Abstract

The article analyzes the role of the integrated approach in the educational process, its theoretical and methodological foundations, its importance in the educational process, cases of its application in practice, as well as achievements and problems in the implementation of this approach, opportunities for its implementation in the education system and recommendations aimed at increasing its effectiveness, the formation of comprehensive knowledge through an integrated approach, interdisciplinary connections, joint teaching of pedagogical disciplines, creative thinking, integration of various disciplines, students' tendency to create new ideas, combining theoretical knowledge with real-life examples, problem-solving skills, the formation of students' ability to see the problem from all sides, the integration of disciplines, methods, technologies and pedagogical methods in the educational process, student-oriented education, organization of the educational process based on the interests and needs of students, the use of innovative pedagogical technologies, the use of modern information and communication technologies and pedagogical methods, monitoring and evaluation of the educational process, and assessing the effectiveness of the educational process.

Development of The Educational Process Based on A
Collective Approach

INTRODUCTION

World experience shows the effectiveness of integrated
and complex approaches in the development of the
educational system. The improvement of the educational
process can be achieved, especially, through the
multidisciplinary approach, the harmony of theory and
practice, and the wide use of information and
communication technologies. An integrated approach
covers the educational content more fully, develops
students' thinking ability and ensures interdisciplinary
connection. The development of the education system is
one of the main indicators of the development of society.
In modern education, it is important to eliminate the
boundaries between disciplines, use integrated approaches
and organize the educational process in a complex manner.
The collective approach plays an important role in the

effective organization of the educational process, the
development of creative and intellectual abilities of
students, as well as the modernization of pedagogical
processes.

The collective approach, as an important factor in the
development of the educational process, has a positive
effect not only on the quality of knowledge, but also on the
personal development of students. This approach plays a
crucial role in improving the quality of human capital by
integrating education with life. Therefore, the systematic
introduction of an integrated approach to education is one
of the urgent tasks.

METHOD

process.

An integrated approach is an educational concept based on
the interconnected use of disciplines, methods, approaches
and technologies in the educational process [19]. This
approach combines the information, psychological,
methodological and technological aspects of education. In
this process, the interaction between the teacher and the
student is not limited to the transmission of information,
but is aimed at the development of independent thinking,
analysis, and creativity [5].

Integrated - this word is derived from the Arabic word
"majmu'" (collected, collected), and means "generalized",
"brought into a single whole", "complex". An approach is
a method, view, method of approaching something, a
problem, an issue, and "integrated approach" means
approaching an issue from several sides, in a complete,
comprehensive, interrelated and coordinated way [7].

An integrated approach is an approach based on the
simultaneous and interconnected use of several disciplines,
methods, technologies, and theories in solving a problem
in education, science, or other fields [18].

The following results can be achieved through an
integrated approach [10, 11]:

- interdisciplinary connection: comprehensive knowledge
is formed by teaching pedagogical disciplines together.

- creative thinking: as a result of integrating different
disciplines, students are inclined to create new ideas.

- relevance: knowledge is strengthened by combining
theoretical knowledge with real-life examples.

- problem-solving skills: A comprehensive approach
develops students' ability to see the problem from all sides.

The integrated approach is based on the integration of
disciplines, methods, technologies, and pedagogical
methods in the educational process. The main principles of
this approach are as follows [20, 21, 22]:

- student-centered education: organizing the educational
process based on the interests and needs of students.

- use of innovative pedagogical technologies: application
of modern information and communication technologies
and pedagogical methods.

- monitoring and evaluation of the educational process:

assessment and analysis of the effectiveness of the
educational process.

An integrated approach serves to increase the effectiveness
of the educational process in the following areas [12]:
development of creative and intellectual abilities: helps to
develop students' creative thinking abilities; modernization
of pedagogical processes: adapting the educational process
to

modern

requirements;

formation

of

students'

independent work skills: development of students' abilities
to work independently and solve problems; bringing the
content of education closer to life: linking the content of
education with real-life events and problems.

A number of works are being carried out in Uzbekistan to
introduce an integrated approach to the educational
process. In the continuous education system, work is being
carried out to ensure the content of subject programs, the
logical sequence and coherence of topics [17]. Innovative
pedagogy: Work is being carried out to improve the
educational process and introduce new pedagogical
technologies based on innovative pedagogy. System of
continuous professional development of educational
institution employees: Innovative approaches have been
developed to improve the skills of educational institution
employees and develop their professional potential.

The modern education system is undergoing a radical
renewal based on the rapid development of society,
scientific

and

technological

progress,

and

new

requirements emerging in the labor market [1]. In such
conditions, traditional pedagogical approaches are being
replaced by innovative, interdisciplinary and integrated
approaches. In particular, the integrated approach aims to
form students' knowledge, skills and qualifications more
deeply through the combined use of various disciplines,
methods and educational technologies in the educational
process.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONS

The integrated approach is important not only for
strengthening the knowledge system, but also for
developing in students such skills as independent thinking,
analysis, creative approach, and correct decision-making in
problem situations. This approach can be widely used at all
stages of the educational process - from preschool
education to higher education - and requires integration in
curricula, teaching processes, and assessment systems.

Global changes taking place in the world, the rapid
development of digital technologies, and the transition to a
knowledge economy pose new challenges for the education
system [9]. Today, society needs specialists with sufficient
knowledge, who can think independently, solve problems
in an interdisciplinary manner, and have a creative
approach. This further increases the relevance of
introducing an integrated approach in the educational
process.

An integrated approach is a systematic approach to
education that combines several disciplines and areas of
study, aimed at interrelated teaching and bringing the
learning process of students closer to life. In it, educational
activities are not limited to just one discipline, but rather,
are carried out through the joint integration of several
disciplines and areas of knowledge. This approach leads to
a deeper understanding of the content of education, the
development of students' abilities to solve complex
problems, critical and systematic thinking, and creativity
[15].

In addition to providing comprehensive education in the
educational process, the integrated approach also serves to
develop the student's comprehensive development and
reveal his personal potential. Through this approach, the
teacher not only achieves interdisciplinary harmonization
of curricula, but also organizes all stages of education -
planning, implementation, and evaluation - in an integrated
manner.

In the Republic of Uzbekistan, too, the modernization of
education, its adaptation to international standards, and the
introduction

of

integrated

curricula

based

on

interdisciplinary connections are opening up a wide path to
an integrated approach. Cooperation between teachers and
students, the use of active pedagogical methods, and the
effective use of information technologies in lessons are
further enlivening this process.

An integrated approach is an approach aimed at organizing
education on a complex and systematic basis, which aims
to ensure integration between various disciplines and areas
of knowledge. In this approach, the educational process is
formed on the basis of interdisciplinary relationships, that
is, information is analyzed together, explained and applied
in an interconnected manner [13].

An integrated approach: is based on the theory of
constructivism

(the

student

independently

creates

knowledge); requires a potential (competence) approach
(not only knowledge, but also practical application,
attitudes and skills are developed); implements an
interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach in the
content of education.

The scientific foundations of the integrated approach are
related to such areas as pedagogical psychology, cognitive
sciences, educational theory and methodology. In
particular:

- John Dewey's view that "education is not preparation for
life, but life itself" forms the philosophical basis of this
approach [6];

- The cognitive development theories of Jerome Bruner [5]
and Lev Vygotsky [3] formed the methodological platform
of the integrated approach;

- Bloom's taxonomy also implies stages of complexity of
knowledge and skills in an interdisciplinary approach [4];

- PBL (Project Based Learning): Project-based learning -
integration of disciplines around a real-life problem [8];

- Case-study: Interdisciplinary analysis based on real-life
examples.

- In the integrated approach, the teacher, rather than the
classical information provider [2]:

- initiator of dialogue and cooperation;

- guide and organizer of the educational process;

- acts as a methodologist responsible for creating
interdisciplinary connections.

An integrated approach serves to increase student activity
[14]:

- independent research;

- group work skills;

- development of critical and creative thinking;

- skills of working with various sources of information are
formed.

In recent years, the following measures have been

implemented in the Republic of Uzbekistan as part of
reforms in the education system [16]: interdisciplinary
programs have been introduced in higher education
institutions; state programs have been adopted for the
phased introduction of STEAM education in schools;
digitization work in the field of education, i.e. the
introduction of integrated training courses on electronic
platforms; teachers' lack of familiarity with the
methodology of the integrated approach; insufficient
material and technical base for interdisciplinary programs;
lack of cooperation between disciplines in higher
education.

CONCLUSION

The integrated approach is one of the important directions
of modernization of the content and forms of education. It
plays an important role in deepening students' knowledge,
forming interdisciplinary connections, and developing
analytical and creative abilities. The effectiveness of the
integrated approach can be increased by systematically and
gradually introducing this approach in the education
system of Uzbekistan, forming its methodological,
material and human resources. The integrated approach, as
an important factor in the development of the educational
process, is of great importance in increasing the efficiency
of the education system, developing the creative and
intellectual abilities of students, and adapting pedagogical
processes to modern requirements. The work being carried
out to introduce the integrated approach in Uzbekistan is
contributing to the development of the education system.
