Annotation:
This article explores the common challenges individuals face when
learning a new language, focusing on issues like pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary
retention, and cultural understanding. It begins by emphasizing the crucial role
language plays in communication and personal development. The author highlights
pronunciation difficulties, particularly the complex rules of English vowel sounds,
and suggests practical methods to overcome these challenges, such as exposure to
media and conversation with native speakers. The article also addresses how a lack of
understanding of one’s native language’s grammar can hinder learning a foreign
language, especially when language rules are not taken seriously.

muloqot va shaxsiy rivojlanishdagi muhim o‘rnini ta’kidlash bilan boshlanadi.
Muallif, ayniqsa, ingliz tilidagi unli tovushlarning murakkab qoidalarini misol qilib

Everyone knows that language is the most important means of communication
that unites people in the world. At the moment, we cannot express our opinions
without communications and conversations, and in addition, the exchange of ideas
between people will not occur. Well, is languages important in our personal
development? Of course it's obvious. But considering that learning a language is not
easy for everyone and there are so many languages in the world, it makes any
beginner lose motivation. Let's think in detail about the difficulties they face. A very
common problem among many people, especially among young people, is
pronunciation. Of course, this is a natural situation. For the inhabitants of the earth
with more than 7,100 languages, it is quite difficult to learn these languages. Because
each language has its own alphabet of pronunciation rules, it seems difficult. If we
take English as an example, English vowels If the sequence or order of letters is
changed, it is read as a different sound, it seems very complicated if we take the
number of sounds compared to letters. But look at this, the most widely used
language of our planet is English. If we look at the statistics, this language has 1,132
million speakers and currently serves in the exchange of ideas in many political,
economic and social aspects of the world. It is clear from this that it is not a matter of
which language it is, it is a matter of overcoming difficulties with the right methods.
It is known that there are several methods to improve pronunciation, watching a lot of
movies related to this language, reading books and communicating with people who
have mastered this language.
The second is grammar and rules. The root cause of this problem lies in not
knowing one's mother tongue well. It is known to everyone that the grammar of

another language is explained to the students by comparing it with the grammar of
the local language. It's difficult for those who don't know the rules of their language,
because they don't have the knowledge about the language and the skills to use them
in the right order. It should be noted that students often do not take language learning
seriously. Problems such as sticking to grammar rules and language barriers cause
students to lose interest in learning a language and not take it seriously. In fact, I
believe that the idea that sentences do not have to be grammatically correct for
communication to be intelligible is both partly true and partly false at the same time.
Because during a conversation, if you make a sentence by constantly replacing the
grammatical rules, the fluency of the language will be damaged. Students do not and
cannot always follow the rules learned in the training. In addition, in non-philological
higher educational institutions, students treat foreign languages as a secondary
subject. Unfortunately, in most cases, students learn the language during training.
After the lessons, they practice pronunciation and essay writing and do not try to
learn new words. It is no secret that one of the biggest disadvantages is that when
mistakes are corrected, the thought "this is not my language after all" takes place in
the minds of students. This has a negative impact on learning a foreign language.
Another popular problem is memorizing words. Many people say that they have
a hard time memorizing words when learning a language. They memorize words, but
after some time they forget them. The main reason for this is the lack of use and they
memorize words, but do not get information about how to use them. People mainly
achieve vocabulary building by using many words throughout their life. Indeed,
because If words are rarely used in one's own language, the level of the main content
of this word may decrease.
Another reason is the low worldview of people. More precisely, a person who
has his own personal opinion in his own language, who can approach something from
a global perspective, and who has developed speech, has the ability to express these
thoughts in another language. According to the results of observations many
expressed their thoughts better in handwriting than in speech. The main reason for
this is the lack of attention to the development of personal speech. Learning a
language is not only the language of a nation, but also its values, history, and the
environment of that nation. It is no exaggeration to say that language will be a great
help to us in this regard. It is known that those who have lived for some time with the
inhabitants of the regions where they communicate in this language, quickly learn
that language. A number of ways can be listed as a solution. One of them is that the
student should use audio materials extensively to learn the correct pronunciation of

sounds and words. Independently watching foreign language films and videos
adapted to language teaching serves as a bridge, at least partially. Secondly, teachers
also have a role in language teaching, giving motivation and making them interested
in the lesson takes the main place. In addition, the use of different methods in
language teaching should be taken into account, as it helps teachers to create a
suitable environment for students in language learning and to deal with students'
learning problems.
Additionally, vocabulary retention is discussed, with the article noting that
consistent use and context are essential for long-term memorization. The cultural
aspect of language learning is also explored, emphasizing that mastering a language
involves understanding its cultural, historical, and social context. In conclusion, the
article stresses that overcoming these obstacles requires motivation, persistence, and
effective learning strategies, ultimately contributing to both personal growth and
successful communication in a globalized world.
The most important thing is that language is a tool that connects us with the
world and we should use it effectively. in studying the problems, the most important
thing is for our personal development.
We should believe that we will get the key to knowledge through trust and
interest, overcoming difficulties.
