between various stakeholders in the travel
industry can contribute to Jasri's sustainable
tourism development. The research investigates
how collaboration can address challenges,
improve infrastructure and amenities, and create a
more enriching tourist experience. By fostering a
collaborative approach, the paper proposes that
Jasri can leverage the expertise and resources of
the travel industry to enhance its tourism potential
and create a thriving local economy.
INTRODUCTION
The allure of tourism holds immense potential for economic growth and community
development. However, harnessing this potential requires a strategic and collaborative approach,
especially for emerging destinations like Jasri, a developing tourism town within the Karangasem
Regency, Indonesia. This paper explores the transformative power of collaboration within the travel
industry, specifically focusing on how partnerships can empower Jasri to flourish as a sustainable and
enriching tourist destination.
Jasri, brimming with potential, possesses unique cultural and natural assets that can captivate visitors.
Yet, the town's journey towards tourism success necessitates a multi-stakeholder approach. By
fostering collaboration between various actors within the travel industry, Jasri can unlock its true
potential and establish itself as a thriving tourist destination.
This paper delves into the intricate relationship between travel industry collaboration and tourism
development. We investigate how partnerships can empower Jasri to address key challenges, such as
limited infrastructure, a nascent tourism sector, and the need for a more diversified tourist experience.

We posit that collaboration can act as a catalyst for progress, fostering innovation, attracting
investment, and ensuring the responsible development of Jasri's tourism sector.
METHODS
The study used a qualitative research method, with data collected through in-depth interviews with 15
key informants. The informants were selected using purposive sampling, based on their involvement in
the tourism industry in Jasri. The interviews were conducted in Bahasa Indonesia and recorded for
transcription. The data collected were analyzed using content analysis.
Our investigation into empowering Jasri through travel industry collaboration will be a meticulous
process.
First, we will embark on an in-depth case study analysis of Jasri. This will involve a thorough
examination of its current tourism landscape, dissecting existing infrastructure and meticulously
identifying the challenges it faces. To achieve this, we will employ a multi-pronged approach,
meticulously reviewing official documents and tourism development plans. Additionally, we will
conduct interviews with a diverse range of stakeholders, including local government officials,
individuals within the tourism industry (hotels, restaurants, tour operators), and members of the Jasri
community. Finally, we will meticulously analyze existing research and reports to glean valuable
insights into Jasri's unique tourism potential.

Following the case study analysis, we will shift our focus to stakeholder identification. Here, meticulous
attention will be paid to pinpointing key players within the travel industry who possess the capacity to
contribute significantly to Jasri's development. This may include accommodation providers such as
hotels, resorts, and homestays, as well as transportation companies encompassing airlines and local
transport options. Travel agencies, tour operators, and activity providers offering cultural experiences
and adventure tours will also be meticulously identified. The stakeholder identification process will not
be limited to for-profit entities; we will also explore the potential involvement of non-profit
organizations dedicated to sustainable tourism development.

The final stage of our process will involve meticulously exploring various collaboration models that can
be implemented within the travel industry to empower Jasri. This will necessitate a deep dive into
public-private partnerships, where we will dissect how government agencies and travel businesses can
work together to achieve shared goals. Industry associations that facilitate collaboration and
knowledge sharing among stakeholders will also be meticulously examined. Finally, we will explore the
potential of community-based tourism initiatives that actively involve local residents in the process of
tourism development in Jasri. By meticulously following these processes, we aim to construct a
comprehensive roadmap for fostering travel industry collaboration and empowering Jasri's journey
towards sustainable tourism development.

The results showed that the involvement of tourism stakeholders was crucial in the development of
Jasri tourism village. The stakeholders played different roles, including providing financial support,
promoting the destination, and collaborating with the local community. The government provided
funding for infrastructure development, such as roads and public facilities. The tourism industry
stakeholders, including hotels, restaurants, and tour operators, promoted the destination by offering
tour packages and marketing the village on their websites and social media accounts. The local
community played a vital role in providing traditional cultural performances, local cuisine, and
homestay accommodation.
The study also found that the collaboration between stakeholders and the community was essential in
ensuring the sustainability of the tourism village. The stakeholders worked together with the local
community to develop tourism products that were unique and authentic to the village. The
collaboration also ensured that the benefits of tourism were distributed fairly among the community
members. The study recommended that the stakeholders continue to collaborate with the local
community and involve them in decision-making processes to ensure the sustainability of Jasri tourism
village.
DISCUSSION
The findings of this study are consistent with previous studies that emphasized the importance of
stakeholder involvement in the development of sustainable tourism destinations. The involvement of
different stakeholders, including government, tourism industry, and the local community, was crucial
in the development of Jasri tourism village. The collaboration between stakeholders and the community
ensured that the tourism products were authentic, and the benefits of tourism were distributed fairly
among the community members. This study contributes to the existing literature by highlighting the
importance of stakeholder involvement in the development of tourism destinations in Indonesia.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, this study found that the involvement of tourism stakeholders was crucial in the
development of Jasri tourism village. The stakeholders played different roles, including providing
financial support, promoting the destination, and collaborating with the local community. The
collaboration between stakeholders and the community was essential in ensuring the sustainability of
the tourism village. The study recommended that the stakeholders continue to collaborate with the local
community and involve them in decision-making processes to ensure the sustainability of Jasri tourism
village.
