This article explores the theoretical foundations, pedagogical potential and practical significance of using media products in the teaching of social and humanities disciplines. The study analyzes how digital media—such as video content, podcasts, infographics, virtual reality tools, and online platforms—contribute to the development of critical thinking, cultural competence, and independent learning skills. The article also examines international practices, including the experiences of educational systems in Finland, the United States, and Japan, and presents modern pedagogical models such as flipped classrooms, media-modular teaching and project-based learning. The findings show that media products enhance educational effectiveness, increase student motivation and help form media literacy, which is essential in today’s global information society.References
