Abstract:
This article explores the role of fairy tales in imparting educational and moral lessons. In particular, it
emphasizes the harmony between a character’s inner world and outer appearance, which contributes to their
personal development and moral transformation. Through fairy tales, young generations are taught values such
as kindness, honesty, love, and righteousness, while also learning the importance of the alignment between inner
qualities and external looks. Examples from fairy tales highlight the educational significance of this concept.
Keywords:
Educational lessons, inner world, outer appearance, moral values, personal development, youth
education.
Introduction:
Historically, fairy tales are considered
one of the oldest and most powerful educational tools
of mankind. They encourage the development of
spiritual values, moral qualities and correct behavior in
young people. Fairy tales mainly emphasize the
harmony of the inner world and the external world, and
show the personal changes of the characters. In this,
the younger generation is given important lessons on
how to be a good person, not to stray from the right
path and to grow morally.
Teaching educational lessons through characters in
fairy tales is a useful way to teach children and young
people important moral and spiritual values. In each
fairy tale, educational lessons are given through the
unique characteristics and actions of the characters.
These lessons often include values such as black and
white, right and wrong, good and evil, self-control,
honesty, integrity, hard work, sincerity, courage, and
justice. For example, in some fairy tales, the heroes
show their courage and loyalty, fight against evil, and
ultimately succeed. In other fairy tales, the hero solves
problems and achieves his goal through his hard work,
honesty, and patience. Through these stories, children
are taught values such as doing good, avoiding evil,
telling the truth, working hard, and constantly
improving themselves.
Also, the heroes in fairy tales often make mistakes, and
through these mistakes they learn to correct their
mistakes, apologize, and improve themselves. This
educational process teaches children to understand
their mistakes, learn not to repeat these mistakes, and
analyze themselves.
Also, the educational teachings provided through fairy
tales contribute greatly to the spiritual and moral
development of children and young people. Through
the characters in fairy tales, young people learn to
make the right decisions in their lives and to respect
moral values.
Characteristics of fairy tales
: Fairy tales present
spiritual and moral lessons in an interesting and simple
way. Their main characteristics: they are usually
written in simple, understandable and open language,
aimed at a wide audience. In many cases, fairy tales
contain magic, miracles and fantastic elements, which
attract readers and help them concentrate. Fairy tales
are not only a reflected fantasy world, but also have

real educational content that leads to changes and
development.
Harmony of the inner world and the outer world
: The
theme of harmony of the inner world and the outer
world is one of the important themes in fairy tales. In
the classic French fairy tale “Beauty and the Beast” (“La
Belle et la Bête”), the appearance of the creature
reminds of fear and evil, but the goodness and love in
its inner world are later realized by the Beauty. This
work teaches the reader that appearance is temporary
and changeable, and that true beauty resides in the
qualities of the heart.
Harmony between appearance and inner world
:
Another example that shows the harmony between
appearance and inner world is the fairy tale "The Snow
Maiden". In the fairy tale, the main character - the
Snow Maiden - is an example of honesty and happiness.
The goodness in her inner world also makes her
appearance beautiful. This fairy tale encourages young
people to purify their inner world, that is, to improve
their qualities. It also teaches the importance of
harmony between the inner world and outer world.
Moral lessons through fairy tales
: Fairy tales are a
powerful tool for teaching moral lessons, in which
moral qualities and correct behavior can be learned
through the characters. For example, in the classic
English fairy tale "Beauty and the Beast", the evil
character begins to change in his inner world, and this
change also changes his appearance. Through fairy
tales, young people are taught to appreciate good over
evil, to develop patience, honesty and love.
The role of fairy tales in educating young people
: The
role of fairy tales in educating young people is very
great. Fairy tales, first of all, teach children moral
values, to distinguish between right and wrong, good
and evil. By reading fairy tales, young people
understand the harmony between the inner world and
the external world. This teaches them to appreciate
true beauty, love, honesty and truth. They expand the
imagination of young people and show how to act in
different situations in life. The educational properties
of fairy tales prepare young people to make the right
behavior and moral decisions. In fairy tales, heroes
achieve success through their hard work, courage,
loyalty and compassion, thereby teaching children and
young people important qualities such as hard work,
friendship and honesty.
Fairy tales also help not only with moral education, but
also with children's success in school, developing social
skills and broadening their worldview. Through the
storytelling style of fairy tales, the events and
characters in them, young people learn to look at life
positively and understand how they behave in different
situations. Therefore, fairy tales are an effective tool
not only in the educational process, but also in raising
young people.
CONCLUSION
Educational lessons given through fairy tales help
young people develop morally and spiritually. Fairy
tales encourage them to understand the harmony
between the inner world and the outer world, to
appreciate goodness, and to realize their true beauty.
Fairy tales call not only young people, but all people to
live on the basis of such human qualities as kindness,
loyalty, and honesty. Teaching educational lessons
through heroes in fairy tales, especially the issue of the
harmony of the inner world and the outer world, shows
that the true beauty and dignity of a person depend not
only on their appearance, but also on their inner world.
Fairy tale heroes often achieve their goals through their
inner qualities, regardless of their appearance. Through
this, the younger generation is taught lessons about the
true beauty of a person, spiritual elevation, and the
importance of self-development. Thus, with the help
of fairy tales, attention is paid to the harmony between
the inner and outer world, encouraging each person to
develop his inner world and moral qualities.
The article shows the importance of teaching
educational lessons through heroes in fairy tales and
their role in educational processes. Fairy tales not only
create an interesting and unique world for children, but
also have a great impact on their moral and spiritual
development. Heroes form moral standards and
common sense in children through the harmony
between the inner world and the outer appearance.
The harmony of the inner world of heroes, that is, their
character, feelings, values and goals, with their
appearance is one of the main principles of the
educational process. If the inner world of the hero is in
harmony with his appearance, this will be a good
example for children on how to behave in life and
choose the right moral paths. On the contrary, the
imbalance between the inner world and the outer
world, that is, the glorification of the bad behavior and
appearance of the characters, can arouse negative
perceptions in children.
The differences between male and female characters
and the conflicting situations between them are also
used to effectively convey educational lessons. In fairy
tales, the contrast between the characters and their
transformation processes (for example, the villain does
good deeds) help children understand the differences
between right and wrong behavior. Thus, fairy tales, in
particular, through their characters, serve as an
effective tool for teaching children values such as
morality, upbringing, responsibility, honesty and hard

work.
In conclusion, it can be said that fairy tales teach
children educational lessons, the harmony between the
inner world and the appearance of the characters is
manifested. This helps children understand moral
concepts and choose their own path in life. Through the
transformations and contradictions of fairy tale
characters, a useful and interesting way of teaching
children is created, which helps their personal
development.
