 Ushbu maqola “O‘zbek musiqasi san’ati: zamon va makon kesimida” mavzusini yoritadi. O‘zbekistonning boy musiqa madaniyati, tarixiy va madaniy o‘zgarishlar, shuningdek, milliy an’analarning zamonaviy musiqa san’atiga qanday ta’sir ko‘rsatganini tahlil qiladi. Musiqa san’ati nafaqat tarixiy jarayonlar, balki jamiyatdagi ijtimoiy va madaniy o‘zgarishlarning ham aks etgan shakli sifatida ko‘rib chiqiladi. Maqolada o‘zbek musiqasining jahon musiqa san’ati bilan aloqasi, etnik va regionlararo farqlar, hamda zamonaviy texnologiyalar va globalizatsiyaning musiqaga ta’siri haqida ham so‘z boradi. Bu tahlil orqali o‘zbek musiqa san’atining rivojlanish yo‘llari, makon va zamon sharoitlaridagi o‘zgarishlari o‘rganiladi.

Ushbu maqola “O‘zbek musiqasi san’ati: zamon va makon kesimida” mavzusini

yoritadi. O‘zbekistonning boy musiqa madaniyati, tarixiy va madaniy o‘zgarishlar, shuningdek,

milliy an’analarning zamonaviy musiqa san’atiga qanday ta’sir ko‘rsatganini tahlil qiladi.

Musiqa san’ati nafaqat tarixiy jarayonlar, balki jamiyatdagi ijtimoiy va madaniy o‘zgarishlarning

ham aks etgan shakli sifatida ko‘rib chiqiladi. Maqolada o‘zbek musiqasining jahon musiqa

san’ati bilan aloqasi, etnik va regionlararo farqlar, hamda zamonaviy texnologiyalar va

globalizatsiyaning musiqaga ta’siri haqida ham so‘z boradi. Bu tahlil orqali o‘zbek musiqa

san’atining rivojlanish yo‘llari, makon va zamon sharoitlaridagi o‘zgarishlari o‘rganiladi.

Данная статья освещает тему «Узбекское музыкальное искусство в контексте

времени и пространства». Рассматривается богатая музыкальная культура Узбекистана,

исторические и культурные изменения, а также влияние национальных традиций на

современное музыкальное искусство. Музыкальное искусство анализируется не только

как результат исторических процессов, но и как отражение социальных и культурных

изменений в обществе. В статье также обсуждаются связи узбекской музыки с мировой

музыкальной культурой, этнические и региональные различия, а также влияние

современных технологий и глобализации на музыку. Через этот анализ изучаются пути

развития узбекского музыкального искусства, изменения, происходящие в условиях

времени и пространства.

Abstract:

This article explores the topic "Uzbek Musical Art in the Context of Time and Space."

It analyzes the rich musical culture of Uzbekistan, historical and cultural changes, as well as the

influence of national traditions on contemporary musical art. Music is examined not only as a

product of historical processes but also as a reflection of social and cultural changes in society.

The article discusses the relationship of Uzbek music with world musical art, ethnic and regional

differences, as well as the impact of modern technologies and globalization on music. Through

this analysis, the development paths of Uzbek musical art and its changes in the context of time

and space are explored.

INTRODUCTION

The concept and problem of time and space have been the focus of attention of scientists,

writers and ordinary people at all times. In different periods1, the concept of time has been given

different opinions and explanations. For example, in the explanatory dictionary of the Russian

language compiled by the famous Russian scientist S.V. Ozhegov it is said: Время, -мени, мн. –

мена, -мен, -менам, ст. 1. Одна из форм (наряду с пространством) существования

бесконечно развивающейся материи – последовательная смена ее явлений и состояний.

Вне времени и пространства нет движения материи2.

The category of time is a form of existence of matter, which denotes the consistency of

the wide spread of material processes in space and time, the various stages of these processes,

their separation from each other, their duration and development. Every event has its past,

present, and future. Some things and phenomena occur (exist) earlier, others later. This situation

is expressed by the concept of time.

Music is, first of all, an art form that reflects the historical rise, crisis or social

changes of a nation. The development of Uzbek music has been significantly influenced by

historical processes, political changes, cultural ties and globalization. Also, music and the images

reflected in it provide information about the worldview, views and values of the nation.

If we look at the historical development of Uzbek music, this art has developed over the

centuries, reflecting the spiritual and social state of the people through various forms of song and

music. For example, in regions such as Khorezm, Bukhara, Fergana, unique musical traditions

have been formed. Uzbek musical art is famous throughout Central Asia for its traditional genres,

such as song, katta ashula, maqom, Shashmaqom, Khorezm maqoms, Fergana-Tashkent maqom

routes and others.

Over time, the development of music is not only associated with changes in musical

forms. One of the most important factors that shaped the formation of music and strengthened its

influence among the people was the political and social changes in Uzbekistan. After

independence, Uzbek music went through a period when the issues of preserving and

modernizing traditional music intersected. On the one hand, folk music took on its own unique

forms, and on the other hand, modern technologies and global musical culture helped to promote

Uzbek music on the global stage. For example, the introduction of estrade or pop music genres

into the musical culture of Uzbekistan shows a certain image of Uzbek folk music.

LITERATURE REVIEW AND METHODS

The relationship of music to space is closely related not only to the place of its

performance, but also to the introduction and influence of music. Uzbek music exists in many

different social and cultural layers, and this music shows its uniqueness in its connection with

each space.
When considering the place of Uzbek music in space and society, two main aspects can be

considered:
• Traditional space: This space includes rural life, traditional customs and rituals. The importance

of music in this space is important in preserving the oral culture, traditions, religious and ethnic

beliefs of the people.
• City space: City culture and modern spaces in Uzbekistan have created new directions for the

development of music. City life, tourism, and global connections have led to the formation of

new musical forms. In this regard, the combination of folk music with new genres, such as pop

music or elements of electronic music, is of great importance.

RESULTS

Music plays a significant role not only for aesthetic pleasure, but also in a social and

philosophical sense. Uzbek music, especially folk music, serves as a means of reflecting the

spiritual state of society, its changes, and the social strata in society. Philosophically, music

expresses the spiritual state of a person, through which the people try to preserve their ancient

values. The philosophical significance of music is manifested, in particular, in its power to

express feelings. For example, maqom, as a musical genre, with its complex structures and

encyclopedic resonance, expresses a person’s inner experiences, spiritual quests, and even

transcendental problems.

DISCUSSION

At this point, it is worth mentioning the term “transcendent”. This term is used in philosophical

and religious contexts. It usually refers to something that is beyond the ordinary and everyday

experiences and understandings of man. This, in turn, represents an existence or reality that is

beyond the human mind and worldview.

In philosophy, the transcendent is understood as something that is not fully understood by

humanity, but exists, which people can only perceive to a limited extent. For example,

transcendental reality is the true essence of a certain being or existence, which cannot be fully

understood by ordinary reason.
In religious terms, the transcendent is often associated with life after death or high spirituality,

that is, it refers to a spiritual or divine reality that is not directly related to human life on earth,

but exists.
In music terminology, the word transcendent is often used to refer to the ability of music to

evoke spiritual or emotional feelings that are beyond a person’s everyday experience, to lead to

higher spiritual states. For example, maqom, as a musical genre, with its deep and complex

structures, can lead a person to transcendent experiences — that is, to perceive mental states that

are above the ordinary worldview on an emotional or spiritual level.

In general, transcendent is a reality or state that is beyond the limits of a person, above or

in another dimension than ordinary experiences.

Music is also interconnected with social changes and innovations in society. For example, Uzbek

pop music and its influence represent new hope, social and cultural renewal for many young

people. This, in turn, indicates the modern development of Uzbek music, the conflict and

harmony between traditional and new forms.

CONCLUSION

Uzbek music is undergoing its own development processes in time and space. Its social

and philosophical significance is enormous. Music is not only a means of reflecting the social

situation, but also a language that expresses the spiritual and moral state of humanity. In the

process of transition to modern forms of music, the inextricable link between traditional and

modern forms has further strengthened the uniqueness of Uzbek musical art. Music, of course, is

an integral part of the complex structure of society, it has its own philosophical and social wealth.
