To study errors in the diagnosis and treatment of acute toothache in the prehospital period and their consequences. Material and methods: In 2019-2020 under our supervision in the clinic of adult surgical dentistry of the Tashkent State Dental Institute, there were 441 patients with odontogenic inflammatory diseases of the PMO, 90% of them were admitted to the clinic for emergency indications. Results: After hospitalization in the department, premedication was performed in some patients according to indications to perform the operation of opening the phlegmon and removing the causative tooth (s). The patient remained in the department for an average of 6-7 days. Within 3-4 days after discharge, the patients underwent dressing in the clinic of the MCS, then this procedure was performed in the clinic at the place of residence for 5-7 days. According to estimates, only the average cost of drugs used in the treatment of phlegmon was 402,400 soums. Conclusions: It is important for dentists to form clear ideas about the dynamics of the spread of a purulent inflammatory process.
