Criminogenic Factors of Female Criminality: Legal and Social Analysis
This article systematically examines the criminogenic factors influencing the formation of female criminality and reveals the legal and social mechanisms of their interaction. The study is based on content analysis of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, relevant by-laws, Supreme Court plenary decisions, and court verdicts issued between 2018 and 2024. The data were grouped by gender, age, type of crime, motive, and sentencing criteria, and covariance analysis was conducted using the STATA-17 package. Age-Related Hormonal Changes and Their Impact on Psychophysiological State
Across the human lifespan endocrine rhythms undergo predictable transitions that reorganise brain circuitry, autonomic balance and behaviour. Pubertal gonadarche, reproductive senescence in women and the gradual androgen decline in men constitute three major inflection points. Yet their psychophysiological sequelae—spanning affect regulation, cognitive trajectory and stress responsivity—remain incompletely mapped in Central Asian populations. The present convergent-methods study combines (i) a systematic appraisal of articles published from 2023-2025 and (ii) original cross-sectional data from 312 healthy Uzbek participants aged 10-75 years. Serum estradiol, progesterone, testosterone and cortisol were assayed; concurrent electrodermal activity, heart-rate variability and event-related potentials indexed autonomic and cortical responsiveness. Multivariate analyses revealed stage-specific patterns: heightened cortisol reactivity and amygdala-potentiated startle during early puberty, oestrogen-linked preservation of verbal memory in peri-menopausal women, and diminished vagal tone paralleling late-life testosterone decline. Extreme menopausal ages (< 40; > 55 years) predicted lower baseline cognition independent of education. Findings integrate global evidence with regional data, underscoring that age-related hormonal shifts are key modulators of psychophysiological health and should guide preventive interventions.
The Role of Mutual Communication in Reducing Anxiety Levels in Children Within the Family
Effective intrafamilial communication has long been recognised as a cornerstone of children’s socio-emotional development, yet its specific influence on childhood anxiety remains under-explored. This study investigates how reciprocal, emotionally attuned dialogue between parents and children moderates state–trait anxiety in middle-childhood (8-12 years). Drawing on attachment theory and family systems theory, we conducted a mixed-methods investigation combining a quasi-experimental communication-skills intervention with quantitative psychometric assessment and qualitative thematic analysis. One hundred and sixty four parent–child dyads across two urban public-school districts were randomly assigned to an eight-week dialogic coaching programme or to a wait-list control. Anxiety was measured with the State–Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children (STAI-C) at baseline, post-intervention and three-month follow-up, while semi-structured interviews explored subjective changes in family climate. Results showed a significant reduction in both state and trait anxiety for children in the intervention group, with large effect sizes (Cohen’s d = 0.83 and 0.71 respectively) sustained at follow-up. Qualitative findings revealed enhanced emotional literacy, greater coherence in parent–child narratives and improved conflict-resolution strategies. These outcomes highlight the protective function of reciprocal communication against anxiety and endorse family-focused preventive strategies.
