This article is dedicated to the study of the evolution of mass media in the Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan from 1973 to 1991, covering key aspects of organizational structure, content, and the role of regional media under the total control of Soviet authorities. It examines the activities of local newspapers, radio, and television, highlighting their significance as ideological tools of socialist propaganda. Special attention is given to the impact of censorship on editorial policies and the role that regional media played in shaping Soviet identity and maintaining public order through the promotion of socialist ideals.

CASTE AND TRIBAL INEQUALITIES IN ANDHRA PRADESH: A SOCIO-ECONOMIC PERSPECTIVE

This study examines the socio-economic inequalities faced by Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) in Andhra Pradesh, focusing on their access to education, healthcare, employment, and economic resources. Despite various governmental interventions, SCs and STs continue to face systemic challenges rooted in historical marginalization and structural disparities. The paper highlights key indicators of socio-economic development and analyzes the effectiveness of welfare schemes and affirmative action programs in addressing these inequalities. By integrating quantitative data and qualitative insights, the study underscores the need for tailored, community-specific policies to ensure equitable development and social justice for these marginalized groups in Andhra Pradesh.

BOLAT SALIEV: THE FALL OF UZBEKISTAN’S FIRST PROFESSOR OF HISTORY DURING SOVIET PURGES

This article explores the life and academic work of Bolat Saliev (1882-1937), the first Professor of History in Uzbekistan, focusing on his contributions to the development of historical scholarship in the region, his clash with Soviet ideology, and the eventual repression he faced during the Stalinist purges of the late 1930s. It examines the complex interplay of nationalism, Soviet ideology, and political repression in Soviet Uzbekistan during the early Soviet period. Through an analysis of Saliev’s life and scholarly activities, the article demonstrates the impact of Soviet political policies on intellectuals and historical studies in Central Asia.

The article examines the fact that the conflicting relations between the Bukhara Emirate and the Kokhan Khanate will become more complicated with the formation of the Orenburg-Tashkent trade caravan route.


It has been analyzed that the complete decentralization of the Bukhara Emirate and the inability to subjugate the independent O'ratepa hokimity hindered the Orenburg-Tashkent trade route.


It is explained that the continuous military raids of the Kokhan Khanate on the Oratepa hokimity are aimed at ensuring the safety of the Orenburg-Tashkent trade route.
