Reports of The Achievements of The Life Branches in
The Newspaper Language

Abstract:
The newspaper should be able to convey to its audience a wide variety of topics, using every fact in the
operative and literary language. It is necessary to demonstrate the possibilities of the newspaper language, based
on the proper use of tools that provide impact.

Introduction:
The аrе of globalization has given new
responsibilities to each country. You should always be
active in developin
g the branches. That’s why it has a
significant impact on the mass media. Wide society had
the opportunity to receive information from the world
at the same time. Mass media representatives are
required to carry out operative work in delivering the
message. In such a process, only journalists with high
experience, language skills, education, spiritual world,
and intellectual understanding can keep their audience
stable. Therefore, the newspapers that appear as the
most accurate information dissemination tools in the
field of mass media has not lost their power even in the
field of information. The reason is that, thanks to
newspapers, today's daily life is delivered to future
children in the form of concise, clear and correct facts.
In order to wake up the nation and develop it, the great
editors with a touch of modernity started their work
with the most accurate newspaper design. With the
help of such kind of newspapers “Таржимон”
(“Translator”), “Ойина” (“Mirror”), “Тараққий”
(“Progressive”), “Садойи Туркистон” (“Voice of
Turkistan”), “Садойи Фарғона” (“Voice of Fargona”),
“Нажот” (“Salvation”), “Ҳуррият” (“Freedom”), “Ал
-
ислоҳ” (“Al
-
Islah”), they tried to improve the spiritual
world and the level of literacy of the wider society. The
newspaper and its language have an important role in
conveying events in the socio-political context. That is
why new newspapers are being developed in our
country. In particular, the newspaper “Янги
Ўзбекистон” (“New Uzbekistan”) was updated on
January 25, 2020. Salim Doniyorov was elected as the
chief editor of the newspaper. On December 22, 2023,
at the expanded meeting of the Spiritual and
Educational Council, our President supported the idea
of developing the newspaper “Жадид” (“Jadid”)
among the publications that sought to improve the
national development of our ancestors and unite
intellectuals and leaders and he put forward the
proposal to publish this newspaper on the first day of
the new year. On the anniversary of 2024, "Jadid"
newspaper reached the hands of readers. The editor-
in-chief of the newspaper is Iqbol Mirzo. Therefore,
newspapers are always in the focus of the wider
society.
The newspaper should be able to convey to its
audience a wide variety of topics, using every fact in the
operative and literary language. It is necessary to
demonstrate the possibilities of the newspaper
language, based on the proper use of tools that provide
impact. When we learn the skill of using tools that
provide impact in newspaper language, we will use
many examples. Comparison, synecdoche, metonymy,
metaphor, hyperbole, paraphrase and proverbs.
Among them we began to require a special analysis for
the paraphrases. When we look at the informational,
analytical and artistic-publicistic genre materials
presented in the 2012-
2023 issues of “Еркин

, it is noticeable that they
were able to skillfully use language tools. Periphrasis is
present in materials aimed at expressing a variety of
topics. These examples, which are often reported in the
newspaper, can be divided into a number of topics.
1. Paraphrases that are productively and consistently
used in the newspaper
. Such paraphrases are often
used in newspaper texts. Information-analytical
material is productively used in materials of artistic and
publishing genre. For example: “When the time came,
it would be impolite not to tell about the spouse of such
a person” («Мәўрити келген екен, усындай
инсанның өмирлик жолдасы ҳаққында айтып
кетпеўимиз әдепсизлик болар» («Қарақалпақстан
жаслары» 2014.08.05. №21)). “Especially, this year,
his spouse Gulnara, who is celebrating her fiftieth
birthday, will bring not only her family, but also her
relatives, colleagues, and friends great joy.” («Әсиресе,
быйыл елиўинши көклемин өмирлик жолдасы
Гулнара, үш азаматы менен күтип алып атырғаны

spouse to live a sweet life and enjoy the fun and joy of
my sons, daughters and grandchildren in my old age.”

paraphrase of a spouse is often used. In such genres as
report, article, portrait essay, court essay, this
paraphrase is used instead of the word “wife” or

The paraphrases in the examples, navel blood was
spilled and my navel blood was dropped were used
instead of the words Motherland, my country, my
village, my place. “Every day that passes brings us
closer to our greatest and dearest holiday holiday - the

the perephrase our greatest and dearest holiday is used
instead of the word Independence Day.
2. Periphrasis reinterpreting a specific thing, name,
term
. In newspaper language, there are also
paraphrases that explain the meaning of terms. Such
paraphrases can effectively convey the text. For
example: “A child is the most valuable wealth of a
person, everything, a continuation, a light that never
goes out, a light on the trail, a hope.” («Перзент –
адамның ең бийбаҳа байлығы, пүткил барлығы,
даўамшысы, шырағын сөндирмейтуғын, изиндеги
нуры, исеними» («Қарақалпақстан жаслары»
2014.08.05. №21)). “The joy of every family is a child”

profession and to create opportunities for them in this

yze the paraphrases in these examples
taken from newspaper texts, the paraphrase the most
valuable wealth of a person, the joy of every family with
the meaning child, period of our life which is rich in
improvements, a difficult transition; it is a place where
a person educates themselves with the meaning youth,
the builders of the future with the meaning young
people, the language of any song and music with the
meaning dance, one of the most beloved songs of our
people with the meaning "Aksungil", a fast horse, the
way to show your and our destiny with the meaning
time. Therefore, the words child, youth, young people,
dance, song, time in the examples are conveyed
through paraphrases. Periphrasis is connected with
explanatory lexical units to highlight a specific term. For
example: "If the author's story "Ak Bashkur" is
presented as a symbol of our traditional culture, as a
scientist, he contributed to bringing the poem "Edige",
which was the great spiritual memory of our people, to
a wide audience, regardless of the ideology of the
Soviet era.” («Жазыўшының «Ақ басқур» гүрриңи
дәстүрий мәдениятымыздың символы сыпатында
берилген
болса,
ол
илимпаз

people”, “Timur tuzuklari” are Universal Declaration of
Human Rights Ideas.” (««Авесто», «Фазыл адамлар
шәҳәри», «Темур тузиклери», Пүткил жәҳән инсан
ҳуқықлары Декларациясы идеялары («Еркин
Қарақалпақстан» 2022.16.08. №97)). “Mirza Uligbek,
Muhammed Babur, Shah Jahan, Muhammed Alikhan
from the eastern rulers took copies of these documents
and
used
them
as
handbooks.”

is a fair code. The state and its governing norms, the
ideas promoted in them have not lost their importance

r texts, such
paraphrases are linked to specific terms. In the first
example, "Ak Bashkur" was highlighted as a symbol of
our traditional culture. In the second example, Kydyr
was able to understand the term the term "Kilchinak"
is clear with the paraphrase a country of Kidir Darigan.
In the third example, if we emphasize the series of
ideas of the Universal Human Rights Declaration as a
paraphrase, it is stated that they were written in
relation to the idea and theme of the books "Avesto",
"City of Virtuous People", " Timur tuzuklari ". In the
fourth example, Eastern rulers - Mirza Ulygbek,
Muhammad Babur, Shah Jahan, Muhammad Alikhan.
In the fifth example, it is emphasized that a fair code is
"Timur tuzuklari". Therefore, paraphrases were
skillfully used in the articles.
3. Paraphrases describing a person
. In the newspaper
texts, the person has been able to be explained well,
his/her unique abilities, his/her work, and the hours
he/she worked with the help of paraphrases. For
example: “Our beautiful girl
with a bright voice
Mirzagul Sapaeva (within a few days, she became the
owner of the title "People's Artist of Uzbekistan".)
came on the stage and began to sing in a quiet, pleasant
but juicy voice.” («Сахнаға сулыў, бүлбил ҳаўазлы

Karakalpak, Kazakh, and Kirgiz literatures, Khalila

№6)). The examples a golden bridge of Uzbek,
Karakalpak, Kazakh, and Kirgiz literatures are
addressed to Nasir Fazilov.
4. Ordinal numbers are as the paraphrases
. Ordinal
figures used in paraphrasing are also aimed at clearly
explaining the facts to the newspaper reader. With the
help of such paraphrases, it was possible to provide
information about the reforms in the fields of the
achievement of each person. For example: “In 1967,
when the Karakalpakstan branch of the Uzbekistan
Institute of Pedagogical Sciences was opened in Nokis,
a certain honor was given to Professor Jumek Orinbaev,
who served as its first director. And his primacy is he is
the
first
doctor
of
pedagogic
sciences
in
Karakal

ll of us in
the art of Uzbek theater is the tragedy "Atabiyzar" by
M. Behbudi. In these examples, we can see paraphrases
made by connecting the first word. Analyzing the
paraphrases in the examples, it is obvious that the
possibilities of the newspaper language are very wide.
In Nukus highlights that Professor Jumek Orinbayev is
the first director of the Karakalpakstan branch of the
Research Institute of Pedagogical Sciences of
Uzbekistan, the first doctor of pedagogic sciences in
Karakalpakstan. We understand Farabiy with the
paraphrase "A second teacher". We know Najim
Davkaraev as the first doctor of science of our country.
This context begins with the first doctor of science of
our country, and later, without repeatedly using this
lexical unit, it conveys to the newspaper reader that our
academician is Marat Nurmuhammedov, winner of the
Asian Games in boxing Alisher Auezbaev, world
champion in Muay Thai Yerkinbai Kutybayev. In the
next two examples, we can paraphrase the first drama,
the first drama familiar to all of us in the art of Uzbek
theater. These paraphrases are connected to the lines
of the tragedy "Atabiyzar" ("Padarkush") by M. Behbudi
and achieved artistic development.
In short, the topic of paraphrases in newspaper
language is different. In informational genres,
analytical genres, and artistic-publicistic genres of
materials, it is felt that the messages conveyed in the
texts have increased, interest has increased, and
paraphrases have been used coherently for the
purpose of giving an expressive, informative
description. Newspaper language attracts its readers
only if it can convey every fact well. For this, newspaper
language should be able to effectively use its
possibilities. When we look at a number of issues of
newspapers, it is noticeable that there are a lot of
paraphrases in the texts, which are considered one of

the artistic tools of the language, as we have analyzed
in the examples. We can consider this as one of the
issues that should be studied in newspaper language.
