INTRODUCTION
Due to the need to raise the higher education
system in our republic to a new qualitative level by
improving the theoretical and methodological
aspects of art-specific education in higher
education institutions based on advanced foreign
experiences in the world, certain reforms are being
implemented in the field. In this regard, the
essence of the fundamental reforms being
implemented in the education sector of our
republic requires the computerization of all areas
and processes of the education system, the
introduction of modern pedagogical and
information technologies into the educational
process, the improvement of its scientific and
theoretical foundations and the strengthening of
its practical directions.
Students of architecture, design, engineering
graphics and fine arts must have a deep knowledge
of fine arts terminology, be able to create works of
fine arts using various artistic materials, and have
a thorough knowledge of modern trends in fine
arts, the history and theory of painting, the lives
and work of great masters of art, and their famous
works of art. Therefore, students should be aware
that a mistake in determining color leads to
incorrect coloring, so the correct perception of
color is the main task of the artist. It is also clear
from this that color and tone are interrelated
concepts. For an artist, along with form (colors),
expression is also important in creating a work. At
the same time, the goal itself is not enough to
create a good work (it should not be forgotten that
the worst works of art are created by serious
people). In art, a good idea and a serious goal are
not an achievement. They are not considered
important for creating a work. The most important
thing is to express this idea in color. Every creative
work done by a person is a work of some kind. The
work of art itself should be noteworthy as a
"separate work", regardless of the problem it
represents.

It is also useful for future artists to know that the
trained eye in daylight can distinguish 180 shades
of color, 10 levels of saturation. The human eye,
whose thinking has developed, can distinguish
about 360 shades of color. Colors are divided into
achromatic and chromatic colors. Achromatic
(white and black) colors differ from each other
only in their relative hues.
Figure 2
Chromatic colors are all colors of color. These colors are distinguished by their brightness, which

is different from gray, which is an achromatic color.
Figure 3
If gray is added to a chromatic color, it becomes
dull and its brightness changes. Colors can be
warm or cold. Also, in the process of working on a
still life, we will encounter contrasting colors. Any
achromatic color appears lighter among dark
colors, and darker among light colors. This is called
color contrast. The change in color due to the
influence of the adjacent color is called color
contrast.
Undoubtedly, color is of decisive importance in
realistic painting. To learn colors, a novice artist
should first practice making color sketches in the
same colors (grisaille). A color sketch (from the
French etude - study; in the sense of labor, done
from nature) is an exercise in which the artist
improves his professional skills, in order to create
an attractive, realistic image.
