USING FORESIGHT TECHNOLOGIES TO IMPROVE INFORMATION
SECURITY STABILITY IN THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY

ANNOTATION
This article provides information on security threats and their impact
based on foresight technologies for information security and the sustainability of
the digital economy. Therefore, in this article, the factors of the development of
the digital economy, the principles of information security in Foresight
technologies, and the strategic approaches necessary to ensure its stability, are
widely covered.

In the 21st century, the digital economy has become an integral part of the
world economic system. The acceleration of technological development, the
wide spread of the Internet and innovative solutions of information technologies
have created a new form of global economy. The digital economy is taking a
central place in production processes, trading systems, financial services and
public administration. However, the rapid development of the digital economy
has also created new challenges. In particular, ensuring information security has
become one of the urgent issues of the modern era. The increase in the volume
of information flow, the widespread use of electronic documents, online
payment systems and personal data have increased the need for data protection.
Therefore, a comprehensive approach to information security is necessary to
ensure the stability of the digital economy. Any participants in the digital
economy-government agencies, businesses, entrepreneurs, and regular citizens-
are included in information security. The digital economy is guaranteed to be
more stable the more meticulously designed and executed security measures
are. From individual foresight to the institutional foresight that exists now, the
evolution of foresight has undergone a radical change. With a move from
forecasting to scenario thinking, foresight has evolved to meet a variety of
difficulties since its inception in defense-related endeavors following World War
II. The 1980s saw a shift toward innovation systems that prioritized cross-sector

cooperation. With the emergence of global issues like climate change, foresight
exercises expanded to include a range of stakeholders. The method became
integrated with the advent of Systemic Foresight Methodology, which
acknowledged the world's systemic nature. Over a variety of time periods,
foresight has developed to handle both the short and long term futures.
Other countries that have embraced foresight technologies include Japan,
Australia, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, in addition to the traditional
strongholds of the USA and Europe. According to the 21st Century Foresight,
technologies like virtual reality, blockchain, and artificial intelligence will form
new horizons. Advocates of foresight-on-site encourage integrating foresight
into everyday activities, involving a variety of stakeholders in a collaborative
effort.
Foresight technologies
are a set of scientific and methodological
approaches used to predict future trends, define prospects and make strategic
decisions. It is based on the following basic principles:
- Development of possible future scenarios.
- Identifying long-term trends.
- Analysis of technological, economic and social factors.
Information security and its relevance
With the development of digital technologies in the 21st century, the problem of
information security has become a global issue. The following are significant
risks in this area:
• Cyber attacks.
• Leakage of confidential information.
• Hacking activities using artificial intelligence.
• Destabilization of digital infrastructure.
One of the most urgent problems today is precisely some shortcomings in
ensuring information security that have not been solved. Nevertheless, the use
of digital technologies has significantly increased in the digitalization of the
modern economy. The sustainable development of the digital economy, in turn,
information security issues related to the level of protection of data and systems
are of great importance not only for companies and other organizations, but also
for each user. There are several security threats in the digital economy. The
most common of them is a
cyber-attack.
In addition, illegal interference in
financial transactions, system failure through viruses and trojans are also
security threats in the digital economy. Threats from this cause serious damage
to government organizations, lead to loss of customer confidence and have a

negative impact on the stability of the economy. In order to ensure economic
stability, it is necessary to protect data, to increase personnel who know modern
technologies, and to regularly modernize antiviruses and protection systems.
One of the primary responsibilities of information security is to prevent
fraud in online payment systems, limit unauthorized access to information, and
safeguard customers' financial and personal information. Information security
and the stability of the digital economy depend on developing digital literacy,
being attentive, understanding virtual risk, reducing information overload,
ensuring rest periods, using trustworthy information sources, and resisting
negative influences.
Information security with foresight technologies
The following are
some ways that Forsite technology can improve the stability of information
security:

analyzed together with their likelihood.

Each provider and user should give security issues careful consideration,
since the aforementioned suggestions and tactics are meant to improve cyber
security and the long-term growth of the digital economy. This approach is
critical to success and sustainability in the digital world. In today's rapidly
developing era, digital services, online commerce, electronic payment systems
and other innovative technologies are creating new opportunities in the

economy. At the same time, our society faces a number of problems in using
these opportunities, that is, the insufficient level of information security.
Technological security measures - technological measures for information
security include:

learning and artificial intelligence.

International and national cooperation: the development of information
sharing among nations and security bodies.

Training: Instruction in foresight approaches for information security
specialists.

The creation of laws and rules controlling the use of Foresight
technologies is one way to strengthen the regulatory legal framework.
Organizations' information security systems are strengthened and
confidentiality is ensured when these guidelines are fully followed.
Decision-makers and policy planners are empowered by foresight to
employ fresh approaches to discussing, formulating, and carrying out strategic
plans that are in line with the developing future. The phrase "foresight" refers to
a broad category of creative approaches to strategic planning, policymaking, and
solution design that engage with possible futures rather than forecasting or
predicting the present. According to one definition, foresight is "a methodical,
collaborative, medium-to-long-term vision-building and future-intelligence-
gathering process aimed at enabling present-day decisions and mobilizing joint
action." In conclusion, it may be claimed that information security and the
stability of the digital economy in the twenty-first century are strongly
intertwined. It is strategically important to build a comprehensive security
system, encourage technological advancement, and train staff. Additionally, the
development of global cyber security policy and the reinforcement of
international collaboration will guarantee the long-term growth of the digital
economy. One of the primary drivers of economic growth in the digital age is the
creation of novel solutions, the encouragement of technological advancements,

and the attraction of investments. Foresight technologies serve as a strategic
tool in ensuring information security in the modern world. Their importance is
reflected in the following:
- Foresight technologies help identify information security threats and
assess their likelihood of development. This lays the groundwork for developing
appropriate strategies for future cyber threats.
- Long-term planning: To ensure information security, Foresight
technologies employ methodical planning. It is beneficial to be ready for both
known and unexpected threats in the future.
- Innovative strategy: New technologies in the information security space
are encouraged to be introduced and integrated by Foresight Technologies.
Cutting-edge technologies like machine learning and artificial intelligence
improve the effectiveness of threat detection and response.
- Allocating resources rationally: By prioritizing information security
initiatives, the foresight approach enables efficient administration of both
technical and financial resources.
- Creating a culture of cyber security: Forsite not only takes into account
technological solutions, but also social and cultural factors, and serves to
increase public awareness of information security. In short, foresight
technologies consider information security not only as a technical issue, but as a
strategic and systemic issue. It is an effective tool for minimizing current and
future risks, creating a stable security system, and harmonizing technological
and human factors. Therefore, foresight should be considered an integral part of
a modern information security system.
