Love as an expression of the emotional and sensory perception of the environment, the

relationship between people and the sexes is of great importance in the life of any person. Love is
one of the great importance in the world image of any person and determines his attitude to the
world. In different pictures of the world, love, despite the fact that it is an objective given, has a
different refraction. This circumstance can be traced most clearly in proverbs. It is known that
different cultures are based on systems of value orientations, which are reflected in proverbs, and
the linguistic analysis of these statements makes it possible to objectively establish some value
priorities of the compared cultures. While ttranslating proverbs from one language into another we
have to avoid inconsistencies both in meaning and in form, taking into account the contextual
situation. A special attention should be devoted to the transfer of traditions and national cultural
values [3,584].

Love is one of the basic concepts that define the mentality of the people, and we have

identified the themes that define this concept in the proverbial picture of the world. The first place
is taken by the group “love and friendship”.

When comparing proverbs, attention is immediately drawn to the fact that only in English

there is such a group:

Friendship is always helpful, and love hurts – (Айни тарж: Дўст кулфатда билинар, севги

Love is incompatible with fear – (Айни тарж: Севгини қўрқув билан тенглаштириб

Friendship is love with understanding

Friendship in the English proverbial picture can turn into love, and rarely love into

friendship.

The second place is taken by the group “love and hate”. Such a thematic connection, like the

first group, exists in large numbers in the English proverbial world image.

The course of true love never did run smooth –

Love is sweet in the beginning but sour in the ending –

A characteristic feature of this group is that a person, when he loves, can simultaneously

hate. Love is as strong as hate. English proverbs include the idea that both love and hate are reckless,
transcending boundaries.

The third place is taken by the group “love and visual sensations”.

Beauty is in the eye of the gazer –

In the English proverbial picture of the world, there are proverbs that assert the importance

of evaluating with a glance, love with a glance, external sensations, and visual sensations in general.
This circumstance is explained by the special place of aesthetic sensations, external beauty, and
beauty in general in the English picture of the world. Group “love and visual jealousy”.

Hatred is blind, as well as love. –

A distinctive feature is that without jealousy, love is not love. If a person loves, then he should

be jealous.

Next comes the “love is blind” group.

– Love sees no faults – (Айни тарж: Севги камчиликлардан кўз юмар)

– Love makes a good eye squint – (Айни тарж: Севги соғ кўзни ҳам қисилишга мажбур қилар –

Despite the fact that there are a large number of proverbs about the meaning of a visual

sensation in love, there are also a significant number of proverbs that characterize this feeling as
blind. In Uzbek proverbs on this topic, a much more significant place than in English is occupied by
proverbs with a negative assessment of the concept “Love”.

The sixth place is taken by the group “love and death”.

They love too much that die for love –

Love is as strong as death – (Айни тарж: Севги ўлим каби кучлидир).
Love is put on a par with death – (Айни тарж: Севги ўлим билан каби бир қаторда).

The seventh place is taken by the group “love and poverty”.

Love does not get along with poverty; poverty kills love

Next comes the “love and time” group (2).

Time, not the mind, puts an end to love – (Айни тарж: Севгига ақл эмас вақт чек қўяди).

Time heals all wounds – (Айни тарж: Вақт барча дардни даволайди).
Time, not the mind, puts an end to love –

The connection between love and time in the English painting is less often traced than in the

Uzbek culture.

Next group the “old love”.

Calf love, half love; old love, cold love. –

The new love drives out the old love – (Айни тарж: Янги севги эскисини сиқиб чиқаради)
Old love does not rust – (Айни тарж: Эски севги зангламас) Old love will not be forgotten –

The theme of old love, first love in the English proverbial

picture is developed and presented more.

Group “love and money”.
Money plays a very important role in the life of society. They plunge a person into the abyss

of passions:

Kissing goes by favour –

A good wife and health are a man’s best wealth –
Money makes marriage –

Bachelor’s fare: bread and cheese and kisses.

Group “love and law”.

Group “love and quarrel”.

Women are necessary evils –
The falling out of lovers is the renewing of love –

Be pinned to one’s wife’s apron strings –
Hot love is soon cold –

Single examples are the groups: “love and God”, “love and fun”, “the state of lover”, “love and

distance” and “love and cards”.

Group “love and fun”.

Short pleasure, long lament –

Group “the state of lover”.

Love is the reward of love –
Love cannot be compelled –
Love and business teach eloquence –
Love and a cough cannot be hid –

Group “love and distance”.

Group and “love and cards”.

Marriage is a lottery

Fortune is variant –
What you lose on the swings you gain on the roundabouts –

In the Uzbek proverbial picture, love is filled with specific content related directly to the

structure of life by the creation of a home and the birth of children,

the continuation of the family clan. On the one hand, love refers to the

area of a person’s spiritual nature, emanating from the deepest secrets of his spiritual nature. On
the other hand, love is the biological attraction of two bodily bodies. It is felt physically, is a
materialized representation of human sensory perceptions [15. P. 203].

The concept of love – taptal – is described in epic myth-making. In the proverbial picture of

the world of the Uzbek language, the most productive theme is “love is blind”.

Love is blind.
Jealousy is blind.
Loved eyes never see guilt.

In the Uzbek proverbial picture of the world, love is considered a divine definition and a

divine gift. Also, the proverbial picture shows that in the Uzbek culture it is not customary to express
feelings openly. The recklessness and divine predestination of feelings are emphasized. They fall in
love recklessly.

Look at makeup wife at home. See your wife

at the wedding.

Beauty of the men is his horse Beauty

of the bride is her baby

A smart wife is the beauty of the house,
A beautiful wife is the beauty of the street

The second place is taken by the group “love is unfaithfulness”.

The unfaithful wife is dear to your soul.
It is better faithful dog than unfaithful wife
There is no shame in unfaithful and

hypocrisy in

shameless

If you know someone is unfaithful

The third place is taken by the group “love and visual sesation”.

Eyes may get old, but not the soul.
Jealousy is blind
Loved eyes never see faults

Of great importance is the concept of choosing with the eyes. In the Uzbek proverbial picture,

tactile sensations are added to these visual parameters for choosing an object of love. In the
proverbs about love, the heart is of great importance.

Group “love and wealth”.

You cannot buy soul
Love will find a way.
Love does not look at wealth.

In the proverbial picture of the Uzbek world, the thought that wealth cannot replace love is

a red line.

The group “love and death”.

Love is little – life is little Love is good –

life is good

Қалбга қаримоқ йўқ, Soul never gets old Севгига – ўлим. Love never dies.

A person dies, but love as a spiritual essence remains in the memory of the people. True love

in the proverbial picture of the Uzbeks is presented as immortal. First of all, this is a spiritual state.
In the ideological system of the Uzbek people, special importance is attached to the natural essence
of the nature of manifestations of love.

A feature of the proverbial picture of the world is the thematic connection “love and

friendship”. When comparing proverbs, attention is immediately drawn to the fact that only in
English such a group does exist. In the English proverbial picture of the world, love is separated
from friendship, thus suggesting its special position.

A feature of the proverbial picture of the world of the Uzbek people is the thematic

connection “love is blind”. Among the Uzbeks, love is considered a divine definition and a divine gift.

Thus, we can draw some conclusions:
1.

connection “love and friendship”. When comparing proverbs, attention is immediately drawn to the
fact that only in English such a group does exist.

2.

sensations, visual sensations.

3.

has a tactile component.

expressing the connection between love and jealousy.

quarrels. In proverbs, there is the idea of the lack of love without beatings.

In the proverbial picture of the Uzbek world, the thought that wealth cannot replace love

is a red line. In the English proverbial picture of the world, love and poverty do not get along.
