Abstract

This research paper proposes a meta-cognitive approach to support students requiring special attention in communication for fostering their academic success. Effective communication skills are essential for academic achievement and overall personal development. However, some students face challenges in this area, which can hinder their educational progress. This study employs a mixed-methods research design, combining quantitative assessments of students' communication proficiency with qualitative insights from interviews and observations. The meta-cognitive approach involves empowering students to become aware of their communication strategies, set goals, and engage in reflective practices. The findings highlight the effectiveness of the meta-cognitive intervention in enhancing communication skills, boosting confidence, and positively impacting academic outcomes for students requiring special attention in communication. ‎
