The aim of the research work Ls to improve the treatment results of posttraumatic deformities of the elbow in children by optimizing diagnostics and developing the methods of differentiated surgical approaches of correction with the formation of anatomical shape and restoration its functions, depending on the type of curvature.
The scientific novelty of the research work is the following:
Identified the role of radiological methods of investigation in PTDEJ in children with the verification of their significance in identifying the nature, degree of severity and related complications;
Developed the clinical and diagnostic criteries to the differentiated choice of surgical treatment tactics of severe deformations of elbow joint and optimization the processes of formation its anatomical shape and locomotor function at all rehabilitation phases of children;
Proposed the new treatment and diagnostic algorithm for PTDEJ correction;
Developed the new methods of surgical correction of PTDEJ, which creates optimal conditions for restoration of the function of the elbow joint in the shortest possible time;
Proposed a new “complicated” method of surgical treatment of elbow joint varus deformity with “lateral epicondylar" syndrome;
Developed the new methods of surgical treatment of false joints of humerus condyle head (HCH) with valgus deformity of elbow joint in children; “HCH false joint resection, epicondylar correction varistating osteotomy and osteosynthesis by Ilizarov’s device", allowing to eliminate all types of elbow deformations in different planes at once;
