Abstract
This article analyzes the methods of forming the speech of characters in a
work of art and giving them individuality. The language of the hero is an
important tool that reveals his worldview, feelings and personal qualities. If all
the characters speak in the same voice, in the same style, the work loses its
naturalness and variety of characters. The article covers the issues of lexical
selection, use of dialects and dialects, speech style, sentence construction,
speech intonation, and giving the hero a spiritual and social identity by choosing
language elements suitable for the character in creating an individual speech.
These methods increase the realism of the work, the level of impact on the
reader and serve to create a bright character of each character.
Key words:
speech character, lexical choice, speech style, dialect and
dialect, creating an image, speech type, artistic portrait, stylistic expression, our
social language, literary language individualism
Introduction:
Fiction, as an art form that expresses the complex aspects of
human thinking, feelings and social life, reflects reality through images. These
images are formed not only through actions and thoughts, but also through
speech and take a firm place in the student's thinking. The hero's speech is a
vivid expression of his inner world, worldview, social affiliation, level of
education, and even his mental state. Therefore, one of the main tasks of the
author of a work of art is to create individual speech characteristics of each
character.
If all the characters speak in the same voice, the same language and style,
their differences will disappear, the images will be confused and the artistic
power of the work will be reduced. On the contrary, if each character has his
own voice, his own language, his own way of thinking, he appears to the reader
as a real person. In ensuring this individuality, such linguistic means as lexical
choice, sentence structure, idiom, dialect elements, oral expressions, speech
style, emotional palette, and even pauses play an important role.
Creating individuality in the hero's speech is not only a matter of language,
but also a process of fully expressing the image in psychological, social, and
cultural terms. In this process, the author must not only have a deep knowledge

of linguistic means, but also a good understanding of the essence of human
psychology and social relations. Therefore, in literary analysis and editing,
paying special attention to the individuality of the hero's speech, its special
study and improvement is one of the important tasks of artistic creativity.
Main part:
Heroes in a work of fiction are images of life. They think, speak,
feel, and act in their own way, just like people in real life. If their speech is
indistinguishable from each other, the reader will have difficulty distinguishing
them individually, which will negatively affect the artistic power of the work.
Therefore, the hero's language should reflect his inner world, position in society,
life experience, and even psychological state.
The words used in the hero's speech should correspond to his level of
education, position in society, age, and personal qualities. For example,
characters who are scientists may use scientific terms, while characters who are
representatives of the people may use more simple, colloquial speech.
The hero's style of sentence construction also creates his speech image. For
example, a hero who uses clear, direct, and short sentences appears to be a
determined person. Others, on the other hand, think in long, complex, and multi-
level sentences - such speech reflects a complex thought and mental state.
The use of local dialect or elements helps to clearly show the origin,
national and regional characteristics of the hero. This is especially important
when expressing folk images. Interpersonal expressions, fragmented sentences,
sound imitations, verbless expressions and word plays are effective in creating a
vivid, lifelike image of the hero.
Individuality can also be created by expressing the emotional state of the
hero through his speech. For example, a worried, nervous hero may not finish
sentences, use words repeatedly.
Example 1: Speech of a representative of the common people
“This is our land, inherited from our fathers. We have always treated it as
our own.”- here the words are simple, touching and rich in spiritual feelings.
There is nationalism and simplicity in the vocabulary.
Example 2: Speech of a representative of science
“I am a supporter of analyzing this process within the framework of socio-
psychological mechanisms.” - such a sentence is composed of various lexical
layers, expresses a certain knowledge, methodological formality.
Example 3: The image of a young child

“Mom, wait for me! Take me there with you, there are bad people!” - the
hero’s speech is emotional, vibrant and rich in imagination. Lexical and syntactic
constructions specific to children are used.
Some writers write the speech of the hero so close to the author's style that,
as a result, all the heroes speak in one voice. This is a serious flaw in the literary
style. Therefore, each hero should have his own voice, style, and speech image.
The editor or analyst should pay great attention to preserving and clarifying
these differences.
Creating individuality in the speech of the heroes is an integral part of the
work of fiction, which greatly helps to fill it with clear, vivid and true images.
Through speech, the inner world, personal characteristics, social significance
and belonging of the heroes are revealed. If there is no individuality in the
speech of the heroes, they turn into inanimate images, and the existing effect of
the work is lost. Therefore, the speech of each hero is an important means of
expressing his personal characteristics and fully revealing his image.
One of the main means of creating speech individuality is lexical and
grammatical choice. Authors study the voice, words, and form of a character to
determine their character or personality traits. Dialects, accents, colloquial
speech, and psychologically based speech elements give new life to characters
and show their place in reality. Through the precise and accurate introduction of
intonation, words, and emotions, the character's inner feelings and external
relationships are realistic and complete.
Conclusion:
Ensuring the individuality of speech, undoubtedly, adds a
certain level of complexity and humanity to each hero. In literary works, various
psychological states, personal needs and social relationships of a person are
clearly shown through heroes. This provides him with an integral connection
between the writer and the reader.
As a result, creating individuality in the speech of heroes serves not only to
clarify their image, but also to enrich the literary work in terms of style and
content. At the same time, it enhances the impact of the work on the reader,
ensuring that it is perceived in a pleasant and memorable way. Each hero is an
integral part of this work with his speech characteristics. During the editing
process, it is important to correctly process their speech, eliminate unnecessary
and unnecessary elements, and pay attention to their individuality and
uniformity.
Also, the individuality of each character's speech is not only an important
practice in literary editing, but also an effective way to draw the reader closer to

life in reality or in a literary story. In addition, it creates an opportunity to create
an effect through words and phrases, to draw a parallel with the real world.
