Peace and international tranquility refer to relations based on refraining
from the use of force in foreign policy, fulfilling assumed obligations, and adhering to
commitments enshrined in international treaties. As the world and society develop, new
and modern methods and strategies are being developed and implemented to resolve

disputes and conflicts that arise between international actors. The following factors are
taken into account:
- Causes and sources of conflicts in the early 21st century
- Participants of the conflicts
- The nature and content of the conflicts
- The evolving role of international organizations in conflict resolution
To maintain peace, preventive measures and resolution strategies are increasingly
relying on economic and financial tools rather than solely on diplomacy. Humanitarian
operations also play a significant role in the peaceful resolution of conflicts. Since gaining
independence, Uzbekistan has pursued a foreign policy based on the necessity of
maintaining stability in the world and the Central Asian region. The country adheres to and
remains committed to all international legal norms for peacekeeping.
What do we, the youth, need most? Peace, calm, and tranquility every day. A home
or a country that loses peace cannot remain stable.
On May 9, widely celebrated as “Remembrance and Appreciation Day,” the memory
of brave sons who died fighting for peace during the war and labor front between 1941–
1945 is honored. The valor of elderly veterans who served during the war and on the labor
front is also deeply respected, reflecting our nation’s traditional values. Celebrating this
day as a national holiday since 1999 stems from these noble intentions. As our ancestors
said, we are a peace-loving people. This ideology is part of our great national heritage,
where the value of peace is always emphasized.
My father’s grandparents told me stories about this. According to them, 604,052 of
our fellow citizens returned disabled from the warfront, and more than 450,000 died in
bloody battles. Even now, many among us bore the hardships of labor behind the frontlines.
Caring for the elderly, checking on them, and supporting them in every way has
become a tradition in our trade unions. To appropriately commemorate this day, from May

6 to 8 of this year, the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and
Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republican Council of the Trade
Union of Information Technology and Mass Communication Workers plan to visit and
support war and labor front veterans, elderly citizens, and participants of the Afghan
war.Remembering those who gave their lives for today’s peaceful life is our highest duty.
After all, “A person is sacred, and remembrance is holy.”
The independent people and state of Uzbekistan support peace and harmony. Since
gaining independence, we have celebrated “Remembrance and Appreciation Day” widely
since 1999. We, the youth, must honor and support those who served behind the frontlines.
At this point, we recall the words of my schoolteacher: when we speak of national
memory, we imagine the great ancestors who fought for this people — from Amir Temur
and Mirzo Ulugbek to Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. “Remembrance and Appreciation
Day” has truly become a national public holiday. On this day, we see many people across
Uzbekistan visiting cemeteries. we also intend to visit the grave of my grandfather, Amir
Fayzulla.
When we visited the Remembrance Square in 2021, tears came to my eyes reading
the inscriptions on the wall. It stated that not a single fallen soul in battle remains unknown.
Each had parents, siblings, loved ones, and neighbors.
We must honor the memory of the fallen and value those still among us.
In conclusion, what we want to say is — may no harm ever come to my homeland.
We sincerely pray that the skies of my independent Uzbekistan remain clear and that its
sun always shines brightly.
The memory of the heroes who bravely fought against fascism, endured hardships,
and sacrificed their lives for the freedom long dreamed of by our people will forever live

in our hearts. We bow in respect to the souls of national heroes who died defending the
homeland and striving for the freedom of the people.
Peace and tranquility are the foundation of progress.
