THE POSSIBILITIES OF ULTRASOUND IMAGING IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF ACUTE IDIOPATHIC SCROTAL EDEMA IN CHILDREN

Farkhod Shavkatovich Mavlyanov, Shavkat Khojamkulovich Mavlyanov, Firdavs Mukhiddinovich Tukhtaev

Despite many years of experience in the use of ultrasound in the diagnosis of acute testicular ischemia (AISE) in children, the full potential of this technique remains insufficiently studied. As part of a prospective controlled study involving 142 patients with emergency genital disorders, ultrasound was performed for Acute idiopathic scrotal edema. Ultrasound showed differences in the image of the scrotum organs in boys with AISE, depending on the duration of the disease. When using color Dopplerography, changes in perfusion were detected, such as the absence or decrease in blood flow. The localization of the inflammatory process was determined solely by the results of ultrasound of the scrotum organs. The results obtained suggest that with a decrease in blood flow in the testicles with a more pronounced degree or with a longer period of torsion, pronounced changes on the part of the scrotum were observed.

PAPAYA'S PROTECTIVE POWER: ASSESSING THE ANTIBACTERIAL EFFICACY OF ETHANOL EXTRACT FROM PAPAYA LEAVES

Sulastri Nasution

This study investigates the antibacterial efficacy of ethanol extract derived from papaya leaves (Carica papaya L.) gel against P. acnes, a bacterium associated with acne vulgaris. Utilizing agar diffusion assays and minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) determination, the antibacterial properties of the papaya leaf extract were evaluated. The results reveal significant inhibitory effects of the extract against P. acnes growth, suggesting its potential as a natural antimicrobial agent for acne management. Insights gained from this research contribute to the exploration of alternative treatments for acne vulgaris.

JUICY RESEARCH: TOMATO VS. STRAWBERRY JUICE IMPACT ON HEMOGLOBIN LEVELS

Javanese Ginting

This study investigates the impact of tomato juice and strawberry juice consumption on hemoglobin levels in third trimester pregnant women. Anemia during pregnancy is a significant health concern globally, and dietary interventions, including fruit juices rich in vitamins and minerals, are often recommended to address low hemoglobin levels. However, the comparative efficacy of different fruit juices on hemoglobin levels remains unclear. In this comparative study, pregnant women in their third trimester are randomly assigned to consume either tomato juice or strawberry juice daily for a specified duration. Hemoglobin levels are assessed before and after the intervention period to evaluate the effects of juice consumption on maternal hemoglobin status. Statistical analyses are conducted to compare the efficacy of tomato juice versus strawberry juice in improving hemoglobin levels among pregnant women.

CURRENT VIEWS ON THE STATUS OF VENTRAL HERNIA SURGERY

Dusiyarov Mukhammad Mukumbaevich, Xujabaev Safarboy Tuxtabayevich

Abdominal wall hernia repair is one of the most common operations performed by modern surgeons. The management of patients with PVH can be extremely challenging due to a number of factors including obesity, prior hernia repair, previous mesh placement, and other variables. The management of patients with PVH has changed significantly over the past 20 years due to both technological advances and improvements in surgical approaches.Key factors in successful outcome include modification of preoperative risk factors such as smoking cessation and weight loss, selection of mesh appropriate for the type of hernia and planned mesh placement, and wide mesh overlap beyond the edges of the hernia defect. In these patients, new techniques such as transabdominal release and separation of componento.

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF LAPAROSCOPY IN THE PROGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF ACUTE PANCREATITIS

Хo'jabayev Safarboy Tuxtabayevich, Xoliev Obidjon Odil ug`li, Shonazarov Iskandar Shonazarovich, Murodullayev Sardorbek Olimjon ug`li

A study was conducted on 102 patients with acute destructive pancreatitis and enzymatic peritonitis, who underwent laparoscopy within the first 72 hours after the onset of the disease. The results of this study led to the development of a scoring system for assessing pathological changes in the abdominal cavity, which allows predicting the severity of the disease. It turned out that the results of laparoscopy with a scoring of changes in the abdominal cavity largely coincide with the assessment of the severity of acute pancreatitis performed using computed tomography using the Balthazar scale (the sensitivity of the method was 84.0% and 86.3%, respectively).

TREATMENT TACTICS OF CONSERVATIVE AND OPERATIVE METHODS OF TREATMENT DEPENDING ON CHANGES IN BLOOD COAGULATION FACTORS IN PATIENTS WITH DEEP BURNS

Yunusov Oybek Turayevich, Yunusova Guzal Faizullayevna, Saidullaev Zayniddin Yakhshiboevich, Djurayev Alisher Anorboyevich

In order to increase the volume of surgery in burn units, it is necessary to improve the process of preparing burn patients for surgery. Necrectomy and autodermoplasty are observed at blood loss of 0.5-1.5 cm2/mL of wound surface. At this time, the volume of adequate infusion and hemotransfusion at all stages of burn disease is determined empirically. The existing methods of necrectomy in burns are considered to be a preparatory stage for necrectomy and autodermoplasty, the time of their performance is observed in case of such complications as bleeding, hemostasis, microcirculation disturbance, removal of the scar from the skin surface for autograft preparation leads to increased bleeding. We have developed a technique of application of polycomposite polymer based on cellulose derivatives in thermal lesions.
