MODERN METHODS OF HERNIOPLASTY TREATMENT FOR COMPRESSED ABDOMINAL HERNIAS AFTER SURGERY

Khursanov Yokubjon Erkin ug’li, Kurbaniyazov Zafarjon Babajanovich

Globally, pneumonia is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in children under 5 years of age. While the majority of pneumonia-related deaths in children are mostly in developing countries, the burden of the disease is large and there are significant health-related costs associated with pneumonia in developed countries. This article discusses the causes of pneumonia in children. Untreated pneumonia is aggravated by the development of pulmonary and extrapulmonary complications.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN COGNITIVE AND LOCOMO-TOR IMPAIRMENTS IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC CEREBRAL ISCHEMIA

J.A. Nazarova, M.B. Urinov, O.Kh. Parmanov

This article presents an analysis of internal correlations between locomotor and cognitive impairments in men and women suffering from moderate cognitive impairment of vascular origin. 96 patients (50 men and 46 wom-en) were examined using the MMSE, Frontal Dysfunction Battery and Tinetti test.

CLINICAL AND NEUROLOGICAL FEATURES DEPENDING ON THE SIDE OF LOCALIZATION IN PATIENTS WITH ISCHEMIC STROKE

M.O. Yuldasheva, M.A. Bakhadirova, J.A. Nazarova

In recent years, research into functional interhemispheric asymmetry has been intensively carried out in our country and abroad. An analysis of publications related to this topic shows that the problem of interhemispheric asymmetry is associated with some fundamental properties of living matter and is present at almost all stages of the evolutionary ladder. In the 30-40s of the 20th century, the study of functional asymmetry in healthy people began. The identified asymmetries were divided into three main types: mental, motor and sensory.

ANIMAL BEHAVIOR AND MEMORY: EXPLORING THE INTERPLAY

Mykhailo Honchar

The relationship between animal behavior and memory processes is a complex and dynamic interplay that has long fascinated researchers across various disciplines. This paper explores the intricate connections between animal behavior changes and memory processes, shedding light on how alterations in behavior patterns can influence memory formation, retention, and retrieval in different animal species. Drawing upon research from ethology, neuroscience, and cognitive psychology, we examine the mechanisms underlying these interactions and the factors that modulate memory performance in response to behavioral modifications. By elucidating the interplay between animal behavior and memory, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of cognitive processes in non-human organisms and their adaptive significance in natural and laboratory settings.

SCIENTIFIC UPDATE ON THE THERAPEUTIC MANAGEMENT OF ROTATOR CUFF INJURIES: SYSTEMATIC REVIEW WITH META-ANALYSIS OF RANDOMIZED CLINICAL TRIALS

Matheus Pedroso Cavalcanti de Souza, Renan Toledo Curti, Bianca Gabriella de Oliveira

To evaluate the effectiveness of operative and non-operative management in the treatment of rotator cuff injuries. Methodology: This systematic review was conducted according to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines. A search was conducted using the online Cochrane Library, EMBASE, CINAHL, Medline and PubMed databases, using the following terms: Rotator Cuff Injuries OR Rotator Cuff AND Orthopedic Procedures. Results: 688 patients were included, of whom 479 underwent surgical treatment and 209 non-operative treatment. The studies analyzed in this systematic review showed better results for the VAS (Visual analog scale), the Constant Murley Score and for limb range of motion in patients who underwent surgical treatment. Conclusion: Surgical treatment for rotator cuff injuries was associated with a better prognosis than physiotherapeutic treatment.

UNVEILING A RARITY: LIGHT CHAIN DISEASE COINCIDING WITH PURE RED CELL APLASIA

Amaya Ghosh, Raman Bhattacharyya

This paper presents a unique case report of concurrent Light Chain Disease (LCD) and Pure Red Cell Aplasia (PRCA), two rare hematological disorders seldom observed together. Light Chain Disease is a plasma cell disorder characterized by the overproduction of abnormal immunoglobulin light chains, while Pure Red Cell Aplasia is a rare bone marrow failure syndrome resulting in the selective reduction or absence of red blood cell precursors. The co-occurrence of these conditions poses diagnostic and therapeutic challenges due to their distinct pathophysiologies and clinical presentations. Through a detailed examination of the patient's medical history, diagnostic workup, and treatment outcomes, this case sheds light on the complexities associated with managing rare hematological disorders with overlapping manifestations.
