INTRODUCTION
In our country, the normative basis for the process of
developing the moral education of students based on
advanced foreign experience, the training of specialists
who can freely communicate in foreign languages, the
wide use of the achievements of world civilization, and
the enrichment of the material and technical base have
been created. In the decree on the development
strategy of the new Uzbekistan for 2022-2026 [1], the
priority task is to improve the quality of education, to
train highly qualified personnel in line with the modern
needs of the labor market, as well as to introduce
international educational standards and evaluate the

quality of higher education institutions. improving
efficiency was set as a priority task. As a result, the
opportunity to teach languages in an integrated
manner in educational institutions has been expanded.
The main results and findings
The goals of education are inextricably linked with all
general education subjects studied in modern high
school. Undoubtedly, one of the most important topics
that shape the moral image of a child is a foreign
language. And not only because the English language
is a means of communication between people
representing different countries and peoples, but in
the process of learning foreign languages, problems
are raised and discussed that allow you to form critical
thinking skills, allow you to connect your views. It is in
the foreign language lesson that the teacher has the
opportunity to form the worldview of the student, his
moral character, because the subject of "foreign
language" affects the attitude and behavior of the
child in a specific life situation, in addition to the field
of specific linguistic competences.
One of the methods promoting moral education is the
project method. The project methodology provides
great opportunities for students to develop universal
values such as respect and tolerance for other cultures
and a deeper understanding of their own culture.
Students are offered self-creative tasks (projects). In
project learning, the teacher is a consultant, assistant,
and ordinary participant of the project, involving
everyone in the discussion. Such forms of
communication help to educate students morally and
aesthetically. Students work actively, creatively and
with interest. They show qualities such as collectivism,
responsibility and a sense of friendship. Such lessons
allow the group of students to actively communicate,
conduct experiments and gather experience of moral
relations. Independent work skills are being formed, in
order to successfully implement them, they feel the
need to connect their efforts with the efforts of others,
compare their knowledge with the knowledge of
others, learn to listen and understand their comrades,
defend their opinion, help and accept help.
The attitude to reading as a creative activity is
strengthened by the students' creative research, they
are spoken to at scientific-practical conferences. This
allows students to be involved in creative activities at
different stages of studying the educational material,
to develop the ability to see beauty in work and
creativity. On the example of the behavior and
character traits of literary characters, movie
characters, students learn to distinguish between
good and bad deeds, analyze the moral aspects of their
actions. Respect for another's culture is provided by
the illustrative view. Students will get acquainted with
the best examples of the culture of English-speaking
countries[2].
Methods that promote the moral education of the
student in the English language class can include group
and pair activities. There is discussion of the problem in
groups and pairs, certain points of view are formed in
interactions with other people. So, in this case,
discussing the problem is one way of working.
Moreover, the work does not end only with the
discussion. During the discussion of the problem, the
decision made is presented to the whole group, while
the group chooses the best solution and justifies its
choice.
Among the topics discussed in the process of learning
foreign languages, there are more and more actual

problems. Among them are problems such as
tolerance, problems of the modern family, problems of
charity, problems of materialism and national culture,
poverty and the fight against it.
In English classes, the educational process is carried
out in different ways, using different methods,
techniques and educational tools. In the pedagogical
literature, the concept of the form of education is
defined as follows: it is a method of organizing the
educational process. Forms of general organization of
the educational process reflect the relationship
between teachers and students[3].
Thematic lessons play an important role. The lesson is
the main organizational form of school education. This
is not only an important organizational, but also, first
of all, pedagogical unity of the educational and
educational process, its ethics, as well as the main
principles, methods and tools of teaching receive real
concretization and find their correct solution and are
implemented only during the lesson. Each lesson
makes a unique contribution to solving problems. The
lesson performs a certain function, in which a certain
part of large blocks of educational material is
expressed.
The lesson as a form of organization of education has
taken a firm place as the main organizational form of
education in the school. A good lesson is not an easy
task. The art of teaching depends to a large extent on
the teacher's understanding and fulfillment of social
and pedagogical requirements determined by school
tasks, learning laws and principles. An important
condition for conducting a lesson is the competent
formulation of lesson goals and their successful
implementation. Teaching a foreign language seeks to
fulfill practical, educational and developmental
tasks[4]. The practical or communicative task is aimed
at forming students' communicative competence, that
is, speech activity. General educational tasks are
intended to lay the foundation for the philological
education
of
schoolchildren;
improving
the
educational culture, which is manifested in certain
communicative skills: the ability to start a
conversation, maintain it, pay attention, show interest
and finish the conversation. Educational tasks also play
an important role. The educational value of a foreign
language is to make students evaluate and emotionally
relate to the world, to have a positive attitude towards
the culture of people who speak a foreign language.
Developmental tasks define ways of formation and
development of motivational and emotional spheres
of students' personality, value orientations and
readiness for self-education in a foreign language.
It is difficult to argue that textual materials provide
unlimited opportunities for moral education of
students. The text at all levels of education covers
issues of morality, honesty, duty, friendship and human
relationships. Using the materials of textbooks, books
for reading, the teacher can reveal to the students and
demonstrate the high moral qualities of a person[5].
The skill of the teacher, the ability to organize a free
conversation, to create a favorable psychological
environment for the exchange of ideas is also of
particular importance, where the main focus is not on
correcting mistakes, but on encouraging students to
express their opinions.
The study of language and culture, moral values
simultaneously ensures the effective achievement of
practical, educational and developmental goals and
contains important opportunities to further support

the motivation of students. In order for students to
work effectively in the classroom, the teacher should
use non-traditional teaching methods. Such activities
include[6]:
- class trip;
- video guide;
- teaching;
- lesson is a holiday;
- lesson-interview;
- integrated lesson, etc.
The main goals of combining a foreign language with
humanitarian sciences are as follows: improving
communicative and cognitive skills aimed at
systematizing and deepening knowledge and sharing
this knowledge in
the context of speech
communication in a foreign language; further
development and improvement of students' aesthetic
taste.
The experience of school teachers and the research of
innovative teachers have shown that non-traditional
forms of teaching support students' interest in science
and increase motivation to learn.
The main advantage of non-traditional forms of
teaching is the development and improvement of
socio-cultural competence of students, the expansion
of knowledge about the cultural heritage of the
countries of the studied language to the basic level,
and the development of morals.
Non-traditional forms of English lessons, as a rule, are
carried out after studying a topic or several topics and
performing educational control functions. Such classes
are held in an unusual, non-traditional environment.
Such a change in the usual environment is desirable,
because it creates a festive atmosphere in
summarizing the work done, removes the mental
barrier that appears in the traditional environment due
to the fear of making a mistake[7]. In addition, we can
say that non-traditional forms of lessons create a great
opportunity for the implementation of educational
tasks and contribute to the formation of a person who
is able and ready to participate in intercultural dialogue
and educate moral values.
The use of poems in foreign language classes and
extracurricular activities is one of the important ways
to increase the motivation of students in learning a
foreign language, because such poems allow students
to get acquainted with the culture and customs of the
studied country, which always arouse great interest in
students. We suggest to use the ready translation of
poems in English or to give the students the task of
independent translation, in this case not only
educational and developmental tasks, but also
educational-patriotic education will be carried out. The
teacher also gets to know his student more deeply, as
if taking a psychological portrait of him. Thus, the use
of poetry has developmental value; moreover, it helps
to ensure not only the linguistic environment in the
classroom, but also the psychological comfort.
Let's consider the methods that can contribute to the
moral education of a student in a foreign language
class:
First, these are collective forms of interaction. Among
them, group and pair work can be distinguished. It is in
groups and pairs that a certain problem is discussed,
certain points of view are formed in interactions with

other children. So, in this case, discussing the problem
is one way of working. Moreover, the work does not
end only with the discussion. The decision made during
the discussion of the problem is presented to the
whole class. The class chooses the best solution and
justifies its choice. Another effective way to work in the
above-mentioned direction is, of course, role-playing.
Role playing is also a form of group interaction.
However, in this case, each student takes individual
responsibility for the decision that has already been
made. At the same time, in a role-playing game, the
trajectory of the participant's behavior in a certain
situation is usually determined in advance[8]. Although
in some cases only the outcome of the interaction can
be negotiated, the trajectory of the behavior depends
on the learner's own choices. In the process of using
this method of work, it is necessary to introduce a
reflection stage so that students can analyze the
relevance, necessity and effectiveness of a particular
behavior model. Of course, the behavior of role-playing
is mainly determined by the language material being
studied, but the moral orientation also affects the
intended behavior. The task of the teacher is to show
examples of behavior, to justify them from the point of
view of rationality and morality, to determine the
child's behavior in an assumed problem situation and,
if necessary, to correct this behavior, but in no case in
the form of education and instruction. It is best if the
behavior model is adjusted not by the teacher, but by
the children themselves, offering their options and
justifying their choices.
In my opinion, the use of songs is an effective method
of teaching in foreign language classes, both for moral
education and for improving listening and speaking.
The song introduces an element of sincerity rather
than tradition into the process of language learning,
which has a significant impact on the emotional sphere
of students. Activities in a foreign language on the
background of music not only help to memorize the
material, but also relieve fatigue during the learning
process. Thus, the use of different forms and methods
in foreign language classes has great potential for the
implementation of educational tasks in English classes.
An important role in the education of morals in English
language classes lies in the methodologically correct
choice of material for the lesson and the methodology
of its use.
A foreign language has a great influence on the
formation of personality and moral education during
adolescence. And now we can say that optimal use of
educational opportunities in the process of learning a
foreign language is one of the most urgent problems
of methodology.
Thus, learning a foreign language increases spiritual
and moral culture, develops logical thinking, has a
great impact on memory, expands the worldview and
increases general culture, helps moral and aesthetic
development, affects the spiritual formation of a
person. The educational potential of poetry, folklore,
musical works, fiction, cinematography, their
translation and the practice of special discussion is
huge, because it provides students with a personal
understanding of moral and spiritual values, ideas,
principles and ideals developed by society. allows for
the formation of a meaningful relationship.
The school prepares the child for further participation
in the process of interpersonal and intercultural
interaction by teaching a foreign language. At the same
time, its task is to educate the child's tolerance,
positive and interested perception of the culture of a
foreign language, and at the same time to develop

respect for the culture of his people among
schoolchildren. The process of understanding the
culture of a foreign language continues by enriching
the inner experience of the child, forming his cognitive
and communicative skills. Thus, language learning is
filled with lively content for schoolchildren, it becomes
more and more necessary for them, forms self-
communication skills, teaches to understand other
cultures.
A foreign language is one of their general educational
subjects and performs important educational
functions that contribute to the formation of a well-
rounded personality. The main core in the general
system of comprehensive personal development is
moral education. Moral education involves bringing
students closer to their homeland, society, team,
people, work, duties and self. The task of moral
education is to transform the socially necessary
requirements of society into the internal stimulation of
each student's personality, such as duty, honour,
conscience, and dignity. Purposeful teaching of a
foreign language allows the teacher to make a certain
contribution to the moral education of students, to
form moral ideas and concepts.
The peculiarity of a foreign language is that, on the one
hand, mastering speech activity in a foreign language
is a very difficult mental process that requires students
to mobilize attention, memory, determination, and
will, and on the other hand, the process of mastering a
foreign language itself is a way to acquire further
knowledge about the world and the world in other
countries. spiritual values of their people, their
psychology, stimulates the image of life.
The spiritual and moral development and education of
every citizen of the country is the main factor of the
country's development, it ensures the spiritual unity of
the people and the moral values that unite them,
political and economic stability. It is impossible to
create a modern innovative economy without ignoring
a person, the state and the quality of his inner life.
The pace and nature of the development of society
directly depend on the civil position of a person, his
motivational and volitional sphere, life priorities, moral
beliefs, moral standards and spiritual values.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, the need to educate a person, to form
the characteristics of a spiritually developed person, to
love one's country, to create and improve it is the most
important condition for the successful development of
society.
