"Thoughts" and "Shalola". She was awarded the
Jawaharlal Nehru International Prize for her poems on
the theme of India, and the international "Nilufar"
Prize for her works glorifying peace and friendship and
her active participation in the movement of
progressive Asian and African writers. Zulfiya devoted
a significant part of her life to the study and publication
of the literary heritage of Hamid Olimjon. As an integral
part of this process, she wrote the play "Semurg" for
the puppet theater (in collaboration with S. Somova)
and the libretto for the opera "Zaynab and Amon"
based on the poet's epic poem "Semurg or Parizod and
Bunyod".The poet Zulfiya, who lived an exemplary life
and engaged in extensive social activities during the
years of independence, was highly respected and
honored for her unique talent, love for the
Motherland, noble human qualities, and services to
raising the spirituality of our people. The government
of Uzbekistan, taking into account the great services of
the outstanding poetess to the development of our
culture, established the State Prize named after Zulfiya
in 1999. The poetess's husband: Hamid Olimjon (Hamid
Olimjonovich Azimov) December 12, 1909, Jizzakh - July
3, 1944, Tashkent; reburied at the "Forobiy" cemetery -
Uzbek poet, literary critic and public figure. She made
a worthy contribution to 20th-century Uzbek literature
with her lyric poems. In the 30s, she was known as a
singer of joy and happiness. Corresponding member of
the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan 1943.
After primary education, in the late 1920s, he studied at
a school in Samarkand from 1923 to 1928, at the Faculty
of Social and Economic Sciences of the Pedagogical
Academy from 1928 to 1931, and at the same time
worked as a department head at the "Zarafshon"
newspaper from 1926 to 1927. He worked as a secretary
at the "Yoshlar" newspaper from 1931, as a senior
researcher at the Scientific Research Institute of

researcher at the Institute of Language and Literature
from 1934 to 1937, and as a department head at the
Publishing House of Educational and Pedagogical
Education from 1938 to 1939, as a secretary at the
Writers' Union of Uzbekistan from 1939 to 1944. Hamid
Olimjon died at the age of 35 in a car accident. One of
the stations of the Tashkent metro, the Writers' House
of the Writers' Union, and the regional theater in
Samarkand are named after Hamid Olimjon. A
monument to him was erected in the square named
after the poet in Tashkent in 1990. A neighborhood
near this area is also named after the writer. Hamid
Olimjon and Zulfiyakhanim had a daughter, Khullar
Olimjonova, in 1937. Khullar Olimjonova describes her
life as follows: "Despite the difficult years, I grew up
surrounded by the love of my grandparents, father,
mother, and relatives. Even when I graduated from
school, under the influence of this environment (I also
had dreams of becoming a geologist, lawyer, or
journalist), my interest in literature prevailed.

In 1954, I entered the philological faculty of Moscow
State University. But in the fourth year, I returned to
Tashkent and continued my studies at the faculty of
Uzbek philology at Tashkent State University. Ayam:
"To live and work in Uzbekistan, you need to learn the
Uzbek language and our literature.""There are many
specialists in Russian literature throughout the Union,"
he said. I returned... It seems to me that at that time
there were many strong, wonderful scientists and
teachers working in the Department of Literature. I
listened to lectures by famous scientists, studied the
language with their advice, and was formed under the
guidance of demanding teachers. I am proud that my
diploma thesis was supervised by the esteemed Ozod
Sharafuddinov, and my candidate dissertation at the
Academy of Sciences was supervised by Academician I.
O. Sultanov. When I think about it, I have worked side
by side with Hamid Sulaymon, Gulom Karimov,
Matyokub Qoshjonov, and many more scientists, each
of whom was a pillar of enlightenment and science.
There is a saying among our people that "a tree grows
in one place." From 1957 to 1996, my life, work,
thoughts, teachers and friends were all connected with
Tashkent State University - the National University of
Uzbekistan. I was a teacher at the faculties of Uzbek
and Russian philology, journalism, and oriental studies,
participated in the scientific council and public affairs.
Now, among those who address me as "domla" -
among those who serve in the field of our spirituality
and culture, there are scientists, poets, writers, and
journalists."

Omonbek
Toshmuhamedov was briefly described by her
daughter Khullar Olimjonova as follows: My life partner
Omonbek Toshmuhamedov (1932 - 2001) was a
historian, a good teacher, a modest person, his entire
career was connected with the National University of
Uzbekistan. I learned a lot from him. My four children
and six grandchildren are "a gift from fate". Zulfiya
Abdulla Oripov's Confession: A wonderful poetess.
First of all, I sincerely congratulate our esteemed sister
Zulfiya, along with all the great and small writers. When
we say Zulfiya, a meadow adorned with various flowers
immediately appears before our eyes. This flowerbed
is interspersed with the fragrant aromas of beautiful
poetry. In the list of virtues, Zulfiya's poetic talent
stands out, this talent is the highest sign that has made
our poet's name known to the world. In her interviews
and articles, Zulfiya often says with beautiful regret
that she behaved very modestly and did little creative
work. These words were truly said out of humility and
sincerity. But we all know that it is not about quantity.
The weight of Zulfiya's poetry is determined by the fact
that she was able to remain true to the qualities of true
poetry even in very difficult years.
For example, in the years when tones similar to
schematism were rampant in literature, Zulfiya's
painful poems dedicated to the memory of Hamid

Olimjon, imbued with deep humanity, were created.
There were also critics who looked at these poems
with a little skepticism at the time. Perhaps it is natural
that such situations occurred in those years. But the era
and the development of literature led our poetry to a
glorious path - to the path of poetic series that adorn
Zulfiya's work. In the poems created by Zulfiya in
recent years, philosophical nature is becoming
increasingly profound. Such qualities are unique
elements that ensure the immortality of poetry. When
we went on creative journeys, during literary
conversations in fraternal countries, the most famous
poets of the world asked us about our Zulfiya, asked to
convey their sincere greetings to her, you are proud to
be a compatriot with such a wonderful person as
Zulfiya.
NIGHT
The day has passed behind the mountain,
A clear, cool night has quietly set in…
I opened the window and saw a meadow,
Sleepy sleeps in the blanket of night.
Soft songs arc everywhere,
The wind that has passed has blown.
Water flows all night long,
Everyone sleeps, I am awake at home,
A piece of paper, a small pen,
A lamp shines above my head.
How many thoughts, how many melodies at night,
I listen intently.
Unable to find words to express them,
I rush to find colors.
A pure wind blows…A propeller flies,
Trained by a lamp,
Its own part is struck,
And falls on my table.
I write, the stars fall,
Each one tells a tale.
Here, the Hulks sparkle before me,
A sign made of bright dawn.
Night is coming, again from the garden

The morning mist rises.
And I, slowly turning off the light,
I wait for the dawn to break.
The night has melted in my eyes,
The duration of the young day spreads...
