Аннотация

The article focuses on the development of students' communicative competence in the context of the green economy. It highlights the growing demand for specialists who possess not only environmental knowledge but also strong communication skills to promote sustainable ideas, collaborate in interdisciplinary teams, and engage with diverse stakeholders. The study identifies the main components of communicative competence—linguistic, sociolinguistic, and pragmatic—as essential for the green transition. It also discusses educational strategies for integrating environmental topics into communication training and presents examples of successful practices in higher education. The article concludes with recommendations for enhancing communicative competence as a key factor in preparing students for the challenges of the green economy.

COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE OF STUDENTS IN THE CONDITIONS OF A

GREEN ECONOMY

Abstract:

The article focuses on the development of students' communicative competence in the

context of the green economy. It highlights the growing demand for specialists who possess not

only environmental knowledge but also strong communication skills to promote sustainable

ideas, collaborate in interdisciplinary teams, and engage with diverse stakeholders. The study

identifies the main components of communicative competence—linguistic, sociolinguistic, and

pragmatic—as essential for the green transition. It also discusses educational strategies for

integrating environmental topics into communication training and presents examples of

successful practices in higher education. The article concludes with recommendations for

enhancing communicative competence as a key factor in preparing students for the challenges of

the green economy.

Introduction

In the modern world, the issues of ecology and sustainable development are becoming

increasingly important. The development of a green economy requires new approaches to

training specialists who possess not only professional knowledge, but also highly developed

communicative competence. This article examines the role of communicative competence in the

context of a green economy, its impact on professional activity and ways of formation. In today's

world, ecology and sustainable development are becoming increasingly important. The

development of a "green" economy requires new approaches to training specialists who possess

not only professional knowledge, but also developed communication skills. The article analyzes

the role of communicative competence in the field of a "green" economy, its impact on work and

ways of its formation.

1. Theoretical foundations

Communicative competence is a set of knowledge, skills and abilities that allow you to

effectively interact in a professional and social environment. In a green economy, it includes the

ability to explain environmental principles, negotiate with various stakeholders, and develop

sustainable development strategies.

The main components of communicative competence:

Linguistic – knowledge of professional terminology.

Sociolinguistic – adaptation of communication to the target audience.

following communication skills are in demand:

Negotiation and persuasion skills – important when implementing environmental initiatives in

business.

Teamwork and leadership – coordination of sustainable development projects.

Environmental education – effective transfer of knowledge about green technologies.

Intercultural communication – interaction with international organizations and partners.

3. Methods for developing communicative competence Modern educational and professional

programs offer various methods for developing this competence:

Interactive learning – case methods, role-playing games and business simulations.

Educational platforms – online courses on sustainable development and green economy.

Practice-oriented trainings – participation in real projects and internships.

Collaborations with business – exchange of experience and best practices from experts in the

field of ecology.

Provide opportunities for the practical application of communication skills in the business

environment, government projects and public activities.

Conclusion

A green economy requires specialists who are able not only to develop sustainable technologies,

but also to effectively communicate their importance. Developing communication skills is an

important step towards an environmentally sustainable future. Integrating communication skills

into educational processes and professional activities will help accelerate the transition to a green

economy and ensure its successful functioning. To do this, it is necessary not only to develop

educational programs, but also to create conditions for the practical application of

communication skills in business, government initiatives and public projects. The interaction of

various stakeholders, knowledge exchange and participation in global environmental projects

will allow for faster adaptation to the requirements of sustainable development and ensure the

long-term effectiveness of the green economy, i.e. the integration of communication skills into
