BSTRACT
The article describes the knowledge of elementary school students about calligraphy, teaching letter
shapes, HARS, the rules of correct and beautiful spelling of words, the processes of writing letters, pen
holding, posture and hand movements. In the elementary grades, the idea is put forward not only to
consider learning to write as a tool for making baskets, but also to approach it as a factor of mental
improvement.

NTRODUCTION
Calligraphy is one of the fine arts. At the everyday
level, calligraphic handwriting is beautiful
handwriting with some imagination behind it.
The basis of calligraphy handwriting is font, that
is, letters written in a strictly defined manner. The
font can be taken from somewhere or invented
independently - calligraphers come up with a font
for the text so that the writing fills the text
emotionally.
When initially learning to write with a single
ruler, when there is repeated restructuring of
writing skills, stable skills begin to form more
quickly than when switching from one type of

In general, calligraphy handwriting can be very
different depending on the tasks and skills of the
writer. A "normal" calligraphy handwriting looks
like this: If you want a special handwriting, curls
are usually used, and the handwriting itself is
quite sweeping:
Causes of poor handwriting. Lack of training and
lack of time for it. If it is more detailed, beautiful
handwriting consists of three components:
development of fine motor skills of hands;
knowing which handwriting is beautiful; the
ability to produce unique beautiful letters by
hand. Note that skills are not highly correlated:
you may have excellent fine motor skills, but not
understand calligraphy and cannot write
beautifully; you can perfectly understand fonts
(and you can work as a designer), but you have
not developed fine motor skills and cannot write
beautifully (and you are graphic editors).
Also, the research conducted by A. Luria and his
colleagues showed that the articulatory
movements of the speech apparatus play an
important role in the writing process in children,
that is, motor writing skills are regulated by the
speech motor analyzer characteristic of the
second signal system. Therefore, the interaction
of speech-motor (articulation) and general motor
analyzers is of decisive importance in the
mechanism of writing.
So all three skills need to be learned. In general,
this is the work of the school, but you should
understand that only a few teachers know how to
write with calligraphic handwriting. Therefore,
you will have to spend time educating yourself or
your child.
As a result of experimental research, E. Guryanov
concluded that it is necessary to form visual and
motor control during the development of writing
skills in elementary school students, on the basis
of which children are ready and able to
independently prevent graphic errors.
The first thing you need to master to write well is
motivation. The fact is that mastering calligraphy
is a very difficult and painstaking task. You have
to fight the toughest opponent: your old habits.
And you will have to do it, sit motionless in a chair
for a long time and gradually draw beautiful
letters millimeter by millimeter. If you do not
have a clear and strong motivation, you will
always want to give up on this activity. Therefore,
set yourself a clear goal.
Your ultimate goal should always be in front of
your eyes.
And it's not just bravery: according to
psychologists' research, we tend to overestimate
the distance to the goal if we don't know exactly
where the goal is. If you are a driver, you may have
noticed this yourself: when you go to an
unfamiliar place, the road seems long to you;
when you return from this place to a certain
starting point, the path seems much shorter.
Therefore, keep the goal in mind.

be found in many materials about calligraphy, but
we recommend using it as an auxiliary measure,
not the main one. Finding mistakes in your
handwriting is definitely good, but to find
mistakes in bad handwriting, you need to write
well and you don't know how yet. Do this:
Take a simple sheet of paper with a ruler from a
school notebook (if you don't have one at hand, a
checkered one will do). Think of a phrase that will
measure your progress. It is better to use a
pangram for this - all the letters of the Uzbek
language are found in one copy. The bottom of
labor is pleasure, the world is bright for the
educated - it is dark for you. Write this phrase on
a piece of paper and look critically at what is
written.
As we mentioned above, looking for a role model
is an important part of motivation. In addition, it
is in this example that you learn calligraphy.
There is no single calligraphic handwriting in
nature, as there is no single standard in any art.
Therefore, you just choose the handwriting you
like and learn to write with it. If calligraphy
attracts you, you will learn to invent your own
handwriting over time. But it will be later - now
you need to choose the material for training.
The only point is that for them, the bending of
unused fingers becomes more important, because
unbent fingers often smear uncured ink. What to
do with your fingers - we told you above, hold a
napkin with them to learn how to bend them.
Everyone should start learning with a pencil,
children - with a thick pencil (it is easier to hold it
in the handle). You have learned a little. We
recommend that you use a fountain pen only
when you are confident in yourself.
Exercises to change handwriting. Draw letters
and numbers in the air. A simple exercise you can
do anywhere. Imitating a pencil, take a little stick
in your hand and start drawing letters in the air.
The main thing is to learn to clearly visualize
these letters. Writing with an ink pen. As we
mentioned above, this option is for advanced
users. Writing with an ink pen is a high risk, high
reward. On the one hand, letters and words come
out most beautifully when using an ink pen. On
the other hand, it is very easy to smear the ink (or
leave a blob), so you have to be very careful when
writing something with an ink pen.
Outlines of dots can be found in various children's
(and not only) coloring books. It looks like this:
There are options for children, there are options
for adults, and the second one is a little more
difficult for adults. The main task of these coloring
books is to teach a person to draw the simplest
geometric shapes. It may seem like child's play,
but we advise you to buy such coloring books
from time to time and color them - this will
significantly improve your calligraphy skills at the
beginning of training.
They help you master the basics of good writing.
As you can see, there is also a connection of
points, that is, the record is an "evolution" of the
previous exercise. It is better to buy special
notebooks with recipes, printed pictures will not
give the right effect due to the distorted scale.

Ways to teach a child to write beautifully
From the point of view of technique, there is
almost no difference - choose a simple font and
teach the child to write it. There are the
motivational issues we discussed above
–
calligraphy is generally not fun for kids.
Thus, you will have to attract the child with a
personal example.
Sample selection. To learn to write beautifully,
you need to choose a certain font and learn it. As
we said, it is recommended to print it and leave it
in a specific place, the printout will support your
motivation. Teaching the student to prepare daily
letters.
Set aside 1 hour a day for calligraphy and practice.
There is no need to start with words - you need to
master the letters first. In this:

get the letter, get the notebook on the meter,

fill the line with this letter;

capitalize the next line;
-
write uppercase and lowercase letters in the
next 2 lines;

repetition at the end of the lesson;

combining letters into words.
The next step is to combine the letters into words.
There's one problem here

calligraphic font sets
usually don't have connection methods.
Therefore, you will have to show your
imagination and independently come up with
transitions between letters. We advise you to
learn to write words when you learn to write
individual letters confidently.
Well, if you know how to write letters and
combine them into words, you have all the basic
skills, all that remains is to combine them into
automatism. It is necessary to write. There is a lot
to write. This includes rewriting your favorite
works, writing letters to other people.
About common mistakes. When learning to write,
it is very easy to find back pain, and when it
appears, nothing can be done about it. So your
condition also depends on physical fitness.
Handwriting is very complicated. First, choose a
simpler handwriting for yourself. If you choose
complex handwriting, you will have more
opportunities to leave your company before you
achieve any significant results. Remember that no
one limits you to one handwriting - when you
learn simple spelling, you can accept something
more complex.
The transition to difficult tasks happens very
quickly. The art of beautiful handwriting is
achieved through painstaking, diligent and
methodical training. Don't move on to words
without learning the letters. Not only will it be
difficult for you, but you will also start correcting
your mistakes. Spend more time on letters and
only move on to words after the letters are well
developed.
Guide questions and assignments.
There are special courses for left-handers. Yes,
you can find anything on the internet, including
good writing courses for lefties. But you generally
don't need such courses - writing for right and left
hands is very little different. The only point is that

Fine writing skills can be useful in your work
There are at least 2 professions that require this
skill: font designers and wedding/party planners
/... (the latter requires calligraphic handwriting to
fill out invitations). But in any case, if you need to
write something on paper to someone, you should
use beautiful handwriting.
Calligraphy handwriting is a form of fine art. It
takes a learner 3 to 6 months, one hour a day, to
learn to write beautifully. Reasons for bad
writing: lack of time and unwillingness of parents
/ school teachers to deal with the child.
To learn to write well, you need to have a role
model and motivation. Pay special attention to
your posture, because you may encounter
problems during training.
Curriculum: 1) choosing an example to follow; 2)
teach letters every day; 3) feeling confident - start
writing words; 4) automatism, that is,
strengthening the ability to write, write, write and
write again.
Calligraphy lessons for beginners:
In fact, calligraphy is translated from Greek as
"beautiful handwriting". The fine art of writing is
used in the work of designers, tattoo artists,
artists and can be a great hobby. In the age of
computer graphics, handwriting became relevant
and became the basis of a new trend called
"lettering".
Here it is necessary to answer the question of
what is needed for calligraphy.
A beginner calligrapher first faces the issue of
choosing tools and materials for writing. How to
choose the right paper? Which font should you
prefer? What is the difference between the
different types of feathers and holders? How to
prepare a pencil for work?
In general, the correct grip of the pencil leads to
an effective result. Calligraphy lessons can be
compared to meditation. They calm and develop
the mind, teach motor skills and perseverance,
instill aestheticism. During physical exercises, the
correct position of the div and breathing,
organization of space are important. The author
shows several exercises with recipes to teach the
smoothness of lines. In the class of a professional
calligrapher, the adjustment of the hand, the
movements of the fingers and wrist during
various movements of the artist's hand are
explained in detail. Calligraphy also serves to
develop the student's thinking. It is useful not
only for school students, but also for adults.
