More than 10 kinds of the basic pests have been revealed in the territory of various soil-climatic zones of the Republic. Among them are adventive kinds –the Colorado potato beetle, the whitefly and the potato moth. Biological features of kinds and seasonal dynamics of their development are established; the general tactic of protective methods with application of progressive means and receptions is developed. Precautionary receptions of potato tubers’ protection against potato moth are established and recommended.

The article discusses the issue of frost resistance of varieties and samples of winter wheat sown at different depths, in the extreme conditions of Karakalpakstan. Both a decrease and an excessive deepening of sowing leads to a significant decrease in their resistance to low temperatures, which negatively affects their subsequent survival in the spring-summer period. On the basis of the data, 2 varieties were selected, they turned out to be frost-resistant and differed in good yield and other valuable traits in comparison with the zoned varieties. They were transferred to the State Commission for Variety Testing of Agricultural Crops, under the name "Chimbay" and "Aral".

The article presents that the problem of preserving, restoring and reproducing the Karakulic gene pool of sheep, including animals of the most valuable sheep surkhurkhandaryin type, as well as a fundamental improvement in the quality of rare and original karakulian skins, the development and improvement of breeding methods in the farm and targeted work It has important scientific and practical importance in the development of the industry of the karakutyrmedy in Uzbekistan.

At present, due to changing ecological situation in the country, unfavourable weather conditions, uneven operation of industrial enterprises, especially the use of chemicals in agriculture, etc. (Pollution, increased waste, weakened control) a certain amount of different elements in the composition of food.
