Formation Of Students'
Speech Competencies
Based On The 4k Model In
Native Language Lessons
For Future Primary School
Teachers

Abstract:
This article discusses the possibility of forming
students' speech competencies through the 4K model of
a future primary school teacher. Along with this, it is
written about the influence of the formation of
leadership skills on the student's speech, the formation
of their independent opinion. The advantages of the 4K
model in the formation of students' speech
competencies are discussed. Also, methodological
instructions were given on the formation of students'
speech competencies based on the 4k model in native
language lessons for future primary school teachers.

Introduction:
After the Republic of Uzbekistan gained
independence,
the
education
system
was
fundamentally revised, and systemic reforms were
carried out in the direction of updating the content,
qualitative improvement based on a competency-based
approach. In particular, in recent years, based on the
principle put forward by the President of our country
"New Uzbekistan begins at the school doorstep," the
approach to the content, methodology, and
performance indicators of primary education has been
completely updated. In this regard, the "Concept for the
Development of Education of the Republic of
Uzbekistan until 2030," adopted on October 28, 2021,
defines the development of critical thinking, decision-
making in a problem situation, creative activity skills in

each student, and the clear expression of their opinion
in oral and written form - that is, the formation of
speech competence - as a priority goal.
In order to bring the quality of education in line with
international standards, special attention is paid to the
development of students' competencies based on
modern methodological approaches, including the 4K
model (creativity, critical thinking, communication,
collaboration). The 4K model has become an integral
part of today's global educational paradigms, serving
not only intellectual development but also ensuring
the individual's success in social and cultural activities.
Methodology. Such approaches are aimed at forming
the student not as an acquirer of knowledge, but as an
active subject capable of its constructive assimilation
and processing.
I believe that the development of creative competence
of future teachers in the learning process can be
carried out on the basis of the following three main
pedagogical mechanisms:
1.
Creative independent work - the tasks
developed by the student for native language classes
should be aimed at the student's independent
expression of thought, the creation of new forms of
speech expression. Such assignments harmoniously
shape critical thinking and a creative approach.
2.
Creative exercises - the activation of students'
thinking can be achieved by creating various types of
problem situations, didactic games, or observational
tasks within the framework of the lesson content. The
student
must
develop
these
exercises
with
methodological justification.
3.
Educational problems - through educational
tasks organized on the basis of a real-life context, the
development of students' ability to think critically and
make decisions is envisaged. In this regard, the student
is required to model lesson scenarios based on a
creative approach.
The integrated application of these mechanisms serves
the formation of the creative and methodological
potential of future teachers. The content of the
discipline "Methods of Teaching the Native Language,"
directed precisely at this aspect, is inextricably linked
with the "creativity" component of the 4K model.
In general, this diagram clearly and practically reflects
what types of activities teachers should plan in the
formation of speech competencies based on the 4K
model
(Creativity,
Criticism,
Communication,
Cooperation) in primary education.

Currently, educational and methodological complexes
(EMC) are widely used in new generation textbooks.
These complexes are built on the basis of critical
thinking, teamwork, creativity, and communication
skills (the 4C principle) and serve to increase the
effectiveness of the educational process. These
technologies play an important role in activating the
educational process, creating an interesting and
effective educational environment for students.
Educational and methodological complexes are
developed on the basis of international educational
programs - assessment systems such as PISA, PIRLS,
TIMSS, EGMA, EGRA, and use standard tasks designed
to determine students' knowledge and skills. This
complex includes:
•
Textbooks - resources that provide the main
content of education;
•
Workbooks - materials that serve to consolidate
students' knowledge in practice;
•
Methodological manuals for teachers include
guidelines for organizing lessons based on innovative
technologies.
1) Creative independent work - the activity of
students aimed at creating new ideas based on
specific tasks.
2) Creative exercises - development of creative
thinking through various didactic games, problem
situations, and experimental exercises.
3) Educational problems - the formation of students'
creative abilities through solving real-life problems..

In the process of primary education, the 4C principle
allows students to develop the ability to express their
thoughts, answer questions, work in a group, and
make independent decisions. This principle teaches
them the skills of critical thinking, searching for
creative approaches, and applying them in practice.
In
modern
society,
technological
progress,
globalization, and demographic problems are
prompting changes in the education system. In the
21st century, to be a successful person, it is not enough
to simply acquire knowledge, but social skills, critical
thinking, cooperation, and problem-solving abilities
play an important role. One of the main directions of
the
global educational
program "Sustainable
Development Goals," adopted by UNESCO, is the
formation of cognitive, socio-emotional, and
behavioral competencies.
Result and discussion. The use of the 4K model in
primary school lessons leads to the following
important results: it serves to enrich the learning
process of students, expand their knowledge and
stimulate their intellectual development, as well as the
formation of skills for accurately expressing their
thoughts through the development of speech
competencies. The organization of the educational
process based on this model increases students'
interest in learning, expands their opportunities to
form personal views, and increases the effectiveness
of information exchange.
Collaboration, which is one of the main directions of
the 4K model, activates student interaction and
ensures the development of an environment of mutual
assistance, teamwork, and cooperation. Such an
educational environment serves to acquire the
necessary knowledge for students to prepare for
independent life. In addition, it contributes to the
formation of positive relationships between groups of
different cultural and socio-economic levels, and
students develop skills in defending their personal
views and respecting the opinions of others.
Cooperation is a state in which the subjects of the
educational process work together, as a result of which
students develop a sense of mutual respect, a friendly
atmosphere, and a sense of community. As a result,
competitive, independent-thinking personnel who
meet the requirements of society for modern
education are formed, capable of understanding
problems and finding creative solutions to them,
clearly expressing their thoughts and views,
participating in collective discussions and defending
their views.
The effective use of the 4K model is significant not only
for the comprehensive development of the younger
generation, who are the owners of our future, but also
for the formation of the skills necessary for successful
adaptation to modern society.
In modern education, the formation of students' speech
competencies is necessary for the development of their
communicative abilities, the formation of logical and
creative thinking, and the acquisition of effective
communication skills in society. Today, the 4K model is
widely used in the development of speech
competencies, which is implemented in the educational
process based on the elements of creativity, critical
thinking, cooperation, and communication.
The effectiveness of the 4K model is explained by its
focus on preparing students in accordance with the
requirements of modern society. In particular, by
applying this model in the educational process, it is
possible to develop students' oral and written speech,
increase their activity in communication, and form
independent thinking and problem-solving skills. For the
effective development of these competencies, it is
necessary to work on the basis of certain approaches
and principles.
In general, the introduction of the 4K model into the
educational process provides promising results that
contribute to the formation of a holistic educational
process and the comprehensive development of
students.
The
main
scientific
and
practical
achievements obtained as a result of the application of
this model are characterized as follows:
•
Integrative development - as a result of the
educational process, formed through the organic
combination of knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values,
students demonstrate the ability to understand topics
more deeply. The personality-oriented educational
approach serves to develop their ability to apply
theoretical knowledge in real situations, solve complex
problems, and develop critical thinking skills. This allows
them to rise to a level higher than the level of
reproduction of knowledge acquired in the traditional
educational model.
•
Comprehensive skills development - an
educational environment organized on the basis of the
4K model serves the formation of high-level skills such
as communication, cooperation, critical thinking, and
problem-solving.
Students'
ability
to
solve
multidisciplinary problems, make decisions based on
different points of view, and quickly adapt has
increased. Their knowledge of analyzing specific
situations and the optimal use of available resources has
increased. This significantly increases their future level
of professional training.
•
Formation of a positive attitude - as a result of
the introduction of motivational strategies and socio-

emotional components into the educational process,
the activity of students increased, and their desire for
independent learning increased. In particular,
methods aimed at developing growth thinking,
empathy, and motivation serve the development of
students' problem tolerance, enthusiasm for
collaborative work, and the ability for self-control.
•
Strengthening moral values - as a result of
instilling such principles as social responsibility, respect
for diversity, and environmental sustainability within
the framework of the 4K model, conscientious and
morally responsible behavior has been formed in
students. Students demonstrate a desire to make
informed decisions on issues of ethics, morality, and
social responsibility, actively participate in collective
discussions, and are ready to carry out positive
transformations at the personal and social levels.
•
Increased participation in the educational
process - a significant increase in student activity and
interest in the educational process. When students
realized that their learning process is connected with
real-life problems and personal development, their
participation in lessons increased. This approach
created the possibility of storing knowledge in long-
term memory, adapting it to the context, and applying
it creatively.
CONCLUSION
Despite these results, the full integration of the 4K
model creates certain difficulties in the educational
process. In particular, traditional assessment systems
still focus more on academic outcomes and are not
sufficiently adapted to measure and evaluate skills,
attitudes, and values. This necessitates the
optimization of assessment systems by teachers, a
deeper analysis of students' thinking processes, and
the introduction of differentiated assessment
methods.
