This paper presents an analysis of research papers carried
out according to the methodology of developing students' competencies. In the
context of the modern educational system, competencies play a key role in the
training of future specialists who are able to successfully adapt to the rapidly
changing labor market and social environment. Research in the field of pedagogy
and psychology confirms the importance of using a competence-based approach
to improve the quality of education and prepare students for real professional
activities.

Introduction
Modern education in conditions of rapid technological and social
development requires constant updating of methods and approaches in teaching
students. One of the most relevant areas is the development of students'
competencies, which allow them to successfully adapt to changing conditions in
the labor market and in society as a whole. Competencies are a set of knowledge,
skills and personal qualities that are necessary for successful professional
activity. In this regard, the study of methods for developing students'
competencies is an important part of pedagogical science.
The purpose of this study is to analyze scientific research carried out in the
field of methods of developing students' competencies, as well as to identify
effective methods and approaches aimed at improving the quality of education
and preparing students for real professional activities.
The main part
Theoretical foundations of students' competence development
The development of students' competencies is a process of formation of
students not only knowledge, but also practical skills necessary for successful
professional and social life. The competence-based approach in education has
become the basis for a number of scientific studies aimed at creating and

implementing methods that contribute to the formation of comprehensive
competencies among students.
The following key types of competencies are highlighted in the works of
researchers:
Professional competencies that include the knowledge and skills necessary
to perform specific professional tasks.
Personal competencies that relate to skills such as responsibility,
sociability, and stress tolerance.
Social competencies, including the ability to work in a team, resolve
conflicts, and communicate effectively.
Methods and approaches to the development of students'
competencies
Modern research in the field of pedagogy and psychology offers a variety of
approaches and methods for developing students' competencies. In particular,
the following techniques have been widely recognized:
Project-based learning, which allows students not only to study the
theoretical aspects of the discipline, but also to apply the acquired knowledge in
practice.
Innovative pedagogical technologies: the use of blended learning,
gamification, active teaching methods such as the case method, role-playing
games.
Competence assessment methods, including formative assessment,
portfolio, and peer review.

Assessment of students' competencies plays an important role in the
educational process. At the moment, the following assessment methods are
actively used:
Formative assessment, which includes regularly monitoring students'
progress and providing feedback during the learning process.
A portfolio is a way of accumulating student achievements, which allows
the teacher and the student to visually assess the development of competencies.
Peer review is an assessment of each other's work by students, which
contributes to the development of critical thinking and self-regulation.
The role of soft skills in the formation of competencies
The development of soft skills is becoming increasingly important in the
learning process. These are skills that are not directly related to professional
knowledge, but play a key role in students' success in the future. Research shows
that skills such as communication skills, leadership, teamwork, problem solving,
and creativity become no less important to a professional than technical
knowledge.

The analysis of research papers devoted to methods of developing students'
competencies shows that the use of various teaching methods, such as project-
based learning, gamification and blended learning, significantly contributes to
the formation of not only professional, but also social, personal competencies.
The use of innovative pedagogical technologies makes it possible to adapt the
educational process to modern labor market requirements and prepare students
for real professional life.
Assessment methods such as formative assessment and portfolio provide
more accurate data on student development than traditional exams, and the
introduction of soft skills into the educational process helps students

successfully integrate into the team and effectively solve problems in a
professional environment.
The paper examines the main methods used for the development of
competencies, such as project-based learning, gamification, blended learning
and the use of innovative pedagogical technologies. Special attention is paid to
competence assessment methods, including formative assessment, portfolio and
peer review, which contribute to more accurate tracking of students' progress
and the formation of necessary knowledge and skills.
Research on the development of soft skills, such as leadership,
communication skills, and teamwork, which become an integral part of the
educational process, is also analyzed. The work confirms that for the successful
preparation of students, it is important to integrate both professional and
personal competencies into the educational process.
The conclusions of the study emphasize the importance of an integrated
approach in the development and application of methods aimed at developing
students' competencies, which allows them to successfully realize their potential
in professional activities and become competitive specialists in the labor market.
Thus, the development of students' competencies is a multifaceted process
that requires an integrated approach and the introduction of various techniques
and technologies aimed at preparing students for successful professional
activities.
