Various theoretical approaches to the semantics of phraseological combinations

have been proposed, including decompositional theories, learn about relationship

between the literal meaning of individual words and the figurative or non-

compositional meaning phraseological combinations. The study of phraseological

combinations is an area of linguistics thatbhas gained significant attention in recent

years.Furthermore, the study of phraseological combinations is closely connected to

the field of semantics. Understanding the meaning of fixed expressions and how these

meaning arise from the combinatio of their constituent word is a central concern of

semantic theories.[1]

The theoretical and conceptual foundations of phraseologicalcombinations (also

known as idioms, collocations, and phrasemes in English linguistics are mostly have

been learned and analyzed. For example "kick the bucket"

1)according to lexical approach would focus on the fact that "kick the bucket" is

stored and retrieved as a single unit in the mental lexicon. It's not simplyba combination

of the words "kick", "the", and "bucket", but single lexical item with a specific meaning

(to die). So, that idiom is more common in informal spoken in English than formal

written English.[2]

2)The semantic analysis might explore the possibility that the "bucket "refers to

an old bucket, possibly a wooden one used to hold water for horses ,which easily

kicked.[3] There the act of kicking the bucket and causing it to spill could

metaphorically represent the sudden release of life.

3)Cognitive scientists might investigateresponse times to understand whether

processing "kick the bucket" is faster than processing each word individually ,

supporting idea of lexical unit[4] They might also investigate brain activity during

phrase comprehension to identify areas associated with metaphorical understandig.

The theoretical foundations of` the study of phraseological combinations are wide

range linguistic theories.Researchers often combine approaches to gain a more

comprehensive understanding of these fascinating and crucial aspects of language. The

field of continues to evolve, with ongoing debates about classification, analysis, and

the best models for explaining how speakers produce and understand these complex

linguistic units.[5]

The main features of phraseological combinations are complex in composition,

semantically indivisible characterized by the stability of the composition and

phraseological collocations include motivated relatively stable word groups. They have

a certain degree of stability: foe example; to take an interest, to fall in love, to look

through one's finger etc.In addition, fixed phrases with a more complex composition

are called phraseologism or phraseological combinations.[6] A phrase (phraseological

combinations) is a fixed combination of two or more words that express a figurative

meaning and have the same meaning as one word.

Pharesological combinations, which are the product of long-term development,

reflect the experience of society and pass if form one generation to another ,so they

play an important role not only as a means of communication but also as a source of

various socially significant information. Phraseological combinations in English and

Uzbek languages that are related to each other were selected as the object of research.

A.V.Kunin was one of the components of the study of phraseology not as a part

of lexicology but as a separate science. He analyzes phraseological terms of their

application in speechand divides phraseological combinations into separate groups.[7]

V.V.Vinogradov distinguishes three types, taking into account the motivation of

phraseological units. They are: phraseological compound, phraseological confusion,

phraseological integrity. Phraseological combinations can be categorized based on

their numerous characteristics . Phraseological combinations are classified into groups

based on their etimological, structural-semantic and motivational levels of meaning, as

well as the word group they represent in linguistic works. As in the English language
