INTRODUCTION
Rubinstein states that a person is individual due to his
unique characteristics. A person’s conscious attitude
towards his surroundings, towards existence, and his
engagement in any activity indicate that he is a person.
A person determines his attitude towards the people
around him and towards himself. A person’s attitude
towards the environment is expressed in his
worldview, beliefs and, most importantly, in his
attitude towards others, in his activity.
A person is an individual who has consciousness, lives
in a certain socio-economic format, and is engaged in a
certain activity. The orientation, interests, and so on of
a person’s mental processes acquire a selective nature.
Personality traits are also important in reflecting the
environment. For example, some people perceive the
environment easily and quickly, while others perceive
the environment using hearing, movement, and other
analyzers. The course of mental processes and the
mental qualities and states of a person are influenced
by the typological and temperamental characteristics

of the higher nervous system (choleric, sanguine,
phlegmatic, melancholic). These characteristics are
also reflected in human behavior, human activity, and
the specific characteristics of emotional-volitional
processes. The typological characteristics of the
activity of the human higher nervous system are
reflected in a single whole and form a person’s unique
inner world or character. A person has the properties
of self-awareness. An adult is not limited to knowing
the world around him and evaluating the events taking
place, but he understands himself and evaluates his
behavior, plans, and activities. A person has the
property of controlling his own activities. If a child lives
in a children's community, then in order to compensate
for his shortcomings, he communicates with children
younger than him and plays a leading role in them. They
also try to compensate for their shortcomings through
activities that they can perform themselves.
Currently, according to statistics worldwide, the
number of speech disorders is increasing, so the
prevention of speech disorders in children and
adolescents has become an urgent problem. In our
country, great attention is paid to correctional and
educational and pedagogical work with children with
speech disorders. A certain amount of progress has
been made in the early detection of speech disorders
in children, the organization of correctional education
and the resolution of the issue of educational methods.
A child's understanding of speech develops through
the perception of the surrounding world and the
establishment of communication. In the process of
raising children with speech disorders, parents and
educators must always be aware of their own behavior
and their own position. Mutual encouragement,
mutual respect, and maintaining order, interaction
between family members, play a significant role in the
prevention of psychogenic reactive states in children
with speech disorders. It is important to develop a
system of psychocorrectional work with preschool
children with speech development deficiencies.
The effectiveness of modern methods and educational
technologies for training future speech therapists
depends on their use of knowledge and skills in
practical processes, which ensures the professional
skills of the student. The technological model of
professional training for speech therapists allows you
to change the qualitative characteristics of the
educational process in a positive direction. The
organization of practice in the training of future speech
therapists, conducting educational activities in
specialized institutions at various facilities, gives great
results. In the training of speech therapists, it is
necessary to develop positive qualities in their personal
characteristics
and
techniques
for
imparting
knowledge that provide high indicators of professional
skills. Differentiating speech defects from each other
allows you to determine the level of competence in the
types and forms of corrective approaches, as well as to
prove the possibility of increasing this level, thereby
creating potential conditions for success in future
professional activities.
Changes in pedagogical education require changes in
the professional training of speech therapists. We need
a modern specialist who is knowledgeable, passionate
about his profession, and in constant search. This
concept reflects the fundamentally new socio-value
and moral-psychological directions of society, modern
trends in the development of science, and the fact that
the training of speech therapists is, first of all, relevant,
not only for the preparation of a person who is an
integral part of high professionalism, intelligence,
social maturity and creativity, but also for the

elimination of personality traits and shortcomings in
him through the use of technologies for the
development of future speech therapists. An integral
indicator of the maturity and development of the
system of personality traits and socialization features
of a modern speech therapist, as well as his readiness
to create individual correctional programs that are
implemented in individual creative and professional
pedagogical activities. The training of such a specialist
is associated with the creation of an effective learning
environment, which is formed under the influence of
factors such as the organization of special education,
the continuity of speech therapy classes, and the
qualitative renewal of technological conditions. It is
important for future speech therapists to develop their
personal qualities based on the principles of
humanism, improving their professional skills and
approach to activity, as well as to undergo a higher
pedagogical school. In connection with the
professional training of modern speech therapists, it is
necessary to emphasize personal-activity, multi-
subjective and individual-creative approaches in the
educational
and
pedagogical
process.
Its
implementation is important to forecast future
professional activity, the priority of personal and
interpersonal relationships. The system of speech
therapy education, which represents a holistic and at
the same time continuous process of transforming a
student into a specialist, is recognized as one of the
promising areas of modeling training in a modern
pedagogical university. For this, it is important to
ensure the unity of theoretical and practical, general
education and professional training. At the same time,
the humanistic orientation of students, the
harmonious development of the child's personality,
providing him with comprehensive speech therapy
knowledge, the formation of pedagogical skills and
ensuring the intellectual and spiritual freedom of the
future specialist are considered one of the important
tasks. The professional training of a future speech
therapist includes the efforts of the professor-teacher
and the student to clarify their roles and tasks in the
educational and pedagogical process. The higher
education institution most effectively implements the
management of activities, which is a condition for the
knowledge of the professor-teacher, a specific type of
activity and creative self-realization.
The specifics of the speech therapist's work are, first of
all, the correction of speech disorders in children, and
a modern speech therapist works with children of
different categories, including children with various
disorders, which requires the need to educate children.
A speech therapist must have extensive knowledge
and experience, since they deal not only with the
development of children with speech disorders, but
also with problems in other mental processes, that is,
with children with secondary disorders. It is important
to be prepared for work in the speech therapy and
correctional education system, to be able to
successfully apply theoretical knowledge in practice.
It is emphasized that future speech therapists should
be prepared for professional activity, skillful,
passionate about their profession and, of course,
continue to search. In the training of modern speech
therapists, it is important to eliminate shortcomings in
personal characteristics and to ensure that they are
humane, patient, and well-educated in all aspects in
their constant search for self-improvement, and of
course, possess modern knowledge. A speech
therapist must have a profession that fully meets the
requirements.
