Abstract:
Educational tasks aimed at developing speech competence play
a key role in the educational process. This aspect includes the ability to
adequately and effectively use language in various situations, including writing
and speaking. This topic examines a variety of tasks that help improve students'
linguistic skills, their ability to express their thoughts, argue points of view and
interact in communicative situations.

In the conditions of modern education, the issues of developing speech
skills are becoming more and more urgent and gaining priority. Speech
competence, as an integral part of linguistic literacy, has a great impact on the
intellectual and social development of a person. In this article, we will focus on
an important aspect of education - educational tasks, the purpose of which is to
develop students' speech competence. The research provides general
information about various methods and tasks that help to effectively develop
language skills, as well as their role in creating a successful communicative
environment in educational institutions. The development of speech
competence not only enriches linguistic knowledge, but also stimulates the
ability to use the language adequately and creatively in various situations,
increases the level of educational achievements and prepares students for
successful participation in modern society.
Modern education sets itself the task of developing not only a broad
outlook and knowledge, but also basic skills, including speech competence.
Speech competence as the main component of language literacy plays an
important role in the personal and professional development of a person.
Language competence is the ability to use language effectively and
appropriately in various situations. It includes not only grammatical and lexical
literacy, but also the ability to express one's opinion, argue one's point of view,
and adapt to different communicative situations. The development of speech
competence is related to the formation of critical thinking, creative abilities and
the ability to interact effectively in society. Educational tasks become a
powerful tool aimed at developing students' speech competence. They create

an opportunity to put students in different language situations that require not
only knowledge of language structures, but also the ability to use them in
practice. The main point in the selection of learning objectives is the ability to
encourage students to actively use language to achieve specific goals. [1]
Arranging discussions and debates allows students to express their
opinions, justify them, and discuss different points of view. It not only helps to
develop lexical and grammatical skills, but also teaches the ability to build
sentences logically. Projects give students the opportunity not only to practice
language skills, but also to develop research, collaboration and presentation
skills. Role-playing games create immersive language situations where students
can take on different roles, enrich their vocabulary and improve their
communication skills in different contexts. Using modern technologies,
educational tasks can be more interactive and innovative. Online platforms,
mobile applications and virtual classes create new opportunities to enter the
language environment and practice with real examples. Educational tasks
aimed at developing speech competence not only enrich students' language
skills, but also serve to form more competent and self-confident individuals.
Combining different tasks and using technology creates a versatile and effective
educational experience that fully meets the requirements of modern society. It
should be remembered that these tasks should be adapted to specific groups
and individual needs in order to maximize the development of speech
competence in each student.
Educational tasks that develop speech competence play an important role
in children's education. The development of speech competence is related to
the ability to speak correctly, clearly and expressively, as well as to understand
the speech of other people and to respond adequately to it. Speech competence
is one of the main aspects of communicative competence, so its development is
of great importance for children's successful social adaptation and learning. To
develop students' speaking competence, various educational tasks can be used
to help develop speaking, listening, understanding and perception skills. These
tasks can be aimed at developing students' oral and written language, as well as
communication skills. [2]
One of the main tasks aimed at the development of speech competence is
the development of students' vocabulary. To do this, you can use various
games, exercises and tasks that help children expand their vocabulary, teach
them to use words correctly in speech, and use them in different contexts. For
example, you can invite students to write mini-stories on a given topic using

new words learned in the textbook or in class. Another important goal is to
develop speech and expression skills. Speech exercises such as monologues,
dialogues, presentations, debates, improvisational games help students to
express their thoughts and ideas, to form their convincing and expressive skills.
Such exercises also teach children to listen to the interlocutor, respond to his
words, discuss their positions and communicate politely and constructively.
In addition, it is possible to use listening exercises that help to develop the
skills of understanding oral speech and obtaining information from oral text to
develop students' speaking competence. These exercises can be different: from
listening to audio recordings and audio books to listening to speech in various
thematic video and audio materials. It is important to discuss what you have
heard with students, ask them questions, check their understanding and help
them improve their listening skills. Thus, educational tasks aimed at developing
speech competence play an important role in children's education. They help
students to develop speaking, listening, understanding and perception skills,
which is an important basis for successful learning and social adaptation. It is
important for teachers to pay sufficient attention to the development of
students' speaking competence and to use various educational tasks that help
to form this important aspect of communicative competence. [3]
Educational tasks aimed at the development of speech competence occupy
a special place in modern educational conditions, which focus not only on
acquiring factual knowledge, but also on the formation of basic competencies.
Based on the presented analysis, it can be noted that these tasks are not only a
means of in-depth learning of the language, but also help to form a person who
can function successfully in modern society.
Discussions, project assignments, and role-playing allow students to not
only practice using language, but also develop critical thinking, creative
problem-solving, and effective communication skills. It should be noted that
educational goals should be developed taking into account the individual needs
of students, their level of language knowledge and interests. Modern
technologies introduced into the educational process expand the possibilities of
creating more interactive and effective tasks. They allow students to apply their
knowledge in real situations, which helps them learn the material more
consistently.
Thus, educational tasks aimed at the development of speech competence
are an integral part of the modern educational paradigm. These tasks play a key
role in preparing students to communicate successfully in a multilingual and

multicultural world by encouraging linguistic diversity and self-confidence. The
introduction and further development of such tasks promises deeper and better
learning aimed at the formation of stable language skills and multifaceted
intellectual development.
