ABSTRACT
In the context of global transformations, the education system of Uzbekistan is also undergoing reforms aimed at
improving the quality of training specialists. An interdisciplinary approach in teaching Methodology of scientific
research is a promising direction that contributes to the formation of flexibility of thinking, critical analysis and the
ability to adapt to modern challenges in master's and doctoral students. This article examines the possibility and
necessity of applying an interdisciplinary approach in the higher education system of Uzbekistan, as well as the key
challenges and prospects for its implementation.

INTRODUCTION
The development of science and technology demands
that young researchers possess the ability to analyze
problems comprehensively, apply knowledge from
various disciplines, and adapt to rapidly changing
conditions. An interdisciplinary approach, which
combines knowledge from different fields, is becoming
particularly important for Uzbekistan as it strives to
integrate into the global scientific community and
improve the quality of education.
The Methodology of Scientific Research is a
foundational course that establishes the basis for
scientific analysis and methodological thinking among
master's students and doctoral candidates. An

interdisciplinary approach facilitates the creation of a
knowledge system in which master's students or
doctoral candidates can utilize tools and methods from
various fields, identifying the most appropriate ways to
address research challenges [1]
METHODS
This article employs methods such as the analysis of
scientific literature, methodologies of interdisciplinary
education, and examples of successful implementation
of such approaches in educational programs of other
countries. Special attention is given to examining the
experience of local universities, where interdisciplinary
approaches are gradually being introduced to prepare
a new generation of researchers. The article explores
key aspects of the interdisciplinary approach and its
adaptation to the education system of Uzbekistan.
RESULTS
Theoretical Foundations of the Interdisciplinary
Approach
The interdisciplinary approach involves utilizing
knowledge and methods from various disciplines to
study and analyze problems [2]. This learning
approach:
1.
Enables the systematization of knowledge
from different scientific fields.
2.
Promotes the development of flexible thinking
necessary for solving complex problems.
3.
Teaches researchers to analyze problems from
diverse perspectives, leading to a holistic approach to
research.
Based on these principles, instructors of the course
*"Methodology
of
Scientific
Research"*
can
significantly enhance the curriculum by incorporating
interdisciplinary topics and projects, which require the
application of data and methods from other sciences,
such as sociology, statistics, economics, and
psychology [3].
1.
Strengthening the Interdisciplinary Approach
through the Integration of Social and Humanities
Sciences
. To effectively teach the methodology of
scientific research in Uzbekistan, it is essential to
include elements of social and humanities sciences,
such as sociology, psychology, and cultural studies.
These disciplines help young researchers consider
scientific studies within the context of society and
understand sociocultural aspects. This is particularly
relevant for Uzbekistan, where cultural diversity and
social characteristics play a significant role.
2.
Applying Natural Science and Mathematical
Approaches in Humanities Research
. Incorporating
data analysis methods and mathematical models helps
students develop quantitative analysis skills. This is
valuable
for
studying
socio-economic
and
environmental issues critical for our country, such as
water resources and sustainable development.
Researchers proficient in statistical analysis methods
can conduct more precise studies and formulate well-
substantiated conclusions [4].
3.
Examples of Interdisciplinary Projects
. One
successful example is a project studying the ecological
state of the Aral Sea, which integrates knowledge from
biology, ecology, economics, and sociology. Within
such projects, researchers can examine the impact of
environmental
issues
on
local
communities,

contributing to the development of a more holistic and
socially oriented approach to scientific research.
Analysis
1. Advantages of the Interdisciplinary Approach
.
Interdisciplinary education fosters the development of
analytical and critical thinking skills in researchers,
helping them to approach problems comprehensively
and devise integrative solutions [5]. Notably, this
approach enables adaptability to working in
multidisciplinary teams, aligning with the goals and
needs of Uzbekistan's scientific and educational
community.
2. Challenges in Implementing the Interdisciplinary
Approach in Uzbekistan
.
The primary difficulties include a lack of educators with
interdisciplinary expertise and limited opportunities
for training teachers to adopt new approaches [6].
Implementing an interdisciplinary approach also
requires revising curricula and significant financial
investments. Additionally, integrating interdisciplinary
education requires infrastructural changes, such as
access to digital educational platforms and tools for
working with big volumes of data.
CONCLUSIONS
The interdisciplinary approach to teaching the
methodology of scientific research is highly relevant
for Uzbekistan as it seeks to modernize its education
system and enhance its competitiveness on the
international stage. This approach equips students to
adapt effectively to changes, develop comprehensive
solutions, and work in a multicultural society. Despite
the challenges, adopting an interdisciplinary approach
opens new opportunities for Uzbekistan's scientific
and educational community, particularly in the context
of sustainable development and the country's
integration into the global economy
