ABSTRACT
In this article, the preliminary results of the republic's agriculture, forestry and fishery network at the end of 2022 are
statistically analyzed by regions and economic categories. Methodology for collecting statistical data on the
agricultural sector, developing a reliable and comprehensive national agricultural statistics system, increasing the
availability of information on trends and market prices in agriculture. Conclusions and suggestions were made
regarding increasing the scope of information on the productivity of farmers and agricultural holdings, developing the
organizational and methodological bases of agricultural monitoring.

a high potential, it has great opportunities for the
production of products necessary to meet the needs,
increase the efficiency of agricultural enterprises and
improve the standard of living of the population.
Today, 25% of the republic's gross domestic product
and more than 90% of food products are created in
agriculture, forestry and fisheries. The agricultural
sector, as one of the leading sectors of our country,
occupies an important place not only in providing the
population with food products and raw materials for
the industry, but also in the development of other
sectors of the economy.
A significant part of the total currency income of the
republic is received at the expense of the export of
agricultural products. In the future, the rise of the
processing industry based on scientific and technical
progress, advanced technologies, the growth of the
population, changes in the demand of the foreign
market, and the development of agricultural
production processes that meet environmental
requirements are an objective necessity.
The state of development of the agricultural network
is reflected in statistical data. Reflecting structural
changes in agriculture requires the formation of
reliable and fast statistical data. For this, it is necessary
to improve the methods of statistical assessment of
changes in agriculture.
ANALYSIS THEMATIC LITERATURES
In recent years, as in other sectors, several laws,
decrees and decisions concerning the agricultural
sector have been adopted, while sectoral programs
and "roadmaps" have been developed and are being
consistently implemented. In particular, in the decree
of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated
October 23, 2019 "On approval of the strategy of
agricultural development of the Republic of
Uzbekistan for 2020-2030" No. PF-5853 nine priorities
have been identified, one of which is the development
of a transparent network statistics system.
Also, the order of the President of the Republic of
Uzbekistan dated August 3,
2020 "Further improvement of the national statistical
system of the Republic of Uzbekistan and
development measures" in accordance with the
decision No. PQ-4796, The National Strategy for the
Development of Statistics of the Republic of
Uzbekistan in 2020-2025 was approved.
This decision envisages the further improvement of the
quality of statistical data, the creation of complete
databases of statistical indicators, their adaptation to
international standards, and the introduction of
modern methods of statistics in socio-economic and
demographic fields.
METHODS
Agricultural statistics are produced by the Statistical
Agency under the President of the Republic of
Uzbekistan on the basis of statistical reports of
enterprises and organizations, information of the
Ministry of Agriculture, observations of agriculture and
farms.

Since agriculture is an important sector of the
economy, there is a great need for reliable and
comprehensive national agricultural statistics.
The Statistical Agency under the President of the
Republic of Uzbekistan closely cooperates with the
Food and Agriculture Organization of the United
Nations (FAO) in preparing the country's food balance,
but the statistical data they publish is always the same.
not, which reduces the reliability of agricultural
statistics. Also, the reliability of statistical data is
questioned due to the fact that agricultural
registration is not conducted in the Republic of
Uzbekistan.
To achieve the goals in this direction, the following
tasks are defined:
- development of reliable and comprehensive national
agricultural statistics system;
- increasing the reliability and availability of agricultural
and food statistics;
- increasing the availability of information on trends
and market prices in agriculture;
- increasing the volume of information on the
productivity of farmers and peasant farms;
- to ensure the completeness of registration results, to
create the necessary infrastructure for their timely and
high-quality implementation, and to introduce new
technologies (for example, mobile devices, geo-
location information systems, etc.);
- to develop and implement a plan of measures in the
field of personnel training in order to increase the
potential and qualifications of participants in
agricultural registration.
Today, all types of agricultural holdings (farmers and
farms and other agricultural enterprises) are
submitting all types of statistical reports in electronic
form.
ANALYSIS AND RESULTS
According to preliminary data, in 2022, the total volume
of products (services) of agriculture, forestry and
fisheries amounted to 364,522.8 billion soums, or
103.6% compared to the corresponding period of the
previous year.
The increase in the volume of agricultural, forestry and
fishery products (services) is mainly explained by the
increase in the volume of production of agricultural
products.
When analyzed by economic categories, the total
volume of agricultural products is:
- the share of farmers and homesteads - 62.2%;
- share of farms - 31.4%;
- the share of agricultural organizations - was 6.4%.
When analyzing the structure of this network by
region, the highest share is in Samarkand region
(12.0%), Andijan region (10.3%), Tashkent region (9.6%),
Bukhara region (9.4%), Fergana region (9.2%) and
Kashkadarya region (9.2%). On the contrary, Syrdarya
region (3.4%), Republic of Karakalpakstan (3.9%) and
Navoi region (4.4%) are the regions with the lowest
share.

If we analyze the composition of the total agricultural
products grown in the republic by regions, the largest
share is Andijan region (12.6%), Samarkand region
(12.6%), Fergana region (10.8%), Bukhara region (9 ,6 %),
Tashkent region (9.0 %), Surkhandarya region (8.2 %)
and Namangan region (8.1 %) (Fig. 1).
Analysis of production of livestock products:
Livestock products mean the value of products
obtained as a result of raising agricultural animals
(cattle, sheep and goats, horses, camels, etc.), poultry
(chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, etc.), bees and
silkworms.
During the reporting period, the production volume of
livestock products was 167,711.0 billion. soums or
103.4% compared to the corresponding period of 2021,
and its share in the total volume of the network was
46.0%.

will help the government to develop targeted
measures aimed at reforming agriculture.
Since agriculture is an important sector of the
economy, there is a great need for reliable and
comprehensive national agricultural statistics.
Based on this, the following scientific proposals and
practical recommendations were developed in order to
improve the statistical calculation of the results of
reforms implemented in the agrarian sector:
- ensuring that the national agricultural statistics
system is reliable and comprehensive;
- further improvement of the organizational and
methodological
foundations
of
agricultural
observations;
- continuous analysis of trends observed in agriculture;
- to create a statistical data base for the assessment of
the structural state of agriculture, to create the
possibility of comparing the field with statistical data
used in international experiments, to make selective
observations in the field of agriculture transfer;
- to ensure the completeness of registration results, to
create the necessary infrastructure for their timely and
high-quality implementation, and to introduce new
technologies (for example, mobile devices, geo-
location information systems, etc.);
- to develop and implement a plan of measures in the
field of personnel training in order to increase the
potential and qualifications of participants in
agricultural registration;
- in order to further increase the quality, reliability and
transparency of indicators of agricultural statistics, it is
recommended to introduce the method of calculating
data by net quarters.
