TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS ISSUES IN EFFECTIVE DEVELOPMENT OF
BUSINESS ACTIVITIES

Abstract.
In this article the importance of transport-logistic services in our
country, the specific features of modern transport-logistic services are discussed.
The paper highlighted the development of modern transport-logistic infrastructure
and ways to improve organizing strategy of transport-logistic services in our
country.

It is known that in the experience of the countries that take a leading place
in the world economy, achieving global competitiveness and entering world
markets, first of all, consistent economic reform and structural changes are all
related to the development of transport logistics services market. The importance
of logistics services is incomparable in rapid development of every sector of
Uzbekistan economy, including transport system.
For this reason, the attention of prestigious international organizations to
the development of our economy, as well as attraction of foreign investors, the
establishment of activities of many joint ventures and their branches, requires the
development of new territories and access to international markets. Therefore,
first of all, it is necessary to have transport corridors and modern transport and
logistics centers. Today, based on the needs of times, effective use of
transportation system of our republic, development of multimodal and
intermodal transportation, construction of new infrastructure objects, i.e.,
formation of transportation terminals is required. As a result of the expansion of
these multimodal transportation terminals at international level, they became
logistic centers, which together became the basis for the inclusion of international
transportation and logistics processes. In particular, in Navoi region, on
December 31, 2008, according to the decision of the President of the Republic of
Uzbekistan No. PD-1027 "On measures of establishing an international
intermodal logistics center at the base of Navoi city airport", "Navoi International
Intermodal Logistics Center" and together with the charter of August 12, 2009
"Angren Logistics Center" was established on August 17. Currently, there are two
logistics centers in our republic
–
Navoi and Angren cities, where the volume of
cargo and passenger transportation is increasing. It contributes to the
development of transportation process through logistics center operating in free
economic zone opened in Navoi region. The establishment of International

Intermodal Logistics Center in city of Navoi is not only an intercontinental
transport-expedition through South-East Asia and Europe.
It is possible to use it as a network, and at the same time, necessary
conditions are being created for establishment of new, modern high-tech
production enterprises in Navoi region and neighboring regions. Angren logistics
center is an export potential of Uzbekistan along with its strengthening,
specializes in timely and safe delivery of products produced in our country to
many countries of the world. In general, geographical location of our country has
gained strategic importance in the development of network of modern logistic
centers, it provides an opportunity to reduce costs related to transportation of
goods and effectively organize the logistics of production and trading companies.
Today, Angren logistics center provides transport-logistics services for goods
imported from 47 countries by rail and road in wagons and containers. The
increasing demand for logistics services due to rapid growth of trade relations of
the countries of the world has led to paying special attention to global logistics
centers, which are designed to implement the idea of integration of operations
carried out on international scale. The results of the research show that transport
companies, senders and receivers of goods can improve the quality of transport
services (adherence to shipment schedules, provision of additional services,
delivery of goods to any point on the globe), improve the transport-logistics
system in international cargo transportation, and increase the efficiency of the
use of vehicles. it is necessary to pay special attention to scientific and technical,
social and infrastructure-related factors. Finding a solution to infrastructural
problems within the framework of organization and development of modern
transport-logistics centers, and at the same time building a modern transport-
logistics infrastructure complex is one of international requirements (Fig. 1).
Transport-logistics infrastructure, i.e., gathering and effective use of
information for organization of logistics services, warehouse, transport and their
supply serve as the main means of developing logistics activities and coping with
international logistics competition. According to foreign researchers, the
organization of transport-logistics activities is characterized by the fact that it
meets the requirements of logistics infrastructure at the first international level
of competition. In conclusion, it can be said that the establishment of modern
transport and logistics services in our Republic and further development of these
services in our national economy, is precisely related to transport and logistics
infrastructure issues. The establishment of transport complexes carrying export-
import goods, warehouses and terminals for storing food products in
refrigerators, which are being built in modern transport-logistics centers, will,
first of all, further develop the activities of export-oriented enterprises, and
secondly, increase the number of small business entities and, together with this,
all of our economy serves for rapid development of networks.
