Introduction
The development of notation knowledge in the process of musical
education is important in forming students' musical literacy. Notation is one of
the main components of not only the correct understanding and performance of
musical works, but also the development of music theory, performance and
creative abilities. Nevertheless, today it is observed that students face difficulties
in this area. Problems in reading and understanding notes are often associated
with the lack of improvement of pedagogical approaches, insufficient use of
modern technologies and interactive methods in lessons.
This article is aimed at studying the current problems of mastering notation
knowledge in music education and offering practical solutions to solve these
problems. The effectiveness of innovative pedagogical methods and the
advantages of modern approaches that serve to increase musical literacy are
analyzed. It is expected that this study will contribute to a more effective
organization of music education.
Methodology
This study used a number of methodological approaches to identify
problems associated with mastering notation knowledge in the process of music

education and develop effective solutions to them. The following methods were
used in the study:
Analytical method: Scientific and literary sources, textbooks, study guides
and advanced pedagogical practices related to notation knowledge were studied.
Through this method, the main problems encountered in the process of music
education were identified.
Empirical method: A questionnaire and interview were conducted among
students and teachers, and practical experiences were collected. Through this
method, it was possible to identify the difficulties encountered in teaching
notation and their causes.
Experimental and test methods: Innovative approaches and interactive
methods for teaching notation knowledge were tested in the lesson processes.
The effectiveness of these methods was assessed based on the results of
experimental lessons.
Comparison and statistical analysis: The knowledge of students taught
using traditional and innovative methods was compared. Pedagogical strategies
that help increase the effectiveness of the lesson were identified through
statistical analysis.
Pedagogical observation: Music education lessons were observed to study
the problems that arise in the learning process of notation. Through this method,
important factors in the lesson process were identified and suggestions were
developed.
Through the mutual integration of these methods, a comprehensive
approach was developed to increase the effectiveness of teaching notation
knowledge in music education.
Literature analysis:
The problems of mastering notation knowledge in the process of musical
education and issues related to their solutions have been studied by many
domestic and foreign researchers. Literature analysis allows us to identify
current issues in this area and analyze approaches to them.
Domestic research
Uzbek musicologists have analyzed the practical processes of music
education, paying attention to the national specifics of teaching notation
knowledge. In particular, scientists such as M. T. Tokhtakhojayev and O. B.
Kayumova compared traditional and modern approaches to teaching national
musical art and notation knowledge. In these studies, the role of national
musical instruments and musical heritage was especially emphasized.

Foreign research
In foreign literature, much attention is paid to modern technologies and
interactive methods of teaching notation knowledge. Researchers such as J. R.
Davidson and G. Welch have analyzed the importance of multimedia tools and
virtual learning environments in developing music reading skills. Their research
proves the effectiveness of digital technologies in mastering notation knowledge.
Problems and opportunities
The following problems were identified as a result of the analysis of the
literature:
Outdated pedagogical methods and slowness in arousing students' interest.
Insufficient use of modern technologies to develop notation knowledge.
Weaknesses in combining domestic and foreign experiences.
The literature also shows broad opportunities for implementing innovative
approaches to the music education process:
Teaching music through interactive technologies, such as mobile
applications and digital platforms.
Increasing student interest through didactic games and gamification.
Improving curricula by combining national and international experiences in
music education.
This analysis serves as an important theoretical basis for developing
approaches that serve the effective mastery of notation knowledge in the
development of the music education system.
Discussion
Mastering notation knowledge in music education is an important factor
not only in increasing students' musical literacy, but also in developing their
creative potential. However, a number of difficulties are observed in the
successful mastery of this knowledge in today's educational process. A thorough
analysis of these problems and the development of effective solutions to them
are important for raising music education to a new level.
First of all, pedagogical approaches are of great importance in teaching
notation knowledge. Although traditional methods play an important role in
explaining the theoretical foundations of music, they may not meet the
requirements and needs of today's younger generation. Therefore, the need to
use modern technologies in the educational process is on the agenda. For
example, the use of multimedia resources and digital educational programs
allows students to master notes in visual and auditory form faster. This helps to
strengthen musical knowledge not only on a theoretical but also a practical level.

In addition, interactive games and gamification elements are emerging as
effective ways to engage students. Children are more enthusiastic about learning
notation through play, which in turn increases the effectiveness of education.
For example, technological opportunities such as practicing musical works
through digital platforms or joining a virtual orchestra increase students'
interest in music.
At the same time, teaching national musical culture and traditional
instruments also plays an important role in mastering notation knowledge. By
studying the rich musical heritage of Uzbekistan - maqom, doston and folk tunes,
students not only increase their musical literacy, but also develop a sense of
respect for their national identity. However, in this process, special attention
should be paid to the combination of national and modern methods. After all,
only through the synthesis of modern approaches and national values can high
results be achieved in music education.
Another important issue is the professional qualifications of teachers. In
order to effectively teach notation knowledge, teachers themselves must have
sufficient skills in the use of innovative technologies and interactive methods. In
this regard, it is necessary to introduce modern training and advanced training
programs in the training of music teachers.
In conclusion, the issue of mastering notation knowledge is multifaceted
and can be solved through the cooperation of all participants in education -
teachers, students and the education system. The combination of modern
technologies, national heritage and advanced pedagogical approaches will serve
to bring music education to a new level. This will serve as the basis for the
development of musical literacy, the upbringing of a creative younger generation
and the enrichment of national culture.
Conclusion
The mastery of notation knowledge in music education plays a key role in
the formation and development of students' musical literacy. During this study,
the problems encountered in teaching notation knowledge, their causes and
consequences, were analyzed, and proposals were developed to solve these
problems.
The analysis shows that traditional approaches do not fully meet the goals
and requirements of music education. Therefore, the use of modern
technologies, the implementation of interactive methods, and the integration of
national musical heritage into the teaching process are important. For the
effective mastery of notation knowledge, it is necessary to:

Introduce innovative pedagogical approaches;
Use multimedia resources and gamification elements;
Introduce national musical art and folk melodies more widely into
educational programs;
It was determined that it is necessary to organize trainings aimed at
improving the professional skills of teachers.
Also, by combining modern technologies and national values in the
educational process, the opportunity to interest students in music theory and
performance will expand. These approaches contribute to the development of
musical literacy, the upbringing of a creative generation, and the preservation of
the national musical heritage.
The results of the research serve as an important theoretical and practical basis
for developing practical recommendations for the development of musical
education in accordance with modern requirements. These approaches increase
students' interest in music, allowing them to develop in-depth knowledge and
creative skills.
