INTRODUCTION

In music and art higher education institutions, general
piano is one of the important subjects aimed at the
comprehensive musical development of students. This
subject helps to form students' performance skills,
musical thinking, develop the technique of playing
musical works, as well as increase musical literacy. The

piano plays an important role not only in solo

Today, the role of general piano science in enriching
the content of music education and developing the
creative potential of students is increasing. Therefore,
the methods of effective teaching of this subject,
increasing its practical importance, and the use of
advanced pedagogical technologies in the educational
process are of great importance. This article examines
the role of general piano science in higher education
institutions, its importance in the educational process,
and effective teaching methods.

Material

:

General piano science is included as one of the
important subjects in the curriculum of music and art
higher education institutions. This subject gives
students the opportunity to fully and accurately
perform musical works, musically analyze the works,
and develop their musical thinking. In piano lessons,
students acquire skills such as reading notes,
understanding chords and tonalities, and expressing
musical speech. In the future, these skills will serve as
an important basis for their creative work, work with
an ensemble and orchestra, and pedagogical work.

The materials used in the process of teaching general
piano science mainly include musical works of different
periods and directions, technical etudes and
pedagogical repertoires. An individual approach is
used based on the ability and level of preparation of
each student. At the same time, the use of modern
pedagogical technologies and information and
communication tools in the course of the lesson is also
important in increasing the effectiveness of teaching
general piano science.

References:

Scientific researches and pedagogical experiences on
teaching general piano science have been studied by
many foreign and domestic scientists. The works of
musicologists such as G. Neugauz[1], K. Martinsen[2],
A. Alyabyev[3] on piano performance and its teaching
methodology are an important source. These works
emphasize the importance of analyzing musical pieces,
building technical skills, and paying attention to subtle
aspects of musical expression in the development of
piano performance. Through these literatures, one can
get complete information about the didactic
foundations

of

piano

science,

methodical

recommendations for the proper organization of the
educational process, and educational materials used in
the course of the lesson.

In the literature, special attention is paid to the issues
of creative development of students by determining
the place of piano science in the curriculum, enriching
its content, performing musical works of different
styles and directions. Based on these studies, the
effectiveness of such methods as the use of an
individual and group approach in the educational
process, and the organization of lessons in interactive
forms is emphasized.

DISCUSSION

There are a number of challenges and peculiarities in
teaching general piano. One of them is the differences
in students' level of musical training. Some students
are already familiar with the piano, while for others it is
a new experience. Therefore, one of the main tasks of
pedagogues is to approach each student individually,
to develop a curriculum taking into account their
abilities and opportunities.

The selection of musical works is also important in the
educational process. The works should correspond to
the technical and creative level of the student, and
should serve to develop their musical thinking. In
addition, in addition to learning musical techniques,
attention should be paid to the development of the
ability to explain the meaning and expression of
musical works, to feel them and convey them to the
listener.

The development of modern technologies makes it
possible to use new methods in the educational
process. For example, interactive teaching methods,
the use of video and audio materials, and distance
learning systems increase the effectiveness of general
piano teaching. This makes students more interested in
the learning process and helps to raise their level of
mastery.

RESULT

The teaching of general piano science in music and art
higher education institutions plays an important role in
the development of students' performance skills,
musical thinking and creative abilities. The analysis of
research and literature shows that an individual
approach to the teaching of general piano science, the
use of interactive methods, the correct selection of
musical repertoire and the use of modern technologies
increase the effectiveness of lessons.

Also, piano lessons not only prepare students
technically, but also develop their musical taste,
creative thinking and expressive potential. This will
serve as a basis for students to be successful in their
professional activities in the future. Therefore, it is
necessary to constantly improve the process of

teaching general piano science, to implement new
methods and approaches.

CONCLUSION

General piano science plays a key role in the
development of performance skills, musical thinking
and creative abilities of students in music and art
higher education institutions. Through this subject,
students learn to perform musical works correctly and
expressively, improve technical skills, as well as musical
literacy. The use of individual approach and modern
pedagogical methods in piano lessons increases the
effectiveness of the educational process.

The analysis shows that the success of general piano
teaching depends on such factors as the correct
selection of the curriculum and repertoire, taking into
account the student's level of preparation, the use of
interactive teaching methods, and the effective use of
information and communication technologies. . As a
result, students who have thoroughly mastered the
subject of the piano not only develop their creative
potential, but also acquire the necessary knowledge
and skills to successfully work in the music education
system. Therefore, it is urgent to constantly improve
the process of teaching general piano science and to
apply advanced pedagogical technologies.
