
murder years later. The events of the story related to
the student's butchery and, as a result, accepting a
mysterious order in desperation, increase the hidden,
mysterious tone of the work. The development of
events, a consistent sequence, creates plot tension.
There are not many characters in the story. The main
character, brother Nazar, and the young journalist who
helps him out of the tangled situation, lead the events.
The story avoids various images and detailed
classifications. The flow of events, twists and turns give
the impression of being hidden in artistic details. For
example, the first part of the story is called "The Statue
in the Old House" in the same way as the title of the
story. There are links in the work that connect the story
that is being told and the story that will be told now.
One of them is the diary of the main character, Nazar,
in order to find the factors that caused the incident
that happened at that moment in his life. Using the
retrospective plot type, point B is returned to point A
by this route. " Nazar had a lot of nonsense in his
notebook. Without saying how much it was cut, I will
present the necessary sentences with a little editing.

nd the second part, called "The Pains
of a Thrice Married Man" begins. It describes the case
of the main character, Nazar, who committed suicide
as a student out of desperation, and the murder that

linked to this case.
The complexity of the plot of the story in this form
becomes apparent to the reader from time to time.

One such mood-changing factor in the plot of the story
is related to the details used in the work. The details
presented in this story have an artistic function in one
form or another. For example, Nazar brother's diary.
Reading the events written in the diary, it is a natural
process for the heroes of the work, as well as the
readers, to learn about the events that took place in
recent and distant years. There is a practice of using
this method in works created in different genres of
world and Uzbek literature. But it seems that the
author did not want to creatively use samples prepared
in this way. The use of daily details in the detective
story did not bring the intended result due to various
small confusions, changes in time and space, and
violations of a partial nature. "The plot can have a
portrait, a landscape, details, sometimes there are
sudden turns... By plot, we understand the event and
the character.
The plot does not lack spirituality, emotion, or
thinking." In the detective story "The Statue in the Old
House" that we are talking about, there is an event and
action, but we can see that the place of spirit, emotions
and thinking is not filled in some places, and in some
places it is not visible at all. Even so, it is appropriate to
mention the peculiarities of the plot of the story.
Among these, we can see the lack of monologues, the
author's speech, images and descriptions, and the
events are presented in the language of images in a
compact and concise way. In the work, it is possible to
see the revelation of the concepts of cause and effect
by turning the events to another self or through this
turning. "Because brother Nazar's brain is still busy
with bigamy. He measures the realities of the world
with the polygamy at the core of his brain. I like people
who say things like, "If the wife turns out to be unfit,
marry someone else," "A man should actually take two
wives," and "Religion allows up to four wives."
"Izquvar" who started to unravel the knot of the
murder, understands that the main reason for this
murder is the large number of wives. And it looks at this
thing as the tip of the iceberg. The invisible collision
between co-workers, the relations of co-workers with
each other, the attitude of the children from the first
wife to co-workers, and the relationship with their
father are all examined in detail.
The need, more precisely, the need to find out who the
murderer is, requires attention even to the events of
twenty, twenty-five years ago, to the small details
related to these events. They manage to clarify a lot of
things by rummaging through the chest of memories,
as it seems to be ineffective. Such attempts serve as a
stepping stone to uncovering a mysterious story. "On
the night of Zarina's death, traces of an unknown
young man were found in the yard. I have an option,
brother Nazar. You promised not to be offended, now

be read quickly and have more readers than works of
other genres. There are several reasons for this. For
example, let's pay attention to a passage copied from

Traveling a long distance to get a small message from
this familiar person. After the same conversation, as if
the murder is revealed, the reader rushes to get to
know the details of the events as soon as possible,
which shows that the writer skillfully used the details
of the photo. But as a way of keeping the reader's
attention, we see it connect to a new detail before it
gets stuck in the series of previous events. "I have
doubts about one more thing you said, brother Nazar.
You have divided the suspects into two groups. They
know that you slaughtered a cow in a secret courtyard
when you were a student, and they don't know about
it at all. A person who does not know about your past
will not really come to the yard where Zarina lives, kill
him and take a picture." There are also characters who
make a radical turn in the plot of the work. Such images
are not visible from the head. This does not occur to
the reader even when he guesses the murderers, but
the discovery of the crime surprises the reader.
If we pay attention to the peculiarities of the plot of the
detective story "The statue in the old house", it gives
the impression that a knot, one of the elements of the
plot, will be untied as soon as the story about a
character ends, but as soon as it ends, new details will
emerge. But the main general solution is reached with
the help of conclusions drawn from each detail. After
