SIGNS OF SYMBOLISM IN NOVEL “THE SOUND AND THE FURY” BY W. FAULKNER

The current article is devoted to symbolism and analysis of some symbols in the novel by a prominent American writer William Faulkner “The Sound and The Fury”. The article is about the development of symbolism in the literature as well its influence on Faulkner’s works. Famous scholars’ sayings about  symbolism genre were also introduced in the article. Moreover, signs of symbolism are explained in his famous work “The Sound and The Fury” by the characters of the novel. This novel is divided into four parts and each prototype has their own symbols to express their outlook, behavior and mindset. The examples from the novel help to analyze the symbolic image of the characters, events or situation happened in the work. These features and other characteristics of the symbolism are also described in this article.

First of all, it should be noted that with the formation of humanity, crime also appeared. As a result, specific legal norms were gradually formed in order to punish the criminal. The proof of our opinion is the fact that in the written monuments, in modern language, the vocabulary units representing the concepts related to jurisprudence are recorded. For example, it should be noted that a number of terms or verb forms of terms found their expression in Mahmud Koshgari’s capital work entitled Dīwān Lughāt al-Turk  [1]. Here are some of them: ichkin  er – a spy, jalafar – royal ambassador, jalachi er – a suspicious person who immediately slanders a person in everything, kirtuvladi - considered true kuchadi – forced, boshatti – divorced, boshug‘u – release, etc.

Any social contact, communication and communication, including all legal relations through language it will be wet. It is impossible to express thoughts without language as it is not, the language also forms its expression without flkr can't. Therefore, the right is the basic human needs and if there is a means that ensures and guarantees the interests of language is the main factor in the realization of this right serves as a factor. Any idea, concept, sign, action and attitude related to law is expressed in words, i.e. made up of words, phrases, terms and terms relation to the form of expression, until it falls into the form of expression, social contact, interaction does not occur. The reality and existence of an opinion, especially a legal opinion also appears in the language. Without language, without words, nothing is clear and there will be no ready-made legal opinion. Opinion in legal language words, terms, and certain ones formed with the participation of these formed only through syntactic devices - sentence models and finds its expression in speech: language is a condition for the "existence" of law. That is why language and law serve society social, spiritual-educational and spiritual phenomena, language gives spirit to law. This article discusses some indispensable English and Uzbek legal terms from the linguistic point of view.

This article discusses abundant legal terms and law words in connection with lexical and semantic features of them in diverse context. It is entirely important to identify linguistic feature of legal terms to reach absolute or adequate translation of legal texts and legal terms. The use of language is crucial to any legal system, not only in the same way that it is crucial to politics in general, but also in two special respects. Legal language is the language which is used by the people (like lawyers and other legal professionals), engaged in legal profession. Like English and Uzbek languages, legal language itself is now a global phenomenon. It contains a number of unusual features which are related to Terminology, linguistic structure, and linguistic conventions. Due to its rich vocabulary, we find many problems in legal language like “ambiguity”, “multiple meaning”, and “doubtfulness in its contents”[1]. The article conveys numerous English and Uzbek legal terms and their lexical features.

EFFECTIVENESS OF A PROJECT-BASED APPROACH IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SPEAKING SKILLS IN HIGH SCHOOLS

The article is devoted to the investigation of the effectiveness of a project-based approach in the development of speaking skills in high school. A project-based approach is a learning model that enables students to participate actively in making a project within the group to improve English language skills. The research attempts to examine the impacts of a project-based approach on students’ fluency, accuracy, pronunciation as well as motivation.  As the present research is empirical, observation and a questionnaire were applied to collect data. A ten-step model for implementing projects in language teaching was used during the research process. The class chosen for research had never been engaged in making a project in previous lessons. Therefore, findings show that a project-based approach could improve students’ speaking skills and raise their motivation.

STRUCTURAL CLASSIFICATION OF THE LITERARY HERITAGE BY FIRAQI KHUQANDI

As one may know, in the literary milieu of Kokand, the traditions of Uzbek classical literature were very developed, in particular, kasidanavi, gazelles of famous poets, tatabbu, tahmist, written divans, which were later continued by a number of poets back in the 1920s. One of these followers, Dostmuhammad Firaki (1891–1965), who lived and worked in Kokand, wrote a divan in Uzbek and Persian. These divans are currently kept in the personal library of his daughter Mastura Nazirova. Some of his poems are also available on scattered pages in the personal archives of Charkhi and Firaki of the Kokand Literary Museum. All manuscripts have a special meaning in their writing. Also, poems and stories published in the newspaper Yangi Fergana (1960-61), an anthology Tree of Eternity (1989), and some poems published in Tazkira-i Kayumi (1998) have survived in prose to this day.


The article talks about the life path of Dostmuhammad Firaki Hkukandi, his literary heritage, their brief description, the theme of his poetry, genre features. The role of the literary heritage of the poet in the Kokand literary milieu and in classical literature in general is clearly shown.

ASPECTUAL - SEMANTIC ANALISYS OF THE VERB TO TALK

This article explores one of the issues in the moderen linguistics – aspectuality, its history hosting ancient origin, its types including turlocutive, illocutive, perlocutive and fields based on inchoative, interactive, procedural, terminative, resulting are discussed in samples of the authentic materials of world literature on the basis of aspectual-semantic field of the verb to tell in the English language. Moreover, scientific works of linguists through the world have been analyzed in aspectual semantics of verbs: whether the verb is finite/non-finite, and whether the action of the verb has reached this limit or not, including whether the action of the verb is completed or incomplete is observed. The distinction between these meanings, the limited/ unlimited properties, perfectivity/unperfectivity, acts, aspectual semantics also aspectual situations of verbs of speech perception and other particular peculiarities including some special characteristics of aspectuality are outlined in this article as well.

This article provides a detailed analysis of symbolisms as one of the  aspect of intertextuality in the drama "Aureng-zebe" by John Dryden. The article reveals  examples of symbolisms used in the play which have a direct and figurative meaning, helping the reader to comprehend  the meaning of the drama as well as the author's intention. The recent research is focused on the study of the phenomenon of symbols as a part of intertextuality in different communicative layers of the language which  helps  to  understand the text not only from the linguistic side, but also from the social, political, historical and cultural sides more deeply, connecting the writer’s idea with the reader’s,  interpreting the new meaning into our perception as well as conveying the thoughts of the writer and his philosophical ideas into the deeper consciousness of the reader.

PHENOMENA OF ANTONYMY AND SYNONOMY IN MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES

Until recently, it was believed that synonymy as a phenomenon is not characteristic of terminology, and one of the primary requirements for the term was the absence of synonyms. Due to the fact that the term is not a special word, but only a word in a special function, it must be characterized by the same linguistic phenomena as any other word of the general literary language, and therefore the phenomenon of synonymy. In terminology, synonyms are correlated with the same phenomenon, concept or object; they cannot characterize its various properties. In this regard, this phenomenon is recognized by some researchers as a terminological duplication.
